  1. I emailed Carnival on Jan 1st for my stockholders credit (with a copy of my statement, and all information needed), and on Jan 3rd Carnival emailed me back saying to use the new stockperks app. Not sure why they wouldn't just go ahead and approve the request, and say "hey for future reference you can use stockperks"
  2. Can you not apply them yourself online at carnival.com ? Or is this for the deposit?
  3. Some comedians do multiple shows, others do repeats. I guess Carnival just requires them to have content for one show, but some (most?) have more than one shows worth of content so they do more than one show?
  4. We got an Oh Ship box which had basic first aid things.
  5. It's been a few years since I've been on a fantasy class ship, but only one time (out of many) did they ever play a movie (and it was in the comedy club lounge), and that was because we were unable to dock that day and had a fun day at sea instead.
  6. No. I don't do any cash deposits in the casino. 😉
  7. Just a data point for reference: I submitted my shareholder claim on 3/13 (at night time) and was approved on 3/15 for my November cruise. So claims are being handled very quickly at the moment.
  8. The limit is $250 OBC for 14+ days sailing. How are you coming up with $500?
  9. I love popcorn, and still get it when it watching a movie on Carnival, but it really is pretty bad. Here is a picture of what we got on our cruise in 2021 on the Valor I believe.
  10. Does each platinum cruiser also get the chocolate delight? Or is it one per room (assuming 2 platinum cruisers are in said room)?
  11. On our last cruise (Valor last November) but they wouldn't sell (or pop any popcorn) until after the movie started. It was 5 minutes before the movie started, and they wouldn't pop/sell any. The bar staff acted like it was a big inconvenience to make/sell any popcorn.
  12. Last time I tried, I was able to (this was in early 2022). 🙂
  13. I believe they sometimes sell out. Also depending on what else you have recently charged to your credit card, it could raise a red flag with your credit card company (multiple purchase in different states because you are traveling) and your credit card could be locked until you can call and confirm the charges (hard to do while at sea) and could cause some problems if you also used that credit card for your sail and sign account.
  14. Not anymore. You use to get your sail and sign card at check in (which has your folio number on it), but now you do not get anything at checkin. You go to your rooms and your sail and sign cards are outside your room.
  15. My PVP quit during Covid and never sent a message saying they quit or anything. Tried emailing him because of an issue with a booking, but never got a response. Never heard from any other PVP saying they were taking over his clients.
  16. We sailed out of Mobile on one of the fantasy class ships (Elation maybe?) in January once. Anyway, it was very cold on embarkation day (temperatures in the 40's I believe. And on the fantasy class ships, there is no heat! It was freezing the first day. We drove in from up north where it was even colder, so we had our coats with us. Other people I saw (and heard) only packed shorts, for the entire trip and were freezing, miserable, and mad (at themselves for not packing pants). By day 2 it was much warmer, but still a little cool for a Caribbean vacation. By the time we got to Mexico it was 75-80 degrees and nice. Alot of people were swimming in the ocean, but it was to cold for me. Moral of the story, look at the weather forecast for New Orleans a few days before you leave and you should know what kind of temperatures to expect.
  17. You should be diamond the entire cruise. You can check this by looking at your boarding pass / cruise information page. It should say Diamond there right after your name and VIFP # it shows your status for that cruise.
  18. Just for reference, I sent in my shareholder request by email on September 29th, and just got approved today (October 25th). So it's still taking about a month to get it approved. Also just for reference, I booked using the RU2 drinks on us offer, and was approved.
  19. Just curious, what port arrival time did you select? Or was able to select? I'm guessing the C boarding group has a port check in time of 11:30 or 12?
  20. I have a soft sided cooler on wheels with a handle that I tried to use once. The security guard wouldn't allow it since it was bigger then the 12" x 12" cooler carnival allows to be brought on board. I tried to argue it was a suitcase since it had wheels and a handle, but they wouldn't allow it. Luckily we were parked at the port, so I took it back to my car and put the cans in a backpack I had also brought along.
  21. Use cash first, then add the prepaid card as a backup. You can also purchase carnival gift cards online and at most supermarket type stores that sell gift cards. The first or second day on board you can go to guests services and add the cash or carnival gift cards to your onboard account. What I see happening on my credit card is everyday there is a hold placed for what my S&S account is. So by the end of the cruise the holds are 2 or 3 times what my actual bill is at the end. You would need a prepaid card with the 2 or 3x on it to cover all the holds. This is why debit cards are not recommend, as there is alot of holds being placed that eventually get released, but not until several days after the cruise. It would be very easy for all the holds to eat up the balance on the prepaid card, then at the end of the cruise there isn't enough available balance on the card not used during the holds to finalize the charge. Now the person is stuck with a bill they cannot pay until all the holds drop off 3-7 days later.
  22. If it's a special casino rate, you most likely will have to pay the difference (going rate at the time vs the special rate). If it's just a special rate not involving the casino, who knows. Carnival has the right to charge you the difference, which they may or may not do.
  23. Those are special casino rates specific to you, and not available to everybody. My rate for the same cruise is $184/person plus tax.
  24. I believe you would need to do it again. But it won't take as long, as your info is all saved, so it's just entering when you plan to enter, how long, and where you are staying.
