Well I've just rung them and they say they have stopped doing them themselves, but I have been  given links to another site that is doing them on their behalf called AZOVA, so have re-booked appointments there. I hope to god this all works!!

    Simon

Do you have a link please

  2. We booked a cruise for April on Arvia, whilst on a crusie end of July.

We only had to pay £100 deposit so no great fuss if we dont go, oe as others have said we can look at the price when we have to pay balance.

    We also got £880 OBC

1st time we have done this but looked a good deal to me, it appears that this cruise was the 'special offer' as they were a lot of takers at the time

I have just had an email from P&O (in the same format as posted above, saying up to £200 extra OBS for our 28 night, 11th November Caribbean cruise on Aurora (R217).  We have already paid the balance (last payment date was tomorrow to a well used agent who we had booked with).  I wonder how much we will get, we booked a deluxe Balcony for that one so could be a fair amount, but I assume not the £200, which will be for suites.

DH about to apply for his share benefit as well and we booked at launch price, which was very good.  Just looked at the current price for the same grade of cabin and it is more than twice what we paid, but it did sell out quite quickly at launch, so likely not much availability, unless a lot of people do not pay the balance of course.

We are doing the same itinerary on Ventura next August so it was interesting reading about your experiences, thank you.

I followed Ventura on the ship tracker for the last fortnight so see where she docked etc. We have a port side balcony cabin booked and she seemed to dock on that side more often than not.

We have to go in the summer holidays as I look after my Grandson and my daughter works term times so we are thinking of paying extra for the Retreat depending on price.

We have just returned from this cruise, and we took the option of the retreat for the full 2 weeks.

Cost was £240, and in my view full value for what we want when on board.

A couple of tiny gripes with it but noyjing that would stop us doing it again.

    Your summer at sea...

We’re so delighted you’ll be on board with us this summer. If you’ve sailed with us before, we can’t wait to welcome you back. If it’s your first holiday with us, we’re thrilled you’ve chosen P&O Cruises and hope you’ll have a fantastic time.

As you’ll have seen in the media, and perhaps experienced in many hospitality and leisure venues in the UK, there are currently supply chain challenges as well as global staff shortages. Cruise ships are no exception. Despite this, we are, of course, fully committed to giving you the most wonderful holiday possible while we may have to make the occasional change. Currently, opening days and times in our speciality restaurants are being affected as well as service in some bars. Please bear with us – your patience is hugely appreciated.

Ashore, you’ll find we still have incredible adventures in stunning destinations for you to discover those moments that really matter. There are also a number of new experiences across our ships for you to enjoy such as new menus, extra entertainment, special guests and activities (plus all the usual P&O Cruises favourites). It’s going to be a spectacular summer at sea!

Yeah we got the same thing today, no great surprise after reading this forum for the past few months

  6. Got notification recently about my cancelled cruise in December, disappointing but I understand.

They said they would contact me re refund or credit another cruise within 10 days, this they did on the 9th day and refund recieved today on the 12th Day.

The shortest wait I had forrefunds from my previous 3 cancelled cruises with other cruise companies was 3 months.

Sadly just received notification that the 19th July is cancellled.

    Gutted!!!!

Since March 2020 our priority has been to work with public health, medical and scientific experts as well as industry bodies and various Government departments to put in place an approved framework of protocols to protect the health and wellbeing of our crew, guests and the communities we visit, both during our pause in operations and once we begin sailing.

These protocols, of which we are very proud, have proven to be very effective and we had no cases of Covid-19 in over 5,000 crew members until last month when a small number of cases were identified amongst new crew boarding the ship.

Working with Southampton Port Health we have taken steps to successfully contain the situation and one of these actions has been to limit new crew joining the ship. This has meant we will not be able to complete final essential preparations or deliver our comprehensive training schedule to the full contingent of crew prior to our first few scheduled sailings as we return to service.

Therefore, I am very sorry, but your voyage will have to be cancelled. We know how much everyone has been looking forward to these coastal holidays but we will not sail until we are ready to deliver the Cunard experience you’d expect. After such a long period it is critical that all our crew are trained in the new procedures and refreshed in the very special White Star service which makes a Cunard voyage so memorable.

I have just replaced this with a 4 nighter on Britannia which leaves 18th July.

I can but hope this one goes
