  1. Yet we are on 14 night cruise in May and there are 4 formal nights
  2. Thanks thats good news, I did set up a thread with this very query a few weeks back.
  3. Emirates Flight was very good, 4hr or so layover.
  4. I think only 23hrs inclding layovers is pretty good. We travelled with cunard on a segment some years ago, that was with Emirates, with a 25hr journey
  5. OK thanks. I assume then that the luggage is collected outside the room at the end of the cruise and transported to the airport, where we collect it again for checking in?
  6. Does anyone know if these fly cruises are the same as those going to the Carribean, in that your luggage is taken to and from the Airport /ship? I'm assuming the flights we are on are charter flights?
  7. Get straight on coach from plane nothing more at airport You will need to show boarding pass at port and get photo taken even though you have done it online Very quick process after going thru the queue
  8. We have just got off the latest Britannia cruise and we did not complete anything before entering Curacao. Just a tip take a phot of your passport page for your phone as ome ports require photo id on shore so ot saves have to take passport etc,
  9. We are on the same cruise I have packed my 4 Carribean shirts which I wear whether celebration nights or not
  10. We do the majority of the time we have been on cruises
  11. We did this last November with P&O. I dont remember the ground being uneven, you have to do a bit of walking, its not 90 minutes of walking though. The worst part was the coach journey (I hate coaches with my long legs) , although we did have a guide talking theorugh it all on route. Catherines bar was in situ, it looks a lot better on TV than it does from the beach, we were able to have a sit down and a drink in the bar
  12. I have tried to book PE on my cruise in Sept, unfortuantely it is full, does that mean I would be entitled to a refund of my deposit? Will it stop me going? No but that is my choice, I am 6'2" and will just have to live with it. I fully understand those for 'medical' reasons who need more room
  13. You can ring either your travel agent or P&O and pay the money (too mcuh for what you get in my view), then 14 weeks before you can pick your seat.
  14. Most of the transport are 6 to 8 seater Van / buses, you pay at the Kiosk for tickets one way or return. A little bit of a wait if you disembark / return at busy times but other than that its fairly starightforward. You just ahnd the taxi / van driver the ticket and thats it
  15. We fly 11-10 from Gatwick on 13th Jan. We have upgraded on the 3 other occasions we have flown to the Carribean on a fly cruise. The cost of almost £900 for the seat upgrade is way too much, it looks like I will cram my self into economy, and spend the money saved on something else.
  16. Mustique already sold out on this cruise. I had a look to book it myself
  17. Just returned from cruise on Aurora. On the last night in the restaurant, they announced they would resurrect the tradition of the chefs parading through the restaurant with all guest showing their appreciation. (waving of white napkins) Apparently this was last done back in 2016/17. It seemed to go down very well with everyone, I wonder if this will be limited to the Aurora or the tpher ships will do it as well?
  18. We were on the Aurora back in November / December. We are on her again in 10 days time We were on Arvia 6 weeks ago, and to be honest we were pleasantly surprised, it was so much better than we expected. (our cruise was during Easter Holidays). We liked the modern décor, facilities, and the numerous choices of dining. Its so difficult to compare because they are so different in many ways. For me it is all about what you want, I prefer to have adults only, but you have to accept there is a premium for that. Would I go on the Arvia / Iona again, yes.
  19. I am currently on this cruise, currently in Sunny Barcelona Yes the MDR booking is a bit of a nuisance in that you could have to wait 45 mins to an hour (not always this long) after booking but no big deal in the great scheme of things, once you realise thats the way it could be Its great with all the different venues to eat, although some are extra. I dont like the booking of shows etc, I see no need for it, same on all ships now I believe. All in all we just get on with it and enjoy our holiday.
  20. Contact medical dept they will no doubt dispose and invite you to Quarantine yourself.
  21. Outrageous no way am I paying that for either of my cruises in April & May
  22. 6 black tie nights?? Normally a max of 2 per formal nights for each 7 nights duration I don't think you will be allowed access (at lest youshouldnt be) without a tie on formal evenings.
  23. We were on the 'small ship' I got the same picture
