  1. Thank you both. Is the rise and shine reservation only? It doesn't say "book on board" like a lot of things do.
  2. I see the following events listed, can anyone provide a little more information about what they are and their opinion of them if they have one: Social Solo Squad Rise and Shine Time for a Treat: History of Timepieces Morning Mind Benders in the loose cannon Charmer's Lounge at SIP (Is this charmer performing?) Blend the rules whiskey tasting (is it an upcharge?) Horseplay seahorse auction
  3. FOD I knew, I did not know about Bill W. Got me to learn something, including some history on the organizationn
  4. I'm wondering if this is a private group or blogger or person on the boards. I noticed there is a meetup for "Friends of Bill W." one afternoon
  5. When is a good time to check the passenger load? Is 5 days out too soon? And if I am not a TA, is the only way to check by asking crew?
  6. Because NSA ISN'T at 9:45, it is at 8pm every night except one when it is 6:45. And the shows in the Red Room (like SITN and DR) are at 9. I'm not worried about being tired, just concerned about not being too rushed since a cruise is supposed to be relaxing. The top 2 priorities for this trip are Pajama Night and Scarlet Night. For shows it is NSA and DR, though we may book one of the other shows once we have our schedule written out. I tend to overplan, while still leaving room for spontaneity, so A. I know I can see the main things I wanted to see, and B. I don't have to do any thinking or stressing while on the vacation whether its a cruise, Disney, Universal, etc.
  7. I've searched everywhere and can't find the policy for a family of 3. So two adults and a 20 year old daughter. Do you have to book 2 rooms? Book a Suite? Sail on a line that allows 3 to a room? 😉
  8. Tough Decisions. We have dinner at 6:45 at Extra Virgin in Sunday (night one). NSA starts early at 8 that night. That may be cutting it close unless our servers can help us be done. And we have to walk to the show from there. Is 8 doors open or show starts right at 8?
  9. The early PJs tip is a good one. My wife's is satin shorts and a neglige like top with some lace and plunge at the back. I guess a bit revealing so she may not want to wear that unless she sees people also in their PJ's at NSA
  10. You mentioned "netting up the pools" Is there a closing time for each pool?
  11. You posted the all the things that were happening on the Valiant Lady, How can I see what all the things not listed in the app? EX: magician, seminars. etc? There is so much more going on during the day that we would like to do.
  12. How do I see this for the Scarlet Lady? I'm doing this from my laptop, not a phone, but does the app sooner or later have this also?
  13. Leaving on a Sunday and that first night is sailaway from 6 to7, we have 7pm dinner, and NSA is at 9:45 ending at around 11 for the PJ Party. Not sure if that is the best way to experience things. Someone noted that the mood coming out of NSA to the party could be fun. We will sleep in before driving from South Beach to the ship and maybe take a nap in the afternoon. But still wonder if it is "too much". Also, we may have to rush from NSA to get changed into PJs and then to the back of the ship for the PJ party. Do people wear their nighties all over the ship starting at 11?
  14. You guys are the best. Is that little teapot next to the sink what they give you to brew it in? Is it a press or infuser, or a screen at the top you pore through?
  15. I see a notice in the google search from the Meta Data google shows on Virgin that says pressed juices are "on us" for health month or somesuch. That is January-March. But when you actually read the website or search for details, I can't find it. It even looked like some smoothies and things with Alcohol were included. Mimosas? Anyone know?
  16. My wife drinks tea like I drink mixed drinks on a cruise. She likes Rooibos, Whit Tea, Green Tea, and some specialty teas. She hates Earl Grey. Would you have an idea of what teas are available on the Scarlet Lady and where to get them?
  17. Scarlet Lady, end of January, what time is sailaway/sailaway party now that the time has changed and it gets dark early?
  18. Wondering what is was like on deck of a moving ship when we had such an arctic blast. I don't know if temps went below 60 on the ocean and if that requires a jacket. It was in the teens at night down into the Carolinas.
  19. How is the Scarlet Lady going to be in 2 places at once? It is on the "Rivera Maya" cruise Jan 29 to Feb 3rd. Pretty sure you are on the Valiant Lady.
  20. I think I read the day before is when disembarkation is opened up. I guess I'll check at random times. Razzle seems like the go to place for Brunch or Breakfast, though the Wake and Galley seem to have decent food. Breakfast isn't my big thing. I would love a dinner type lunch and a smallish dinner if I had my druthers. Or just snack all day 😉 The strange this is I want to try the Reuben Hot Dog! LOL
  21. Where do you recommend having your last morning breakfast? Also, when can you schedule disembarkation?
  22. I think sailaway is earlier in the winter from Miami. If what I am seeing is correct, it is 5:30 till 7
  23. I will answer my own question. I would really suggest they redesign how to make reservations. I almost went to bed with only one reservation thinking others would open each day. The reason is you have a screen with one date on it, the first day of the cruise. You can then look for restaurants in the list and select a time. There are multiple screens until you hit "done". When you go back to the restaurant screen, clicking on the date bar does nothing. You would think you change the date and make a selection for the next day. It is very misleading because you see a date, then see all the restaurants with their times. I just started clicking on things and found that when you click on the picture of the restaurant, you can then see a calendar and change the date you want to dine and look for times. They really either need to remove the date at the top and have you click into each picture so choose a date, or put the date selector at the top of that main screen. Now I can't decide if I want to wing it the last night with the galley or seeing if we can go back to our favorite restaurant. It can feel rushed to have to go to a reserved time for dinner each night instead of saying, "I'm hungry, let's go see what's in The Galley" 😉
