Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I enjoyed the key perks on Allure. We walked right on the ship embarkation day, lunch was quiet and relaxing. We kept one small essential bag with us and other bags were waiting for us in the room around 1:30. We travel light so we only brought carry ons. I really enjoyed not having to hunt for a theater seat. We didn’t have the best or closest seats but definitely good seats. No longer getting to the theater early only to find row after row after row of people saving seats was a big plus. Royal sucks at enforcing the no saving seat policy. My friend would sit in the seat anyway and ignore the dirty looks and comments. I send a lot of texts, emails and picts to friends and family so internet was great. Breakfast on the last day was very good. We walked quickly off Allure. A wonderful way to end the cruise. Only you can decide what these perks are worth to you. We didn’t use all the available perks We enjoyed the ones we did use especially on the larger ships. My husband and I are on a family cruise,Symphony , October 2024 in a balcony cabin. The cheapest price for the key so far is $36.99 per person per day. Most of the time it is $49.99. Crazy high, hoping for a large price drop before we sail.
  2. jjduck, Open the app. On the first page above day 1 at the top there are 3 icons. Click on the person icon on the right. Then scroll down to manage your booking and click on that. It’s under Guests and your names. All your booking information plus payment link should be there. Hope this helps. Kathy
  3. On my cruise planner it said no payment due. My cruise is not until October 2024 so I figured I had time for Royal to correct the issue since I have only paid the deposit and gratuities. I had to hunt on the app but found my balance due and link to pay. Come on Royal, this is unacceptable.
  4. I was charged yesterday when I called to prepay gratuities for my October 2024 sailing.
  5. My husband and I are both seniors, 71 & 74. I purchased the key for our Allure cruise in 2022. Boarding was so easy, less than 10 minutes for an Oasis Class ship. We headed straight to the dining room to drop off our carry on bags. Next we checked in at our muster station and then back to the main dining room for a quiet, Chops lunch. No more crazy WJ with tons of people. After lunch we reserved shows and walked around the ship. Rooms were ready at 1pm and as promised luggage was waiting for us in our room. I especially enjoyed the reserved seating at shows. Getting off the ship was stress free with a nice breakfast and quick departure. Luggage was in an area marked for key people and very easy to locate. Having internet was nice but we enjoyed the other perks much more. I bought the key for our Symphony cruise in 2024 but will reprice if lower for Black Friday sales. For me the key was worth the extra money.
  6. Booked! Having lunch at Jamie’s on Symphony day 2. Great price at 35% off.
  7. I loved the Beach Club. I found the food good but too heavy for a beach day. My husband and I skipped dinner on the ship since we were still full. What I enjoyed was the quiet, infinity pool, shaded comfy lounge chairs and early morning coffee with pastries. It felt like a private resort. Since they limit the number of people it was never very busy I would reserve again if the price was right. I’m going on Symphony October 2024 and the price for the club is too expensive for me. I decided to reserve a beach bed since we will be there with Allure and Symphony arrives second. When I booked the cruise we were the only ship scheduled. The priced has already doubled for a beach bed.
  8. I will also be at Coco Cay in October 2024. Sailing on Symphony the week of October 20. I reserved a day bed just in case the Beach Club is too expensive or sells out before I can reserve. We went to the Beach Club in September, 2022, loved it.. I just found out Allure will also be at Coco Cay the same day and arrives and hour before us. Happy I was able to reserve a day bed with 2 Oasis class ships in port.
  9. My husband and I loved the Beach Club in September. We are both in our 70’s with mobility issues. It was just what we needed to enjoy a full day at CocoCay. Not crowded with easy access to the ocean, infinity pool, restaurant, bathrooms, bar, and there was even a place to get morning coffee. The lounge chairs were comfortable with large umbrellas, trees for shade and chairs had flags to raise if you wanted a drink. I love to swim and the infinity pool was perfect for me. My husband loves to swim in the ocean so he spent a lot of time there. The open air covered restaurant is very nice but more of a specialty restaurant. Kinda of heavy for a beach day. We both enjoyed a late lunch of steak and lobster but skipped dinner that evening. I think kids would like the free food offered on the island more. We enjoyed the waterpark in 2019 but no longer able to climb the stairs to the slides or go in the wave pool. The Beach Club isn’t for everyone but it was perfect for us.
