  1. Looks like another positive day for Carnival stock...

I sold my 103 shares this morning (after buying in May) for a small $34.00 profit (plus the $100 onboard credit I received on the cruise I just came back on).

    It's a great deal!

I will be doing this again on whatever cruise line I go on next.

Will any of those analysts make up the difference if that proves to not come to pass?

Will any certified financial planner make up the difference if the portfolio they put together for you dropped in value?

Maybe Elon Musk can send us money if we invest in Tesla and it drops?

    C'mon.

Of course, the "return" is a factor of the stock price. If the stock price stays at 9.075 for the next year, the "return" would indeed be just over 10% (provided that the shareholder took an eligible cruise and qualified for $100 in onboard credit).

    How likely is that? Well:

The stock is down 3.5% today.

The stock is down 8% in the past week.

the stock is down 53% in the past year.

The stock is down 86% in the past five years.

So, as long as all the things that worried investors today, last week, last year, and since 2018 can be fixed by management --- while dealing with $35 billion in debt, the most recent of which carries an interest rate of 10.75 %--- I guess it's a "great time to buy".

So I take it you're not very optimistic on the future of the stock...

That being said, your analysis doesn't include that you can get the on board credit multiple times in the same year if you take multiple cruises.  AND you can sell the stock right after your cruise if you like. It's not like you have to hold it for certain period of time. I recently bought for my May cruise.  I could sell at the end of May and be done with it if I choose.

I was just on the Celebration and didn’t see any real poker games!

Oh man, that's a bummer!  I'm going on the Celebration in a couple weeks and was hoping to play some poker.

Does anyone know what the minimum bet was on the table games?  Such as 3 card poker?

  5. What are the best places to eat on depart day?

Can you make reservations for the roller coaster with the Carnival app? Is this only available when the cruise starts?

    What are the current shows?

What nights are elegant nights for the current eastern Caribbean cruise itinerary and are lobster tails offered both elegant nights in the main dining room?

For the elegant nights, are guys allowed in khakis and button up shirts? (Trying to avoid suit/tux)

If anyone has current Funtimes saved, please post them.

    Thank you!

  6. When we’re the formal nights?

Was lobster available both of these nights in the main dining room?

As far as what people wore on formal nights, did you notice several people just in khakis/button up shirt or were the vast majority done up in tuxes/suits?

I was able to book dining three months in advance of my March 2023 cruise. Call 'em. Only thing you can loose is time

Thanks. I was able too book my reservation yesterday.  It was so weird.  I was originally trying via the Carnival website on my PC compute so I thought "maybe I'll be able to do this from the Carnival app on my phone?".  So after downloading the app and logging in, the app indicated that I couldn't make reservations via the app (maybe because it's prior to the cruise?) but it directed me to the Carnival website via my phone browser.  So I did that and it worked!  I don't know why it would show up on the Carnival website with my phone browser but not on the Carnival website when I was viewing it with my desktop PC.
