So are you saying call and cancel?  If so, how long was it before the price dropped?

Call and let them know that your pricing is more than the current offer. They can pull up your reservation and see if there is anything they can do. I was told they can do a 1 time courtesy upgrade or they can connect you to a different deptpartment to see if they can give you a credit.

I know it's just coming into its Caribbean season, so there might be changes, but any favorite bartenders from recent Encore sailings? I see Clarence has moved on to the Prima, so sad to miss him this time around.

I'm running out of things to obsess about with ~four weeks out til vacation, so humor me.

At least you are down to 4 weeks. We still have 76 days. Keep us in the loop when you get back of good bartenders to keep our eyes out for!

    Until it happens to you…

Nope. Not my family. We roll with the punches, find the good in the bad and be grateful that we are on vacation,  where ever it ends up being. When we book a cruise, we go in fully understanding that the vacation we book may not be the vacation we get, especially in hurricane season. We enter into the contract with the cruise line, accept the terms and always get the insurance. The insurance is there the help level the playing field with cruise line. I bet the NCL isn't the only cruise line that had an iternary change for whenever the OP's cruise was.

  4. Seeing these pics gives me PTSD from our last NCL. My husband and I spent a week in one of these "closets". (Long story that almost killed a friendship") The bright spot was you could never truly fall out of bed because you just ended up in the weirdly wedged position between the mattress and counter.

    J603,

That looks like a nice hotel.   Right now prices are around $166 but for our dates, it jumps to $455 and $330.

Where are they getting these prices from?   Guess I just bite the bullet and book it.

I usually book the rate allows free cancellations so that I can help checking the rates as the date get closer and if I find a great late minute deal, I have the flexibility to book the better rate.

    One person is fine.

When NCL allows you to begin check-in process around 12:01 AM, skip ahead to select your check-in time at the pier first, and then go back and enter all the information.

If you're logged in prior to midnight, you might need to refresh the page for the check in tab to become available.

    Mike

This makes me want to try this. Hahaha
