  1. Giving NCL the proper notice will ensure a much wider variety of foods available to you. Also, on the first night, ask to speak with the head or assistant head maitre de in the main dining room and explain your allergy. They will might ask you to order your dinner the night before so they can make sure that is something they can prepare GF. At the buffet, if you speak to the staff there they usually can get you GF toast and such. Hope this helps. I travel with my friend who has Celiac Disease so I learned the ins and outs real fast.

  2. Here is NCL's website info "If you have any food allergy or a dietary requirement that requires Kosher meals or gluten-free food product, please advise a Norwegian Reservations Agent, or your Travel Agent at the time of booking. Obtaining the product for many of these requests requires 30-days notice prior to sailing, and we want to ensure that we are able to fulfill your request. We cannot guarantee Kosher Meal requests made within 30 days of sail date. For the protection of all of our guests, it is not permissible to bring aboard any food items that would require preparation by the ship’s staff, or food items that would require cold storage in our kitchen facilities." I will go further to say, contact the help desk at NCL at the same time too just to ensure that you will have a successful and enjoyable experience. "In order to make your cruise experience as enjoyable as possible and so that we can try to meet your specific needs, call (866) 787-3935 (voice), fax (305) 468-2171, send an email to accessdesk@ncl."

  3. Checking in here at my desk to say I am looking forward to your review. I would pretend that I will not check this while I am at work, but I wouldn't be fooling anyone, so instead I will say that I am reading this while "waiting for my files to copy and process". Yeah, that's it. :) Have a blast!

  4. Uh huh, I saw that too! I'm thinking they could have just filled up the ship with whatever space was available. I'm wondering if NCL is using the other days for the grand opening of Harvest Caye.

Oh well... in the end it just gives me more time to get more NCL credit card reward points to cash in towards the cruise. My revenge to NCL is paying very little out of pocket for the cruise. :D

Hahaha!!!! More reward points for another vacation is ALWAYS a bonus!!!! :D:D:D

  5. I know who chartered the ship. It is a company called It Works. I am friends with a couple of people that are sellers of their products and the have posted about it. It is a promotional thing for their employees. The company is calling it the "It Works cruise takeover".

  6. I so can't believe that there is even such a thing as a furry cruise!!!!!! My son is going to laugh his butt off when I show him this!!!!! I am really sorry to all the peeps left dangling in the wind by NCL. It would be nice if they had it a little bit more together to be able to keep the already booked passengers in the know.

  7. I did have a friend that was on an Alaskan cruise and half the ship was a almost charter sized group of tourists. Maybe it was something like that. On the down side my friend had a miserable experience that week because the way too large group got far more attention and clogged up a lot of the public spaces. They ended up calling NCL after it was so bad.
