  1. Another response came today: Mrs. Goodman, your feedback is extremely valuable to us, as it is through constructive suggestions that we will be able to maintain the high standards toward which we consistently work. Nonetheless, we understand that our offerings may not suit every traveler, and we do hope that no matter what cruise line you choose to sail in the future, you experience safe and enjoyable vacations at sea. Thank you again for contacting our office and bringing your issues to our attention, we wish you all the best. Special Advisor Office of the President I took out the name as I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to print it.
  2. Yes. The same lady emailed that most people enjoy the Music Walk which has been reviewed as some of the best entertainment on board a ship. I did not keep the message. In essence, HAL said it won't be changed anytime soon. We just booked the Enchanted Princess and have an Oceania, RCCL, and another Princess booked for the next two years. I love everything about HAL except the entertainment and that is very important to us. I read another post recently on FB, I think, that said people who are happy don't usually write comments. People who are not happy, write. Perhaps that is correct.
  3. I love your pictures! So, on the dolphin Deck, one can actually look down into the water. And the lifeboats are right underneath the Dolphin Deck, but you cannot see them. However, if they are lowered if we are anchor, you can hear that noise? Is that all accurate?
  4. I called Guest Relations yesterday and spoke to this nice woman who is sending my comments to another department and should get back to me next week. My suggestion is for all of us who feel this way should call Guest Relations to express our displeasure. I thought the comment about how many cruise assistants there are on each ship enlightening. And now that the Cruise Director is combined with the Tour Director, there are even fewer activities.
  5. We have a Grandeur of the Seas in March 2020, and in 2021 an Oceania and Princess. I'm looking at a Princess for the 2020 Thanksgiving cruise.
  6. We would like to have a suite. The midship suites are all under the Lido deck. That surprised me. I always think I will hear noise in my cabin if it is below (or above) public rooms. The other suites are either aft or at the front of the ship. We do prefer to be mid-ship. So, we are looking into the Club mini-suites. They are smaller rooms, but well-situated. I would love to hear opinions as we do not often sail Princess and do not know their ships too well.
  7. I'm booking a new cruise today, not because it's Black Friday (although that is a thought.) It's for next Thanksgiving time. This is the fourth cruise we will have booked for 2020 -2021 time period. Now there is a perfectly good cruise on HAL's Neiux Amsterdam at the exact time period we choose to go. And we are 4 star Mariners, so we get lots of perks. We love the Neptune Suites, the service is impeccable, the food is just what we like and I love the promenade deck. However, we are NOT BOOKING on HAL. We are so tired of the lousy entertainment. We just go off of the Zuiderdam last month. The stage shows are only dancers, no singers. We left the comedian's show as he repeated the same line 10 times before he got to the punch line, "Men, watch what happens when I say these words," or something like that, and didn't even bother with the impersonator as we were told about it prior to the later show. We are tired of the dueling pianos and B.B. King performances. Both are fun for two evenings each, but they get repetitive. And there is nothing else happening on board all day except for trivia games or purchasing promotions. There are no interesting lectures except about port excursions. There's no dance music before dinner. I know others have mentioned the exact same thoughts. Is anybody listening who can change this? If I thought the entertainment would be upgraded this year, I'd jump aboard.
  8. Thank you! Our cruise is in 2021. I'm sorry about your visit. We will avoid this hotel.
  9. What are the amenities offered on the Marina A3 Concierge Veranda level? Thank you.
  10. In some cities, it is better to use one service over another. We discovered this on our last vacation. I realize this is not a HAL topic, but I bet someone might know the answer and I didn't know where else to ask the question. Which is better in Quebec City? Uber or Lyft?
  11. I was wondering if Hurricane Dorian hurt the docking areas in Canada. I read on FB that these ports might need to be accessed by tenders. Does anyone have any information about these ports? We sail October 9.
  12. I don't recall ever having a problem. I believe I asked for the number they were assigning the wine bottle so that it was easier to find the next evening.
  13. We are going to disembark from an Oceania cruise, stay overnight in Southampton for one night and then embark on a Princess ship on June 4. Please recommend a hotel for us. we do need A/C, just in case. We would prefer hotel that is in a pleasant area so that we can enjoy the town of Southampton (not sure what is available in Southampton.) I read there is a mall near the port, but I wonder if there is a walking street with restaurants and shops? I'll do research on Southampton, but info on hotels would be appreciated.
  14. We just booked 9038. Is that far enough away from the lounge noise?
