Not sure why everyone else is getting higher rate than me. I booked at $125 for the garden-view room. I checked again today and it went down to $119. I could have cancelled my old reservation and rebook, but I didn't want to chance someone booking the same room at the same time. I called in and got my rate adjusted.
$119 was for the 2 queens or 1 king garden-view. Water-view = $159. Balcony = $169.
This is also for Valentine's Day. I used the flexible dates and got $119 for the entire month.

Not sure why, but I tested out the 2/4 date for 4 people and I got $145 instead of $149. For the 3/21 date for 2, I got $125.
If you don't need a place to stay the night before, parking at port is the way to go. In my case, the extra $29 (the difference of $6 + tax) is worth it. If I couldn't get this deal, I would have drive to Long Beach from San Jose the morning of departure. :)

That's the old code that doesn't work anymore. :(

It's working again.

If you're crazy, then I'm crazier. I've been on one itinerary 4 times already. :( Unfortunately, I'm willing to go on the same one again if my family isn't too bored with it already.

:) Never mind.

The night before the sale, I debated with myself over booking....decided to hold off. The next day, the "sale" started and my priced for the cabin went up about $200.00. That is not a sale.......
Yes. It is not a sale. However, is there a benefit to waiting until the sale is over? If I was in your shoes, I wouldn't book either since I would feel deceived. However, I don't see a benefit of waiting if there is a cruise that you are planning already.
I'm having the same problem with Carnival stock price. I was really considering it at $31 something earlier this month. I was researching to see what is the best way to buy. At $34 now, I wouldn't buy simply because I "could have" bought it $3 cheaper.

I think some people are waiting for the sale to end so that Early Saver might come back on the cruise they want to book.
Totally understand that. However, you can always switch from one rate to another. Why not book the cruise now and switch over to Early Saver when it's available? Is there a benefit to waiting?

Email from Carnival says, "Last Chance, Sale Ends Sunday!"
I said, "Thank goodness! I have been waiting for this sale to end so I can book!" I wonder how many people actually booked during this "sale"?
Kim
I booked during this "sale". I don't see why not. If the prices go down next week, I can always get an adjustment. Is there a benefit for waiting for this sale to end to book? What if the prices do go up? There was a price drop on my next cruise during the sale.

If you use the flexible calendar, you will see that the rate is $129 for September, $119 from October to December, $125 in January - except for a few days. Rates are not available beyond that point.

Just realized that some people go to Walmart to buy a small item to get change back in pesos. The rate is pretty decent for those who don't plan on spending a lot of money in Mexico. Something like 12:1 with no fees vs. 13:1 at the bank with fees.

Thanks Gary, Hank, and Rosefloater. That should take care of a day in Cabo and a day in PV.
I still have one more day in Cabo.

Is there a list of hotels that offer cruise parking on here somewhere? I've seen mentioned of Hotel Maya, Hotel Current, Marriot, and Hilton.

Thanks, Hank. I've been reading a lot of your posts. Very informative. Do you have suggestions for Cabo?

Hello,
I read about taking the city bus in Puerto Vallarta to go to the boardwalk and walk around that area. I like the idea since I don't want to spend too much on the trip, and I don't plan on doing things like ziplining, parasailing, dolphin encountering and things of that sort.
I'm okay spending a couple of hours on the beach, but since we have 2 days in Cabo, what are some inexpensive things to do there? There are 2 of us and we aren't drinkers.
Thank you.

I don't need hotel as I can leave on Saturday morning from San Jose. There isn't a good alternative for parking at the terminal right? I saw the bus option with 3 buses.

Rate is not available for 2-14-14. :( Valentine's

We are going with the Miracle after all. We were going to go with the cheaper option at first, but we decided it wouldn't be too much fun to go to the same place for the fifth time.

Thanks. :)

If the two ships with the same itinerary and the same price, which is a better choice?
Will you pay a little more to go on one versus the other?

Are we looking at the same hotel? http://hotelmayalongbeach.com/ ? From this website, choose the date and it will direct you to hilton website. I went directly to the hilton website and it's still the same price.
It is $119 for every day up until the end of April, except for some blackout dates. March 21 is $119. If you don't see that rate, call the hotel.
