WOW!!!!! What great photos. I am sure you mentioned what cabin you were in many pages ago. But would you mind telling us again. We will be in D628 and wonder how our view will be in early morning. I love the idea of Room Service that morning.:):)

We are doing the Princess excursion through the locks also, P1615A so thanks for the tips on taking some snacks. Will do that also.:) Our excursion reservation does not show a time due to when the ship starts through the Canal (I guess), how and when did you know where to meet, etc. Thanks again.:D:D

You also mentioned open seating in the MDR that night. Was the dress code applicable?:eek:

You said you didn't go to any of the shows, but did you see the entertainment in Crooner's Bar? We are big fans of Ray Coussins and I was wondering if he was on your cruise. We are looking forward to listening to him nightly in April. In fact he is the reason we picked this cruise. We have been through the Panama Canal several times.

Hi there, we have a roll call going for this cruise. Stop by and take a looksee. My husband loves Ray Coussins and will be happy to hear he will be on this cruise. We have not received an emails from Princess at all, so I did not know this. Will keep it a surprise for him.

I am looking at the Embassy Suites for next January. There is a $48 difference between the room rate and the Cruise Ft. Lauderdale rate, which includes shuttle from the airport to the hotel and shuttle for 2 people to the port the next day. Would you just do the cheaper rate and arrange your own transportation (airport to hotel and hotel to port) or do the $48 higher rate with the hotel transportation? Both rates include the other amenities (cooked to order breakfast, etc.).

The taxi from Airport to hotel is about $20 + tip

Shuttle to Port is appx. $8.00pp

Make sure it is a refundable rate.:)

I am not sure, but if you have to call the hotel to let them know you are at the airport and have your luggage, you might have a wait, depending on where the shuttle might be. I would check this out. We waited one time for 45 minutes for a hotel shuttle (not E/S).

Believe it or not, while sailing in the Carib, our tour operator knew before we did of the change in port.:eek:

If you decide on a Princess transfer instead of the train, it is simple to arrange.

You can either call Princess or set it up in your online account. You would return to the airport and the Princess representative would meet you at the designated spot.

Yes, it was the second dinner night and the rest of the dinners did not disappoint us either. I can only think of one or two things we got served, that we did not care for as we both shared a bite of everything brought to the table. Most nights we ordered different things from the menu, just so we could both try them without having to order the full dish.

Must get a pen and write down all the things I would order. This is your second night dinner, correct?:) I am assuming the menu won't change too much by April. It is easy as we start our Cruise on the 5th also.

Hi, I know this thread" is old, but figured I would try here before starting a new one.

We will be flying into Berlin 2 days early for our Princess Cruise out of Warnemünde. On our full day in Berlin, we would like to do a Tour - no walking please, hubby has limited mobility - which would include the Holocaust Museum, etc. Please any recommendations on who to use would be appreciated. I am looking at Hotel Berlin for our stay, so we would want to be picked up in that general area. The length of the tour could be as little as 4 hours or as many as 6-8 hours.

Hotel Berlin seems like it would be good, but any thoughts would be appreciated on this hotel.

Then we would need to get to Warnemünde on our sail day. Would the train be best and is it nearby the Hotel Berlin? Could anyone tell me where to get the schedule. I would "assume" it is about 3-4 hours, so would like to arrive in plenty of time before the ship sails. It sails on a Friday.

Does anyone know if it is possible to take the Princess Transfer from the airport. That would entail going back to the Airport and just wondering if anyone has done this and how you set it up.
