I am on board the Regal Princess and have been since Monday. The Internet works great. That is however, with minor exceptions. The Wi-Fi does drop off occasionally. When it works, it works great. It works 99% of the time. The messaging system for iMessages, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp and one other works fine.

Likewise thanks but be sure to separate the Internet question from the ***** question. Great confusion has been caused elsewhere by posters conflating the two separate items. Thanks again. I trust someone with do the same with the Caribbean Princess on August 4

I will do that. Thanks for reminding me. I will do a write up about the Internet and write up about tthe ***** and keep them separate.

I will be boarding the Regal on Monday in an ***** cabin. I will report on the Internet among other things to do with *****.

Is Princess mailing the Medallions to homes for cruises this August on Regal?
-
No, not when we were on in November for the first and second cruises with Medallion. This could have changed since but this was the panel from our Medallion cabin in November:
And this is the panel outside a non-Medallion cabin on Regal in January - doesn't look the same unless anyone else knows better!
Do the ***** cabins have any kind of a mail box still?
-
But they have only added the ***** door access panels to these 110 cabins so it's not really working throughout the ship.
Do all of the cabins have the access panels even if they’re covered up on Regal? We were on Caribbean Princess right after its wiring for ***** and it had covered access panels at the cabins. I’m wondering if they just uncover these that are on the Regal if they would be able to access them with the medallion.

Let us know how it goes!:o
Will do. August 6.

This is a fuzzy area. The person I talked to thought they were going to phase it in in steps, IE if everything worked for the first group, they would add more in the next phase. Not sure this was actually presented to him or his input. I was only going by what he said in this case and I did not ask any qualifying questions.
Thanks. We have ***** for our upcoming Regal, we had a guarantee cabin and were assigned to it just after final payment. We are the only cabin in our group of six cabins with it. I hope more get into the program by this potential phase stuff.

I read the Rabbits report and have one question on the Regal, you mentioned that there might be five phases. Are they planning to start adding cabins right away to this ocean medallion?
Thank you for the updates.

Of all the potential features this program has advertised, the one I would most like to have is being able to locate members of my party with their permission. I thought for a long time that ships should have a way for this to happen. They could have kiosks throughout the ship where a person could simply scan their card as they go into a place or by a place on the ship. Other members with permission, could simply look up the last place that their party member had scanned their card. The parties would have to opt in to this.

Unfortunately not for the mini suite we stayed in. I tried to leave the door ajar with the light on but was unsuccessful. Be careful of the tall step.
Thank you.

Does Regal have a night light in the bathroom that is always on?

Any update on Regal Princess since the last post in May?

Which ship and cabin? I was in a cabin where it said that and when we got to the cabin, they were together. We couldn't see the tv when they were together but they were.

This cruise might be too quick even with a passport. I think you need to get custody cleared up so that's all set for her future. Once her custody to cleared legally, you'll know what is required to take her out of the country. Best wishes.

I was part of a quilting group two years ago. Our group repaired at least two items that passengers brought us after seeing us using our sewing machines on the Oosterdam. I was telling this to our steward and he mentioned that they could have given them to their steward for repair. They were simple repairs.

Our beds were stuck on opposite walls, also. It would be $500 extra for a cabin with a king bed. This was the second week of our honeymoon and we slept in the beds, not the floor.

I wonder how Disney handles the pool area when the pool is closed. Is there a fence around it or a net over the pool? I personally saved a small child at a Disney hotel pool in 1998 when the lifeguard didn't notice her in peril. After I lifted her out of the water, the lifeguard noticed and blew his whistle and jumped into action. It was a very small kiddie pool. I also saved my own nephew in my own pool because I was there watching. I was the adult in charge of the pool, his parents were at their own home.

It doesn't matter which answer they give you on the phone, it's what they say at the port. I haven't had to show mine in quite some time. You should be able to take cash out through the poker or slot machines and ask for it at the casino cage, I think. Let us know.

My slowest departure ever was NO. I would not have gotten to the airport in time for that flight.

I just got my email confirmation after about ten days.
-
For those that didn't get a response confirmation recently did you include an email address on the fax
No.

I faxed mine two weeks ago for July and have heard squat.

Did you ever inquire with RCCL if they would give you a sailing credit for your 1983 Azure Seas Cruise?
If I could receive credit for my 1982 sailing, it would put me at diamond level!
Sorry for the delay in my reply. I just now saw the question.
I'm taking an RCCL this December. I had to combine two accounts with them since some were in my maiden name. They had this and a second cruise I took on this ship in my maiden name account. They automatically gave me credit for those two cruises so I now have six cruises with RCCL.
Give them a call and see if they have them for you to make Diamond.
Status of Ocean Medallion?
in Princess Cruises

I am on board the Regal Princess and we are in an Ocean Medallion cabin.
Ocean Medallion works relatively fine. It opens the door most of the time but not 100% of the time. My husband had to have his medallion replaced and it gave us trouble the first time after that. The normal cruise card works every time. Sometimes when trying to open the door, I have to wiggle the handle a few times before it clicks into place. A picture of the door handle moving appears on the screen when it is ready to work.
This was an extremely fast check in. We were on the ship before noon. When we arrived at the porch around 11:40, we were advised that we could go to the medallion pick up line or the priority line since we are platinum. We were standing right next to the medallion pick up line so we chose that. It was very fast and efficient.
I was handed a lanyard along with my cruise card in a plastic pouch and my medallion in a plastic case. Both of those were hooked onto the lanyard.
We were invited to a meeting the first afternoon to discuss the Ocean Medallion. I don’t believe I personally learned anything new there.
There is a desk on deck six that is dedicated to fixing issues with this and selling accessories. We brought my husband’s Medallion to them and they seemed to be quite efficient and brought him his new one today. We will check it again in the morning to see if it works.
