I see a lot of really fussy people in this thread. Very amusing. If what someone else wears really interferes with your enjoyment of your cruise, you really need to rethink your priorities.
I agree, these threads are always amusing. Some people worry way too much about what YOU do on YOUR vacation.
I personally would not wear shorts, probably nice jeans with a button down shirt and dress shoes, but I could care less if someone has shorts on at dinner.

Compact circular shower with curved glass door.

A couple of years ago we had 8680 and 8682 and thought they were very good. They are connecting so we left the doors open most of the time and had the steward open the balcony divider. The cabins are D1's so we liked the size and with the divider open the balcony was a nice size. We even had the steward get a lounge chair for my mother in law and still had plenty of space.

Well i don't like that. I always looked forward to the taco bar in the afternoon. We usually come in from ports and relax in the Windjammer for snacks. I hope this change isn't fleet wide.

Thanks. Don't really care about tv's and some of the other updates just don't want to see torn carpet and worn out furniture. If we book we will get a suite so i would hope those are getting attention where needed.

Considering booking Southern cruise in Nov or Dec to celibrate 30th anniversary on Explorer. I am a little concerned though about the condition of Explorer and need some first hand input. I have seen recent reviews that say the ship looks good but yesterday a year old thread was bumped that talked about how the ship badly needed refurbished, and this was a year ago. I want this to be a special vacation and don't want to feel like we are at a second rate resort.
What do you think?

That is great news. I just love these threads and all the judging that goes on. I think RCCL has moved on and left some of the cruisers in the past.
