They should either enforce formality or drop the pretence.
They will never enforce formality because they care much more about revenue than what you wear. I am one that would not be sailing if they enforced their formal night suggestion.
RC would make people much happier I believe if they would create a list of what is not allowed, like baseball caps and basketball shorts. Then everyone can dress however they are comfortable. I have no problem if people want to dress to the nines, just don't get upset if I don't have a jacket and tie on.

They are selling hand made pepper grinders at the craft market now, be sure to stop by and get yours
:D That is fabulous news

We have a suite that sleeps 8 on our upcoming Allure cruise so surely we should be allowed to bring more than 2 bottles on board.:D Just kidding.
Seriously, why don't they just make it 1 bottle per adult passenger? That would be very easy to track and there no confusion or worry about who is in a cabin with someone else.

Royal Prefers 5 persons in these rooms
But if said cruise is filling slowly they will let a less then five persons in these rooms.
I've seen videos on YouTube that show 3 people in the family Staterooms
This is what happened to us. We are a family of 3 that originally booked a GS on the Allure Halloween cruise. About 40 days out from our sailing RC released a Royal Family Suite online and I upgraded that day. That is why I check the prices and availability daily, or I did at least. Same thing happened on our Mariner cruise years ago but before I booked. I looked at the cruise and about a month before sailing they released the OV family stateroom and I booked it.
Best to call if you want one from the beginning.

There are interior, oceanview, and balcony family staterooms. As well as the already mentioned Royal Family Suites. We had an oceanview family room on Mariner years ago and it was great. You can google oasis of the seas family stateroom and there are several youtube videos of the different kinds. Like cb said call them and see what they have.

While not as luxurious, you could consider a Royal Family Suite. They have 2 BRs, 2 baths, a large balcony and are sky class. There are several videos on youtube. We have one booked on Allure in a couple of weeks with our adult daughter. Also, they are not on deck 17.

Check this thread from yesterday on the Grand Loft Suite

Do you have any idea where the food poisoning came from? We will be on Allure Oct 30th and I hadn't really thought of packing medicine as we have never had any issues, but I will do that now. Hope being sick didn't ruin too much of your vacation.
I like your idea of double feature movies and perhaps even show some old drive-in movies. Have a 50s sci-fi movie, you know like with slime or giant ants, followed with the Pink Panther.

The 5:00 nhc update actually has the storm going further west now. Everyone be smart and safe.

Well I sadly think it will be a W in the GA column and so far it's still scheduled for 7:30 at Williams Brice Stadium. However USC has cancelled all classes for the rest of the week beginning today...:confused:
Heard on the radio about an hour ago that the call is up to USCe and would come later this afternoon. Most likely scenario is the Ga dome if they move up the GA State game. It would be too much of a scramble to do it in Athens.

Now if you wore one of those scrubbers to the MDR on formal night you would get a totally different reaction here. :D

Hurricane watch in Florida has now become a hurricane warning. The watch now extends north to Daytona. This may get ugly. Everyone stay safe.
-
I am kind of surprised at some of the posts I have seen on the various threads about this hurricane, and some of those are from people that live in Florida. Just because the storm will not be over Florida on Saturday or Sunday does not mean that your cruise will be fine. There will be trees and power lines down. Who knows if the airport or port will have power and be open. And then you don't know if the hotels will be open either. There will probably be evacuations, so will the workers be able to get back in time to deal with the cruises. This will be a dangerous storm and not just an afternoon shower. Some of the models are now even suggesting the hurricane may move further west and make landfall in Florida. I hope everything goes well for all the people affected, but it is unpredictable. People should plan for the worst and hope for the best.

We are not planning to do the party on our Oct 30 Allure cruise, but can you give more information? What were you expecting and what did you get instead?

I posted this question a few months ago and didn't get an answer.

Is this official or just speculation? Your source is the Facebook T/A group.
Looks like you figured this out back in June, good detective work. There was a thread a few days ago and the OP said it was announced on the president's cruise this week on Allure. So i guess it is not speculation.

You can hang out in the SL all day and just read a book if you want. You don't need a drink package. You can get water and soft drinks there from 11 am to 11 pm. If you want wine or beer you can also get that all day. Cocktails are during the cocktail hours.

Does anyone know if they have these on Allure? We are sailing at the end of Oct and our nephew is in the 82nd Airborne at Ft. Bragg and currently in Special Forces training. I would LOVE to attend one of these get togethers to show my support.
Thanks to all of you for your service!

We are on the Harmony. I agree this is way cool. I'll wave.
LOL I will wave back. This explains why we are doing a Western cruise but stopping at Nassau on the last day. I always thought it was odd that we were not going to Labadee.

We will be on Allure that week. This is way cool. Please post any more details if you hear more.

Chops was a good value at $25, but not at $42. We can eat at Ruth's Chris for $42 a person, which we do often. I will save my money and eat at the included venues.

This entire thread has the feel of a fishing expedition.
I agree on this. The OP posted some rather strange and irrational comments on their roll call thread earlier today. This thread should die, the OP is not looking for any information in my opinion, probably just trolling and they caught a few.

Let me relay what happened to us. We booked a GS on Allure for 3, me, wife, and adult daughter for the end of Oct. I had been checking the suites on our cruise almost every day just to see if something new popped up or the price changed. About 2 weeks ago, so at about 60 days from departure, a Royal Family Suite appeared, I suppose RC released it for less than 4 or 5 people. It was actually about $600 less than our GS. I called my TA and she called RC to see what the cost would be for us to switch to the RFS. RC would not give me the lower price since the sale was for new bookings only, but they would let me have it for no extra cost. I jumped on it cause the 2BRs and 2 baths are perfect for us.
You should be fine in the GS, but my advice would be to keep checking to see what is available on your cruise. You may get lucky like us.

I have to say, this might be the least confrontational tipping thread of all time, lol. Please, original poster guy, just go read alllllll the other tipping threads that have ever existed on here, and let's let this one die before it goes downhill.
Yes this is a very calm thread.
To the OP, as others have said, leave the tips in place and enjoy your cruise.

And don't forget your 2 bottles of wine to drink on the balcony!
Coastal Kitchen & Suites Lounge on Allure
in Royal Caribbean International

My family is in a suite on the same cruise Sunday. I don't really have a problem with guests in the Suite Lounge as long as it does not infringe on what I paid for, like you said. If we arrive in the SL and there is no place to sit because half the people there are guest of people in a suite, then I have a problem. I can see this would be hard for RC to police unless they ask to see sea pass cards for everyone entering, and I doubt that any employee would want to challenge a guest.
