didn't see it any more reduced up there than previous cruises...there were a number of Pins that opted to stay in suites this time too
Thanks for doing your review and for taking the time to answer questions this week and last. Any info is greatly appreciated right now.

Glad to hear the SL and CK were fairly normal. So with suites being almost full were they able to do any kind of social distancing, or did the lack of Pins and JS cruisers at dinner reduce the numbers enough?

I will be excited to read about your CK/SL experience as we are staying in a 2br GS.
So are we, LOL.

Enjoy reading your perspective. You may be getting to this but can you comment on everything suite related like CK and SL. I have read others say that suites are basically at capacity so there is crowding in suite specific areas. Thanks for taking the time to give your review.

I just saw on a roll call thread someone said they were told Royal Up was not available to Costco Travel bookings. If this is true does anyone know if AAA bookings are treated the same? I hope not.

On Allure now and the beer and wine are available from 11-11.
Thanks for the info. Funny, but I have seen several others posting about this on other threads. Not sure what that says about us. 🤔

Well the one other thread that is hot will probably be shut down soon. It has devolved into people calling each other trumpy and idiots, LOL. too bad people can’t discuss cruising without going there.

I am hoping to be able to bid for our Allure cruise at the end of October, but still can’t. I guess I need to be patient but reading all these posts is exciting. Congrats to all and enjoy the upgrades.

I am curious what this means for the on ship protocols like masking and vaccinated only lounges and if there will be changes coming. This just seems kind of pointless now. I know RC still has to account for unvaccinated kids but all lounges and some venues should now be vaccinated which would be most adults.

Very interesting comments and my family has the same concerns as what you actually experienced. I was hoping things would lighten up by the last week of October but I am not really hopeful. Thanks for the insight.

Checkin is totally different than pre-plague era.
no suite line - everyone goes through the same process.
that said for all the document checks and their process it went really well… for only 1700-ish guests! Thanks for this, enjoy the suite and the cruise. Curious if you were able to check in early if you had a 1:00 time and how that worked? Also like a couple of others have asked, what are the hours now for the freebies in the SL?

It worked for the crystal block debacle.
So, limited beers and cheap wine over expanded hours is a deal breaker.🤔
Wife like cheap wine and doesn’t like paying for a suite when she doesn’t get it😂.
Now what did I miss a bout expanded hours?

This is unacceptable. The cost of suites on Oasis class are expensive.
I hope every suite guest gives a poor rating about this 11-11 fiasco.
So.... Can I pay for a drink?
So ... is the bartender there to get drinks for people eating?
If I can pay for a drink in the SL, they can hand me one for free if in a suite.
Will someone clarify this for me?
Can I pay for a drink, but not get one for free unless eating in the SL?
Thanks
I am interested to hear more about this also. This might be a bigger deal breaker for me than getting a covid test. This is one suite benefit I am not willing to give up.

Sorry to hear this, hope you have a fast uneventful recovery.
We are on Allure in a 2 BR GS the last week of October and you are living our biggest fear, but I agree the procedures RC has are probably the best thing for now.- 2

This is all too confusing. If RC wants a test they should just do it.

From the RC vaccination FAQ
Accepted Tests

There are two common types of diagnostic COVID-19 tests and we accept either type:
- A molecular test, also called a PCR test or NAAT test
- An antigen test, also called a rapid antigen test
- The Abbot ID NOW Rapid Diagnostic test administered by many pharmacies is an acceptable molecular test (but not the Abbot BinaxNow home test, see below for details).

Falmouth has been dropped thru October for Allure. I don’t know about any other ships.

Did not get an e-mail (yet), so I check our cruise planner and the calendar shows the change, ie. Cozumel and Costa Maya instead of Labadee and Falmouth. The home page in my "Upcoming Cruises" still shows the original itinerary.
I just checked the cruise planner too and for Oct 24th now shows Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Coco Cay. It doesn’t show Nassau. Oh well, no difference to us.

Just received notification from. RCL that our October 10 Allure cruise will not be doing port stops at either Labadee or Falmouth, but will be substituting Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Nassau instead. Coco Cay stop is still on the itinerary.
Interesting news. We are on the next Western on Allure October 24th, but haven’t heard anything about our itinerary, although I am expected a change. We were not planning to get off the ship in Nassau or Falmouth and will probably not get off in Costa Maya if we change to the same ports. Kind of disappointed about Labadee though, one reason I booked this was cause it went to both private ports, Labadee and Coco Cay.

I wore cargo shorts on the 2nd formal night (I know, the horror)
No one batted an eye
I wore shorts on both formal nights on my last cruise, same response. Wear whatever you want.

I would say now is not the time for anyone unvaccinated to get on a cruise ship, just not worth the risk. Maybe wait until next year and in the meantime get the shots!

Onboarding was so easy, the ship still seems SO empty its amazing! Any questions?
Great I was worried no one was on this week, thanks for posting. Everyone have a great trip.
If anyone is in a suite I would love to hear how the suite lounge and coastal kitchen are. Also the general condition of the rooms and the furniture.
we are on in October and can’t wait!

I think if people and RC want to allow Pins in the SL then they need to get some of the suite people out of the SL. Maybe it is time for RC to get with the industry and give those of us that book suites the drink package or load drinks onto our account like they are now doing for Pins. That would keep us mostly out of the SL and we might go on more cruises.
We have never had an issue with over crowding in the SL but I have read many comments where people have had problems. I don’t have an issue with Pins in the SL but I don’t want to pay extra for a perk I can’t use.
