  1. Hello, trying to search for these answers but can find it.

We have basic wifi (which was included when we booked ) and due to having to work while on the trip ( as little as we possibly can, LOL) we must upgrade to premium. I see they are on black friday sales for our cruise. My question relates to the one device ( with sale is only $2.99 per day) or 2 device ( with sale is $12.99 per day) and how the 2 device counts. I also think its weird that the price difference between the two sales is so great....

So if I get one device plan/upgrade and I need to use my phone or laptop, then log out, can I log back into the opposite? Or if I want to use my phone then log out can my husband then log in on his phone?  Can it be any ONE device or is it specific to a CERTAIN one device?

And if it is a certain ONE device and we want to both use our phone AND our laptop, does that mean we BOTH have to purchase the TWO device plan ? Meaning we woudl basically have 4 devices registered?

    I'm just a bit confused.

I hope this question makes sense, any help is appreciated.

I rebooked our Jan 2024 Ascent cruise & saved about $100 (appeared to be more...but my original booking included gratuities...still saved a bit!)

I also had drink package, wifi & shore excursions drop in price this week so cancelled & rebooked at the cheaper price.

I am looking for the Black Friday Deals on Wifi and so forth, for a trip I already have booked )( leaving on this next Saturday) but where do I find them? If I click on the Black Friday Deals, it only lists actual  future trips, not any of the extras or  ammenities on sale? TY if you can help?

My parents are not that kind of persons.

If after 70 cruises this is the first one they didn't like so much... that's their opinion and their personal experience. They loved the crew and the staff.

But, for the first time in their history of cruising on various companies and around the world, some things happened that were not to their liking.😕

All the messages they received at the cabin were in English, the menus everywhere too, the program too. It had never happened to them. Even after asking in Spanish, they only received it in Spanish once, then everything went back to the same. Imagine that you sail aboard a ship where everyone speak one language that you don't understand.Even though, having contacted Celebrity, they said before the cruise that, "of course there would be things translated as the ship would have many Spanish passengers on board and was sailing in Spain." Did not happen.🙄

Regarding the ship, it is a personal opinion of course: they are used to ships with lots of color and vibrant and cheerful decorations, this one was more sober. Probably the taste of the major part of the passengers, not their taste.

They also missed activities such as dance classes, for example. They are 70 years old but very young for their age and enjoy fun activities.😄

Also regarding shows, it has to do with their taste, again: they like shows where something more happens than just someone singing and/or playing a musical instrument for 1 hour.

But once again it's their opinion. It would also be mine because I also appreciate another type of experience. In the same way that I understand those who don't like mega ships or ships this or that.

This isn't being Negative Nancy, it's having an opinion, that can be opposite to yours, based on things that happened, I don't think I offended anyone when I shared it. They had no idea what to expect because i booked the cruise for them...but probably the passengers that chose the cruise on purpose will love it!You will enjoy it for sure! 😊

I wasn't even addressing you, I was thanking the original poster for a nice review, and glad they had a good time, on the ship I am going on this week. I was happy to read it.  I do read alot of bad reviews on many of the ships I have been on and always worried before I went, then we got there and realized everyone has different opinions on things, many which did not match my opinion.  That is all.

  4. What a GREAT positive review! We are on the Infinity in a few weeks and reading such horrible things about it. Then I remeind myself that there are so many negative nancy's on CC. I remember before each cruise I read about each ship to bad reviews and we always had a great time and proved them all wrong! Its just nice to see others enjoying themselves! Thanks for sharing!

  5. They did this on a popular movie " A Christmas Story" one year so I actually know several friends and fans that do the same. You could probaly do the Asian Option in the Buffet or book a specialty at Sushi on 5, they DO offer other Asian dishes besides sushi. If you ask to have it special in the MDR , maybe even suggest to the Maitre D that something FROM the buffet would be fine, and even a "family style" served in larger dishes ( so they don't have to plate it all separately) would be fine as well,  you would just prefer to sit in the MDR and be waited on, since it's a special Holiday. just some ideas. Good Luck to you and enjoy your cruise!

We will actually be in La Palma, not Gran Canaria. I was looking at the wrong island all day yesterday. Trying to do too much in one day. We are going to La Palma, Grand Canary, not Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Whoops! I am going to hire a private taxi/tour for La Palma to see the north side of the island.

Well.... Thats confusing! Now I have to double check mine! Whats the difference?

  7. Hello, we will be in Gran Canaria on Celebrity on a Sat in December form 7 AM-6PM. Doing several tours on other days and think we would like to take a beach day on this Island. How close to cruise port is the city? What is the closest beach that has beauty, eating, shopping and chairs to rent, to cruise port? Or would you recommend a resort that has day passes? Not sure if Puerto De Mogan ( Little Venice) which looks cool too, is close to cruise port or not, either. Any suggestions on something relaxing and low key to do here are appreciated.

  8. Finally cruising after way to long, and  can't find the price difference to upgrade from the classic ( included in our booking) drink package to the premium? We always use to upgrade, but I can't recall the price. We love the martini bar, better bourbons and nicer wines so upgrading is a no brainer. But why can't I find the cost anywhere? We will be on a 10 day through Spain  & Morocco if that makes a difference? TIA for any answers.

  9. So you can get 4 bottles of wine for $88 ( The Enthusiast list) or $98 (The Afficionado) and 20% grat. Is there still a delivery charge as well? Trying to figure out if my $15 bottles of wine plus a $15 corkage fee is even worth carrying on. I didn't know you could get it like this, I thought it was only the wine on the wine list in the restaurants/bars with that wine price included.

  10. When you say the REAL Blue Hole do you mean the Island Gully Falls Blue Hole?

Looks like on the website it is only $65.00 for both stops with transporation. Thats a deal! It doesn't specify extra costs for lunch stops? Do you remember? I know the food would be separate just wondering what they charge by the hour or whatever?

  11. Shuttle for $20 per person? Or is that a cab ride one way for 4 people? We also want to do Blue Hole on our own. IOn their website it says $20 entry. Anyone know if this is correct? And do they take american dollars? Or credit cards? TY

  12. So who actually records it and marks it on your account? When you go through screening with your carry on they aren't going to ask which cabin you are in are they? Is it the room stewart?  I would dare to venture some get missed?

My DH and I have been on the Breakaway.

As I recall, Spice H2O has limited shade. The loungers are typical of what you would find on the pool deck. The padded loungers are located in Vibe.

There a smoking section on SpiceH2O located on one side of the bar.  At times, the smoke wafts out into the seating area on the port side.

I noticed that you have taken severalCelebrity cruises, some on M class ships that offer the adult only enclosed  Solariums with the soothing pool. I would be interested to see how you compare the area on Celebrity ships and what is offered on the Breakaway. We have experienced Spice H2O and the Solarium on the Summit. We prefer the Summit area. YMMV

    Bon voyage !

Our favorite cruise line is Celebrity, but the only ship they had at this time when we booked was their new ship the Edge and they wanted $1,000.00 more PER PERSON than this NCL cruise, so we decided to try a new line. From what I am reading the entertainment looks better, the food will be comparable and the service might not be as good. So if we go in with those expectations hopefully we will only be pleasently surprised. Either way I know we will have a great vacation, because it is what you make of it. I'm excited to try a new line!

  14. Hello New NCL cruiser here. Breakaway in April. Giving each question its own thread,

I read somewhere there was a kids pool and an adult pool but looking at the deck plans it doesn't say which is which. I know there is a toddler pool with the kiddie things in it but is there really an adult pool and kids pool out of the other two? I'm seeing just two ( besides the Haven one) is that right? TIA

  15. Hello New NCL cruiser here. Breakaway in April. Giving each question its own thread,

Can someone explain to me the difference between Vibe Beach Club and Spice H2O? Are they both an adult only outdoor deck? I understand Vibe you pay extra to use and  I can't figure out the answer if you do for Spice H2O. They both serve the same drinks? Same kind of decks? One of them has water elements but I'm getting confused as to which one. We have a large group so don't plan on getting extra pay options for a sundeck since all can't and we want to stick together. But if anyone has insight to these that want to share to make it easier for me to understand that would be great. TIA.

  16. Hello all, I am sure this has been asked before but I did search it and did not find it.

Do the divider doors on the Equinox Balcony open? We are on deck 12 ( 2103 & 2105) if that makes a difference.

Also if you have stayed in these cabins before and know if the balconies are bigger because of the slant or any differences in these rooms I'd gladly take that info as well.

Thank you in advance for any kind answers.
