  1. 👋Hello stargazer618! Thanks so much for reading my review and for your sweet compliments.🤗 We really had a fantastic time.. you are in for a genuine treat when you sail on the Pursuit. The Pursuit and the Onward (as well as the Quest and the Journey) are all just about the same ships.. the cabins, the public spaces, the dining areas, the pool deck, etc. All 4 ships started life as part of Renaissance Cruises and when they went out of business Azamara bought the Quest and the Journey. Then later the Pursuit and now the Onward. They were all redone to be identical. There are small differences between the four ships but very minor so "what you see" in my review is "what you will get" on your upcoming cruise on the Pursuit.👌 Enjoy it all!! Thanks again!
  2. That's a great question.. I think that you had to have cruised on Azamara at least once before February of this year to still have your Celebrity status matched. I would double check on that though. I googled it and here is some info about it. https://thepointsguy.com/news/azamara-celebrity-royal-caribbean-cruise-loyalty-reciprocity/
  3. 🙋‍♀️Well hello to my old pal FetaCheese from the Viking Board too! Thank you so much for your sweet compliments.. it truly means a lot. Wow.. you really sailed on Azamara in it's infancy.. I think it just began in 2008. It's funny that you mentioned it as a spin off of Celebrity. Our "Discoverer" status with Azamara is because of the cruises we had taken with Celebrity. It was (and still is) a nice perk.😊 I hope you will write a review of your O voyage.. I would love to see what cruising with them is like. Thanks again for taking the time to read and post back on this thread. Enjoy your future cruise!!!🤗
  4. 🤗Oh they are just wonderful! A different experience than an ocean cruise but equally fantastic! We have been on the Rhine, the Danube and the Seine and just a few weeks ago a Tulip Time cruise from Amsterdam to Brussels. They are so relaxing as there are only around 100 people on the ship. I wrote a blog similar to this Azamara one on the River Cruise boards about our Tulip Time cruise. 📝
  5. Wow! Those numbers are travel goals for me for sure. The staff (I do feel that way about all the Azamara ships though) was just so genuinely warm and sweet. Really like family. I know why you love the ship so much. Enjoy your next 23 nights! Coming up soon!!
  6. 🙋‍♀️Hi again! No.. no ocean cruises in our future yet. We are booked on an Eastern European river cruise this fall that sails from Budapest to Bucharest. I'm super excited about that. It's an area of Europe I have always wanted to visit. Hope to get back to ocean in the spring of 2024.🤞
  7. 👋Oh hello and thanks so much kent4489! I'm so glad that you enjoyed my review and even nicer that it happens to be about your favorite ship! That is awesome that by the end of the year you will have been on board for about 20% of 2023! I think my math correct there?🗓️ Anyways.. enjoy every moment! Thanks again.🤗
  8. 👋Hello again takemewithyou! First of all I love your screen name.. so clever. I'm so glad that my "everything is gonna be all right" attitude came through loud and clear. For sure there were.. and still are.. a lot of issues and frustration with their IT situation but for some reason their ships are up and running as if none of it ever happened and that bodes well for you! I'm sure your cruise will be a delight without any snafus besides where to eat lunch that day.😃
  9. Ooo! I love to hear that!!!😍 I'm thrilled that I might be the catalyst for something so fun.🤗
  10. 😊Well aren't you a sweetheart my fellow Long Islander MikeyB! Blushing here with all your lovely compliments. Thank you and thank you again.🙋‍♀️ I truly loved sharing the journey as it was truly a spectacular week. A European cruise is my "most favorite" vacation and I am in heaven just being on one. Thank you again.. I'm truly touched.🤗
  11. 👋Hi Donna! I'm so glad that I was able to answer a few questions for you. Don't fret if you have an upcoming cruise coming soon.. everything was in order when we got on board. The way I knew our luggage was on the plane was on the Delta app. You click the lines on the bottom right of the app and this menu comes up. The second line is "Track my bags." It shows real time info RE whether your bags have been loaded onto the plane or not. Good luck!😊
  12. 👋Hello Ithikan! Oh you're so welcome.. writing the review was so fun for me. Thank you for your compliments. I am honored that the "shrimp-travaganza" pix pushed your hubs over the edge of considering a future Med cruise. Yay!🤗 It's funny you mention that long chair in the deck picture.. I noticed it too. I had never seen anything like that on the other 3 Azamara ships. I guess it was a leftover from it's former owners days.😊
  13. 👋Hello Work in to Cruise 2023! Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and for your sweet compliments about it. Oh my.. how exciting that you will be bringing your granddaughter along with you for her first cruise! Truly a time to treasure.. lucky you.. lucky her! November will be here before you know it. Enjoy Enjoy Enjoy!!!🤗
  14. 👋Hi Azulann!! Thanks so much for your sweet compliments about my review and of course I remember you from the Viking board.😍 There are some differences but many similarities between the two lines and we really love them both. Thank you for sharing the smiles with me.🤗
  15. 🇮🇹Buongiorno everyone! We returned Saturday from a wonderful 7 day Azamara "Italy Intensive" cruise from Monte Carlo to Rome. I just finished my blow by blow review of last weeks fun and frolic.. if anyone is interested here is the link.🤗
  16. And here we are.. landed and laughing and exhausted yet still smiling ear to ear. It was a perfect week filled with all delightful things.. glorious weather.. mostly smooth seas.. beautiful ports.. lovely accommodations.. relaxing tours... sweet new friends.. outstanding food and drinks.. fantastic service and of course the BEST company! ❤️ Thank you for coming along with me and for sharing a week's worth of wonderful waves.🌊 Wishing everyone "Calm seas and prosperous voyages." Goodbye for now.🤗
  17. I remembered to wear an extra sweater for the exit row freeze!🥶 That's the price you pay for lots of leg room. Almost there.. 2 hours to go.
  18. Lunch on board.. vegetable lasagna. There has definitely been a post COVID change in the meals that airlines serve. Here is a picture of a lunch from a Delta flight to Venice way back in 2015. Remember when coach meals included a little salad and a roll and cheese and crackers?
  19. If you didn't have time to shop on your vacation and missed buying something there is a full on shopping mall in Terminal 3. Just about all of the designer shops are represented there. They already discount the merchandise 22%.. you don't pay and then reclaim the VAT. I'm not sure if the prices are the same as in the non airport stores though. 🙋‍♀️I will research and develop that for next time.🛍️
  20. Then at around 11am the kitchen started making brick oven pizza and fresh pasta and it was delicious!!
  21. Next was the ITA lounge which we had entry to because of our status with Delta. You get one guest too.
  22. Since our flight wasn't until 12:50pm and we got to the airport a little past 9am there was plenty of time for lounge hopping in Terminal 3. First up.. the "Plaza Premium" Lounge which is an American Express lounge too. Plenty of choices.. a bit too early to eat though.
