🤗Big hugs to you bubbulz on having a few very rough years. You have really gone thru a lot and yet still have a positive can-do attitude. You should really pat yourself on the back for that... truly.🥰 I wish you a fantastic cruise full of smiles!🌷 As far as hotels.. I agree that the Doubletree in Amsterdam is a good choice. It's very convenient to the ships and if you didn't purchase transfers it's right next to the Central Station so you can easily take a train from the airport to the hotel with a minimum of walking. We have stayed there on a land trip in the past and were very happy with it. Enjoy it all!!

👋Hi Daisi! I was going to take pix of the bar menu but there were too many small pages. There was A LOT that was included in the complementary happy hour. On each table in the Panorama lounge there is a cocktail menu book. If there is a little "HH" next to the drink then the drink is included for Happy Hour. Off the top of my head all "tall drinks" were included and specialty drinks like an Aperol spritz which I did have one night instead of my usual wine or sparkling wine. As far as different scotches.. we don't drink scotch so I didn't look. I'm sorry about that.. But as I said there was a lot to order from with the HH designation. Cheers to hoping they have a great selection of scotches for you!🍹

So I think that if on our day one the tulips were in bloom there would have been an afternoon excursion to Keukenhof on embarkation day as we sailed from Amsterdam later that afternoon and didn't stay the next day. Since Keukenhof wasn't open yet these two optional excursion were offered that first afternoon. I actually had taken pictures of the flyers but didn't post them on my original blog since we didn't take either of them. Or maybe Keukenhof will be offered on day two since our next port was Nijmegan and I just looked and it's possible to do a day trip there.. it's about 1hour and 45 minutes by bus. Or maybe the cruises that end in Amsterdam instead of beginning there spend a full day at the end of the cruise and the excursions to Keukenhof are that day. 🌷I can totally understand you wanting to go to Keukenhof.. booking in April is a great idea. Not only should the tulips be in bloom but the weather might be sunnier later in the spring as well? We really loved the cruise and I'm always happy to answer any questions you might have so please feel free to ask away.🤗

👋Hi! Daisi Yes.. the new Whisper sets do have wifi. I'm not sure how they actually worked with wireless earbuds though. We both used the provided wired headphones the whole week. We did use the wifi from the whispers in the cabin for our laptops since it was faster than the ship wifi. My husband who is usually very tech saavy didn't realize that they were a hot spot that could be used off the ship until the last day of the cruise. We heard somebody say they used it that way and that's how we realized that it could. Ah well.. next cruise. I hope it works well for you.😊

We have been to Amsterdam a few times and it is a great city.. so interesting and different. If you want to be sure to see the tulips too then maybe book a cruise in April as that seems to be prime time for viewing as it's in the middle of the season.🌷

A river cruise is definitely different than an ocean but just as wonderful. Each has their overwhelming positives... neither has many (or no) negatives. I hope get to try one soon. We have been on 4 of them and loved each one. Definitely nice to rotate between ocean and river.😊

Yes.. it would have been nice to go but I really felt that it was a very small part of the whole 7 day cruise experience for me so I am fine with it.🌷

Exhausted yet exhilarated we are home. It was stellar week in every way.. Yes.. no tulips and rain pretty much every day but no matter.. we had a bloomingly awesome time! There is nothing like a river cruise for pure relaxation and ease. We are scheduled for an ocean cruise next and and then maybe another river cruise this fall. Thank you all for sharing the smiles with me over this past week.. posting about our experiences really brings back all the fun.🤗 Snip, snap, snout.. this tale is all told out!

Our Delta plane had just arrived from New York and was being cleaned and readied for the flight home.

😲HOLD ON!! Four choices of beer and one of them just happens to be Sam's favorite the always elusive Belle-View Kriek?? What are the odds??? 🤫My carry on bag just got a little bit heavier too..

Meanwhile at BRU.. Hello Diamond Lounge! It wasn't our Delta status or our Amex card that got us in.. it was Priority Pass. I always think that the card is kind of a waste but that morning it was king!👑

Our bus pulled away at 7am for a short 20 minute ride to the airport.. Goodbye Avalon Imagery II.. it's been a marvelous week again.. I shall treasure the memories.. again. Hope we sail again on you soon.😍
