Looks like 3/4 nights out of Los Angeles  for the summer 2021 and 2022  Maybe a return to the Mexican Riviera

Where did you see this? In 2021, the Millennium is doing a Pacific coastal from Vancouver to LA then a California Costal from LA to LA including Ensenada before doing Panama Canal cruises then based in The Caribbean.

I wouldnt read too much into long term cruise programmes. In the last couple of months I have had my Constellation cruise Athens to Singapore cancelled due to Constellation redeployment to Tampa and The Eclipse Melbourne to Hawaii cancelled because she will be in Singapore then Japan and Canada.

Yes things can change but the schedule has been set for Summer 2021 and Winter 2022 with the Caribbean 2022 Schedule due shortly. We don't know what will happen in the future

You have been unfortunate in having two cruises cancelled, one because of a decision to relocate the Constellation, the other because of a delay to the  'Revolution" of the Eclipse

Please provide a link indicating that the Solstice is moving to Asia leaving only the Eclipse down under. It should be noted that some of us were aware that the Eclipse was coming south about 6 months before it was announced. Demand on down under cruises is such that two ships are now required during the summer season. Should the Solstice be redeployed to Asia don't be surprised to see the Edge sent down here. Remember you saw it here first

It is clear from this link that the Edge will be in Europe and the Caribbean. Solstice replaces Millennium in Asia

I am confused by the new pricing when looking at a Transatlantic cruise in 2021. I am presented with 2 pricing options. Lowest Rate and Best Value. The difference being £400 per person. When choosing the Best Value there are no choices to add perks. So the final price seems to be £400 pp more for exactly the same product as the Lowest Rate. Am I missing something here?? The cruise I am pricing is the April 19th 2021 on Reflection. I thought it may be there was an offer of refundable deposit but I cannot see that, and as the difference is more than the deposit surely not.

I am seeing the same. Is it a bug?

We have the classic drink pkg & if we want to up-grade to preimum it would cost $14 a day per person plus %18 grat. per person. We already paid %18 grat. on the classic okg. Wouldnt that make %36 grat.?? Or did I do my math wrong?? We will be on the Equinox.

To upgrade, you will pay 10$ + 20% = 12$ per day. Forget about what you have read about 14$ per day as this only applies to bookings made after Oct 10 and is added to overall cruise price that includes drinks package as a perk.

  6. 2 hours ago, Swampbabe said:

The 18% would apply to the 14. upcharge

This is not correct. The 14$ up charge is only applied if one on the perks selected at time of booking is drinks package and the charge is added to the overall cost of the cruise. It is not subject to 18% up charge. By the way, if you purchase a drinks package the charge added is now 20% not 18.

It would not make sense to pay $59+grats for something you could get for $14.   Well, using X's math it might 😂

You are not getting the drinks package for $14 per day. If you select 2 perks rather than no perks, you will be pay more in any event and if one of the perks is drinks package, the cost of the cruise will increase by $14 per day.

You would need to compare the costs by factoring in the cost of the drinks package if purchased separately.

Thanks.  I did a quick search and didn't see the thread.  I'll look again, wanted to see how everyone felt about this.  I'm really bummed out they are going the Norwegian route.

If you opt for a perk that includes drinks package, the up front cost of the cruise will cost an extra charge which is equivalent to $14 pppd.

The reason for the additional charge for beverage package is shown on the attached link
http://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Celebrity/General_Info/Beverage_Pkg_Perk_Price_Increase-Field-Trade_One_Pager.pdf The offers contained are not available in U.K.

In the U.K. the cost of the drinks package are included in the price of the cruise.

Your perspective is irrelevant.  You made a statement that it didn’t apply to the U.K., that is NOT a fact.

Sorry I am not following your reasoning! What statement did I make that didn’t apply to the U.K.? I believe we are talking about the Additional charge of $14 per day which is being added to bookings in USA and Canada where selecting drinks package as a perk.

Well, I rang them yesterday (0800-240-4259) and was told that it does apply to UK bookings - Confusion ....!!!

So I called them again this morning the reply was "we haven't been told by US Head office yet whether the charge will or will not be applied to UK bookings. She said they are normally aligned but was unable to confirm one way or the other at this time......"

Do they really know what is going on!!!

How can they make an additional charge if they are offering a deal which includes drinks as a package for which there are no options. U.K. website are offering “free” drinks package.

From my perspective, it is a deal which is being offered to USA and Canada cruisers!

So, here we around again....those not taking a drinks package in the UK would pay the increased price too?

    Dangerous strategy.

The current changes do not apply to bookings made in U.K.  In U.K. the current offer includes classic drinks package in the overall cost of the cruise. Celebrity U.K. don’t offer different options whereas in the USA they have option to book with no perks, 2 perks or 4 perks. If one of the perks chosen is drinks package, then $14 per day is added to overall cost of the cruise.

Im sure the $14 is the gratuity....Now mind you this will be a daily charge of $14, not just a one time charge.   If you dont pay it up front, they'll add it to your bill at the end of the cruise.   Nothing is "free".

It is not a gratuity. It is an upfront charge at time of booking if you select beverage package as one of the perks. It will not be applied to your bill at the end of the cruise.

This seems to apply ONLY to this special flyer.

What it says, IMHO, is that they are including two perks in the fare, but if you choose Bev Pkg as one, they will raise the price of the cruise, since Bev Pkg is more expensive than any of the others.

This will be done at booking, NOT embarkation.

I agree with your interpretation. The additional charge will be added to cruise fare

This question goes out to all my UK friends or those that might be in the know.

I am a big Jack Daniels, Jim Beam and Wild Turkey Bourbon guy.

I would like to know what is the best or most popular brands of Gin, Scotch and Irish Whiskey in the UK.

I would greatly appreciate the information.

    Thanx

On a recent distillery tour, we were asked to name our favourite whisky. There was a large variety of responses.  The tour guide responded by saying the best is the one you enjoy the most!

There is so much variety in the styles of whisky You will never get a definitive answer as to what is best. I believe that Jameson’s, Jack Daniels and Johnny Walker are the worlds best selling whiskies.

The best? Only you can decide what you like.

    Hi,

I am just wondering if teabags  are also supplied with the kettle.    And  is it  safe/ok to fill the kettle with water  from the tap  in the bathroom?

    Thanks

A selection of tea bags and coffee sachets are usually provided. Also expect sugar and milk sachets. Water in cabin is drinkable.

You can get additional tea bags from cafe. You can bring your own if you want to be sure that you get a brew that you like.
