Can't wait to see how much our prices will go up with this sale!
Hahahaha!!! You know it!!

I used to be a CCL customer but switched to RC and went on the Oasis in January. The only thing I hated about RC is all the pushy selling. Not just restaurants but every department on the ship that had something to sell sent advertisements or voicemails to our room. I felt as if they were hungry beggers begging for money.

No outlets behind the bed that I could find. The tv does not appear to have any USB, it does have an HDMI input, but I don't think you can change the input in the tv.

I was on the Oasis back in January and had read about the outlet behind the bed. I found it! Our OV balcony room was set up with the bed closest to the balcony. There was a little table next to the bed and then the sofa. I found the outlet under the bed on the wall if you start from the little table looking. (hope this makes sense)

It's about a 9 hour drive for us so we normally book a motel that offers free shuttle to and from the port. Motel normally costs what parking at the port would be. This way we recover from the long drive and are refreshed for the first day of our cruise.

We leave $20 - $50 depending on how service was. Our last Carnival cruise, I left $0.00. Most of the time it's a twenty.

On the Oasis in January my wife and I used the hot tub in the Solarium about midnight. It was open and I think the workers told me it never closes.

I used to cruise Carnival. I have been on ten with them and will never return. We went on the Oasis last January and loved it so much we booked it again for next January. As far as water, I took 1 1/2 cases and they didn't say anything. I think food may be a little better on Carnival but everything else on RC is better. The 24 hour pizza is fine although I see bad reviews about it. All cruiselines schedule the comedians in the small clubs for some reason so those were the only shows we noticed that filled up early.

4:30am and she's leaving.

At 4am the Liberty was/is in Nassau. It's supposed to be on the way back to PC from Princess Cays. Medical stop?

Deck 8, OV balcony, midship.

I didnt say it was rebuilt. It received upgrades to rooms, balcony cabins, new restaurants and bars....does that constitute "simple"?
Yes if compared to something like they did to the Destiny. I guess you've recently been on it.
-
You have been on the Elation? The Elation just came out of drydock with 2.0 Upgrades, so how is it "worn out"?
Yes, I've been on it. It was not rebuilt, just simple upgrades.
-
Elation from Jacksonville is just as bad as Charleston. No other ships to compete with. My brother booked the Elation for a 7 day in an OV and paid the same price I did to sail in a Balcony on the Oasis for the same amount of days. Oasis class with RC or a 20+ year old worn out CCL ship for same price? Shouldn't be a hard decision.

We learned the hard way of getting to Maho Beach. We paid RC about $35 per person to get there. We had to stand in the heat for about 30-45 minutes waiting for transportation. Little did we know we could have just paid $8 each way for a taxi. We actually used a taxi getting back to the ship so it costs us $35 to get there. Plenty of taxis!

I'm new to RC but not new to cruising. I was on the Oasis in January and had a such a great time I booked it for our next cruise. I noticed the WJ tables and chairs need to be trashed but didn't notice any other worn out areas of the ship. In my opinion, Carnival has RC beat as far as "free" food in quality and quantity.

Bob for President 2020
Slogan....... "Make RC Great Again"! lol

Need more information. I don't see that they will be in a same port together. EDIT.... I didn't see them at the same port when I first looked.
I agree with Bob.

Looks like all the ships are missing Nassau today according to the web cam. Weather?
-
I was there in January. We made the mistake of paying RC $35 each to go watch the planes. Taxi's are about $9 per person each way. As others have stated the beach is narrow and crowded but not too terrible.

I was on Oasis last month and didn't see anything about making your own. I ate my share of the pizza and enjoyed it. It's just thin cheap pizza but that's what I like. Some people may expect a deep dish loaded pizza. If that's the case I can see disappointment. I enjoyed it though.

Last month while on the Oasis I booked for next year on the same ship, Oasis. Seven day cruise we received $275 OBC and the deposit was $200. (Two people)

I hope the water supply to the toilet is different than the sink in the cabins. In January on the Oasis our toilet kept getting a thick black film inside the bowl. I know the room steward knew it because he cleaned it everyday. It was as black as coal.

We were on Oasis last month and knew we would be cruising on it for our next cruise as well. I went online and checked prices. We then went in and talked to a CSR and they quoted the same price but the deposit was only $100 per person. We also received $275 OBC. I booked with them and recently transferred it to a TA and received an additional $25 OBC and $75 off the invoice.

Back in January I put a case of water in a heavy duty duffle bag and it made it through.
