  1. Tea...iced or hot, is totally included...there is no charge for any tea. He can drink all day, every day!

Wrong. They still have the free nasty tea on Lido but they started charging for the specialty teas. I don't remember the cost but it seems like a dollar or so per tea bag.

  2. I have a group of about 30 people so far booked and own a trophy and sign shop. I am planning on making customized luggage tags and the insulated mugs like the Yeti's for each person. My wife had said something about doing shirts for them as well. There are tote bags that can be customized as well. Whatever you decide needs to be something they can use on the cruise and then be a keepsake. I think something simple like totebags can be made by you. I don't tell my customers this but you can get blank tote bags from Michaels and use the inkjet transfers and use an iron to apply. We use a more durable process but they can be done at home as I mentioned.

  3. A few years ago in Caymen, we did a snorkel excursion and used their equipment. When we arrived all the snorkels were hanging off a big metal container about the diameter of a 55 gallon barrel. We had a great time until the end. Upon getting out of the water, we were told to put our snorkels in this bucket. As we were leaving a worker was taking them out of the bucket and hanging them back on the original big metal container getting ready for the next group. NEVER WASHED! Buy your own like we ended up doing before you trade slobber with so many other people!

  4. I have only cruised Carnival and been cruising with them for years. They do seem to be trying to live up to the term someone described them as before "Walmart of the Seas". The rates have stayed ok, gratuities and other things have gone up while service and quality have gone down. Things that used to make the cruise special have been stripped. I still cruise with them and will be leaving in 105 days an the Elation. If they need to raise the rates to give us what we are used to getting, raise them. For people that have never cruised, it's ok. They don't know what they are missing because they never had that great level of cruising as us.

  5. I have a group booked. The minimum is 8 cabins. I think they all need to be booked and paid for at the same time. You can add more cabins later and link them all. I could have had an OBC applied to each room for the discount but chose not to. Instead, we are getting a free cocktail party with an open bar and two Carnival totebags per room. Our son was killed in a car accident a few months ago and I figured having a private meeting place setup for all of us to have at least one get together would be great. He normally cruised with us. We are all booked under early saver so when the price goes down, we get the onboard credit. I have $300 OBC so far but I think part of it may have been for booking so many cabins.

  6. One of the many items we do at the business I own is screen printing shirts. We've done thousands of shirts over the years without getting this kind of approval. It would be different if I was selling Carnival Cruise Line shirts. Whoever you are dealing with is being too cautious or maybe they know they are in the Secretary of States sights for copyright infringement on something else. If someone came in wanting plain Disney shirts, I will not do them but something like you are wanting shouldn't be a problem with CCL.

  7. I can't stand this game. Reason is, I buried my son back in April and they say cemeteries have more games stops or whatever than any other place. I was taught not to play in a cemetery and that it was a sacred place. I go to the cemetery everyday and there's normally between 3-10 cars driving all over the place out there playing the game. They drive up on the grass, hit graves and throw their trash out. They have been the most inconsiderate people I've ever seen. Nothing matters except the game.

  8. On every one of my cruises (including the one on Glory two weeks ago) we have been freezing at night. That's ok because we can always add blankets to sleep. :)

I've never actually measured the temp, but I don't think there's a "cutback". There are differences in temp based on your location on the ship and the outside temps.

The clubs used to be freezing as well. To turn the temp control to warmer would save lots of money. I used to get headaches from the sharp cold air in public areas of the ships but especially in the clubs.

  9. I'm sure many people will not agree with me on this but this is just another cutback they thought we wouldn't notice. If you drop the temps like they used to it would cost more in fuel. I don't have a problem paying my electric bill but I have a smart thermostat. It cuts back during the day when we are at work. It saved me quite a bit just as it is saving CCL.

  10. It may depend on where the cabin is located as well. Our last cruise on the Breeze was terribly HOT! I would sweat getting ready for dinner and sweat trying to sleep. The room steward knew there was a problem and had the maintenance guy check it. He couldn't do anything so he brought a fan. I can't sleep with a fan like some people because it dries my mouth and throat out too bad. Years ago, we would take a light jacket going into the main showroom because the air was so cold. Now, it's only from comfortable to warm.
