  1. We were on the Oasis of the Seas a couple of years ago with James Brolin, Dean Cain and some others who were filming "mini movies" for the cruise line. We watched a lot of the filming, which was cool, one of our friends got to be in one of the scenes, etc. Dean Cain was very nice, but no one was allowed to get near James Brolin.

  2. Well, we don't drink, I don't drink coffee (my husband might have one cup a day). I'm even more frustrated now than I was earlier in the day! We spoke with our travel agent, who spoke with MSC, and she got different answers concerning the drink packages. You have to purchase them ahead of time, no wait, you don't! She wasn't able to get any answers about specifically what is covered. She said that an MSC representative is meeting with them on October 3 and she should have some answers then. I'm sorry, is this any way to run a business?! I realize that this is the first time for this ship in the Caribbean, but I hate to think that we are paying good money to be guinea pigs...

  3. I'm so sorry, I know this has been addressed ad nauseum, but I'm still confused. I think the reason is that my husband and I are not drinkers. So, none of the packages seem to make any sense for us. I have read the bar prices (in pounds, not sure how that translates to $). I noticed that they have a couple of new packages for the Caribbean, one being the DoReMi (really, that's the best they could come up with?) package. They say you get a specific number of vouchers. Are these physical vouchers that you have to carry on you? That's inconvenient!

And when they talk about milk shakes being included, since they don't mention gelato, I'm going to assume that is not included. How much is the gelato? With my "17-year-old, having a continuous growth spurt" son, I cringe to think of how much he might have in a day!

May I just say, that MSC's way of doing things is WAY more confusing than other lines we've been on.

Any thoughts or tips would be greatly appreciated.
