  1. I read on another thread that HOS takes two terminals on Barcelona. One for the bow, another for the stern. How does that work when a group is split between them?

I'm in the stern but my friends are in the bow. Will I get yelled at if I try boarding with them?

And when we depart, will my bags be in a different terminal then theirs? That will make getting a taxi to the airport a pain...

  2. Well my itinerary says we dock at 7:00 AM and leaves at 8:00 PM. So I can probably take one of the later ferries (5:10 / 5:35 / 6:10) and still get back from an hour and a 1/2 to at a minimum of 45 minutes before the ship leaves. Or is that cutting it to close?

  3. I am in the middle of planning my trip to Capri from Naples via the ferry. As I was looking at the ferry schedule I realized I had no idea how long I needed. I would hate to have to rush and worry about missing my return ferry. the flip side is I would hate to be done seeing everything and still have two hours to kill...

How long would you set aside to tour Capri? I guess I want to do the usual touresty things, ride the funicula and the chairlift, see the Augustus gardens and I Faraglioni..

  4. Has anyone tried "Dog Town" while on board? Are they all Red hots? That question might seem odd to anyone not from Western NY. We also have White hots (or Buckwurst style).

Or at least are the dogs Kosher? I am allergic to something in non-kosher red hots. Maybe a filler or dye???

  5. Yummm... the cream of mushroom soup is my favorite dish on any Royal Caribbean menu. Makes my mouth water just to see the picture !

Mine too, can you get them in other resturants, or are they Chops only?

  6. If my memory serves me correctly I believe seeing threads from the past about other new ships still having construction going on while on it first few cruises. I guess this is the norm even though the ship should be completed before any paying cruisers should be let onboard, they are paying for full use of the ship and not having certain areas closed because it is not completed.

I was on Carnival Sunshine six weeks out of its drydock/retrofit. They were still working on it even then.

  7. Thanks for the review; can't wait to read and see your photos. I looked on Royal Caribbean website and can't find any information on the single supplement rooms. Can someone tell me how to get information. Thanks

    Shirley

Okay Shirley, what do you want to know? I have a Studio cabin booked for the end of September. If I had booked a normal cabin for just me it would have been another couple of hundred dollars. Personally I am wondering just how small the cabin is, but since it's just me... And it's just a place to sleep and shower...

  8. The ship is more important than the destinations. They'll always be there. The ship won't.

No way Dude! I am the exact opposite. I just want a half way decent ship / line. The ports are what "floats my boat".

And as far as the destinations always being there, Global Warming... In the future, you are gonna need scuba gear to see Saint Marks Square in Venice.. :(
