Interporting, as it's known, is used more in Europe, especially the Med. Lots of Muster drills!
That's the part i am wondering about. How are they gonna work that?

A sailing is a sailing, what is an 'overlap'?
There is a very good reason for that. 3000 people... this way they have "two shifts" It makes it a pain for me. We wanted to leave from Rome, but they didn't have any Studio cabins on that half...

I think Google failed me. The Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma, more commonly referred to as La Seu
Google seems to show the window just North of due East.
-
Here is one tip though, bring some cash with you. I had to beg for money in Venice...
True story. I was wandering and needed to use the restroom (too far to the cruise ship) but was a 1/2 Euro short. :o
-
How is the cathedral oriented east / west wise? I want to attempt to photograph the sun streaming through the rose window. When is the best time for that? Morning, Noon, early afternoon?
-
My roll call is mostly about sharing excursions. No one talks about the ship, or anything on it, just "I have two extra seats in my tour"...
BORING...

The novelty of the "abysmal" slides will wear off pretty quick for me.
I consider this RC version of "peacocking" - definition: behavior in an over the top and flashy manner for the purpose of attracting new customers.
On the Disney boards, when they talk about ships like Harmony, they say about how boxy they look, like container ships, just for people. They say that the Disney ships have the sweep of classic ocean liners.
Well... I will reserve judgement until after I sail on her... But 3000 people and split embarkation ports... I wonder how they are gonna do the lifeboat drills? Am I going to have to do two of them?

Shirley you can't be serious... :D
I am, and don't call me Shirley

I'll keep my eyes peeled (ewe... that sounds gross..) :p

Have a friend that wants to do A European cruise by herself. Doesn't really care where it goes but 200% is just too much.
Check out Harmony of the Seas. They have studio cabins especially for one... I am booked in one for this September. I'll have to check to see how much I saved over a standard cabin by myself... I know it is almost a grand... The seven day cruise is just over $1100 plus excursions ect...
-
I booked just to make sure there's a spot for me, but I can always cancel, right???

If it's Monday Night Football, they should be playing it somewhere. If not on the "big Screen", it should be in one of the bars...
At least your team is on Monday Night... I think I am missing the Bills two weeks in a row...

No, but I was asking about RCI's Discover Renaissance Rome myself in the RCI forum.
BTW: What dates are you on HOS?
-
I am not sure if this is the correct place to ask...
Has anyone been on these two RCI shore excursions?
A Taste of Florence
Discover Renaissance Rome
These tours seem to be a fit for what I want to do, but one had only two reviews, and the other none...

Speaking of Football (American Football that is), will there be places to watch the games on the ship?
However, I sort of doubt that they will be showing the Bill's game...
-
Hmmm, we tipped last time. I think we did a euro per bag...

Personally I am hopping the hydrofoil to Capri.
See my post (Sorrento or Capri?) http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2347178

Well for families Disney is normally ranked the highest. However they are also more expensive. I personally like Disney, but frequently find the cost too high...
Compare dates, itinerary, and cost to decide.

Harmony is a bit bigger and might hold a few more people.
I wouldn't pick a trip based on which ship I was on, but on where they are leaving from / going to... Figure out where you want to visit and then see which ships hit those ports...
-
The Quantum Class ships have that also. When we were on the Quantum, it moved fast. Faster then any other ship I was on. So there is something to be said for those "Tiny Bubbles". Less drag = more speed!
TINY BUBBLES!!
TINY BUBBLES!!!
Great, now I'll have that Don Ho song in my head all day...

Yes, Harmony is Oasis class.

It comes on again on the Science Channel on April 27th, at 4PM Eastern (Comcast 446).
We watched the show last night (recorded). I have to say I was a little disappointed. I expected more... I don't know how many times they said that the six engines put out as much power as 1200 cars...

Capri it is!!! :)

I'm going to be in Naples for around 11 hours. I was thinking of hopping a ferry to either Capri or Sorrento. I would like suggestions on which to do, or could I visit both?

You get Fiber???
The US is supposed to be the leader in all things, yet we always seem to be behind the rest of the world.. I guess it costs too much money to upgrade our infrastructure. We need the money to build planes the air-force doesn't want, refurb tanks the army doesn't need, and bail out all the ponzi schemes...
