What's your point?
More of just a comment in a conversation, rather than a point.

There are some people that wait and wait to the moment they can check in (as in 12:01 a.m. 21 days prior.) I've read it dozens of times on these pages.

If you're travailing solo do you get 4 free meals?

And realize that Uber and Lyft are based on demand pricing and when the cruise ships arrive, there is a high demand, so prices escalate quickly.
Very true I forgot about that, If you walk at a NYC pace you can make it from pier to PENN in just over 25 min. ( I've done it with luggage)

Taking an Uber from MCT to JFK will cost you ~$100
Taking an Uber from MCT to PENN sta is ~$20 , Then from PENN to Jamaica sta is $8 then a short walk to the Airtrain and Airtrain to JFK is $8 (This will take ~1 hour total)
I have no idea what various shuttles would cost or how long it would take.

Quick question (not to hijack thread) How does bidding on an upgrade work? Is it like e-bay where you can see current bids and you just keep raising it till they close bidding, or something else entirely?

If you buy an excursion on the tv screens throughout the ship it does not ask for nsmes. You will get s ticket delivered to your room. Whoever can take that ticket and go. Just make sure to dip the card of the one with the credit.

B2B post conflicting information, why am I not surprised?

I have never cruised Carnival but every time I log in to cruisecritic I sail on over to the Carnival boards because youse guys are on a whole different level. Some of you just don't seem happy with Carnival, try a different line depending on what I'm looking for I'd go HAL, RCCL, PCL, my favorite is NCL who can do no wrong by me.

Part of the revamped muster drill. (BTW, you don't technically have to watch it, but keep it on in the background while you are unpacking and just let it play out...)
My 1st thought exactly.

Do you really think the President of CCL could just be a "passenger" aboard Carnival and not be recognized by crew and even fellow passengers, you're delusional. Ask former President of NCL what happened when he went in disguise aboard one of his ships on Undercover boss how fast he was spotted by crew and passengers alike. 🤣

You also have to watch a 15 minute video at some point in your cabin in order to be able to use your tv.
What's this all about, is it new, is it fleet wide, or part of the muster drill in some way?

I think I changed some sort of setting, the layout in general has for me has been different for several days now. Did cruisecritic change the boards or did I inadvertently do it, do we have an option for the older layout if cruisecritic did this?

How many passes do you think they would make available for near sold out cruise on one of these mega ships? I would hope they would not oversell and the next thing you know the Vibe area is like the main pool deck on a sea day.

So in your experience there should be major incidents on every cruise ship with teens aboard sailing European itineraries … there aren’t.
I may have conveyed that wrong aboard U.S. and private military ships as well as cargo carriers it almost always comes with incident, perhaps less on cruise ships. I have spent considerably more time aboard ships that were not "cruise" ships, I may be jaded.
-
I never understood why don't people just bring a refillable water bottle and just drink the free pure water that flows allover everywhere on the ship?

I have never once seen aboard a vessel whether it was a U.S. military, private military, international cargo transport, cruise, or even a fishing boat where teenagers were drinking and we were without incident more times then not it was a serious incident. I base my opinion having been aboard all kinds of ships in all kinds of situations.

If you have and/or expect to receive any non-refundable Onboard Credit while on the cruise, wait until you are on the NCL ship. And, as said, if you do this at 00:01 hours on Day 2, you will be charged for 1 less day of unlimited access - that's typically $30 per day.
I'm confused, if you don't turn on your FAS Internet till day 2 you will receive ~$30. non-refundable credit to your account, and so on and so forth each day you don't use it?

2,852 days ago 😲 but no worries I'm going on a 12 day cruise in 25 days 😀

I am on board with this thread as I am on the Jan. 20th sailing, and looking forward to living vicariously through this thread 12 days before my 12 days aboard.

There are many factors involved that will determine that, almost too many to guess now.

I have never booked Vibe before but have booked it on my upcoming 12 cruise (Getaway). Can someone who has been there before elaborate a little more, speaking of value, whatnot, and is the no kid policy enforced better than other adult only areas of the ship?

Where is it listed that platinum level allows you to go to stateroom before its announced that rooms are ready?
