  1. I understand that, I was looking for the drop off point. I have already found that information... thank you
  2. Has anyone taken this tour. It is essentially a shuttle to Kyoto and you sightsee on your own. My question for anyone that has taken this tour "Where do that drop you in Kyoto?" The tour description has no details for this and I'd like to plan a little in advance on the things we would like to see within reason, but it is impossible to plan if you don't know where you are starting your day. Thank you!
  3. I've ordered it without the Blue Cheese....
  4. I'm trying to get something a little more definitive. I need to book a private shuttle and don't know the best time to book it for. I'll probably keep track of a couple of more sailings
  5. Can someone tell me what time the Walk off's are allowed to disembark on the Icon of the Seas? Can you post the sheet with disembarkation times?
  6. I don't believe a 3rd party purchase will work for your credit card credit. In order to get the credit from your credit card company it has to be a purchase from Princess. If you purchase the cards from a store or AARP that is what it shows on your credit card, not a purchase from Princess. This happens for people that purchase their air through Princess with their airline credit card. They do not receive the credit because it isn't purchased directly with the airline.
  7. I think maybe I can cash out at the casino and use it as extra gratuities for staff, that will help to get rid of some of it.
  8. We disembark in Yokohoma so I'm pretty sure I can't convert it there.
  9. We are past final payment date and I don't believe they will refund that now.
  10. We don't sail until April, I'm just trying to come up with a plan. None of the onboard credit is refundable. $250 used to be since it is military and although this has been booked since before the change making it non-refundable it appears they aren't going to honor that. I thought I would be safe if there were leftovers I could just move it to the Casino and pull it out, that is until I heard that the payouts in the Casino are in AUD$. (How did you manage to get a check from the Casino? vs a payout?) We don't gamble much but I accidently left $50 in my casino account on a previous cruise and never received anything. After booking the Princess excursions we wanted we have $640 AUD left. We have the Premier plan and are booked in a suite so we have 3 specialty dining and unlimited everything else so I just don't see a lot of additional expenditures. In the past, nice bottles of Scotch were purchased for gifts, but I'm not sure that I want to deal with that flying home from Japan.
  11. While we are discussing Australia tours I need some suggestions.... We have some significant AUD Onboard Credit. $1160 worth. I have several excursions booked but we also booked some individual excursions. We have the Premier package so I'm not anticipating a lot of extra charges. I have always heard you can pull onboard credit by moving it to the Casino and cashing out, but since the ship is operating on AUD, what does a US Citizen do with several hundred AUD$ when the ship ends in Japan? Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated? What do US Citizens do if they hit a Jackpot on an Australian Sailing?
  12. We are doing this excursion in April and I have pre-booked the "Touch a Koala" experience.
  13. That breakdown is just for the three major benefits of the plan. You also receive the 1. Medallion Mailing valued at $10 2. Two Casual dining meals at no cost ($14.99 per meal) 3. The two exercise classes 4. Two premium desserts a day (although I haven't met many people that consider this a benefit. 5. No additional charge if you want to use the app to order food or beverage deliveries. (worth $14.99) 6. Free room service delivery if you order with your phone ($5 value)
  14. I think you have to remember that all of the drinks purchased (water, soda, beer, wine, cocktails) all automaticlly add an 18% gratuity on to the tab. If you have a package the gratuities are included with the drink. At $60 per day per person for plus, if you normally purchase wifi you are at $31 a day just for gratuities and wifi. A $12 cocktail ends up costing you more than $14. Two $12 cocktails a day puts you almost to the $29 you have left and you haven't purchased, coffee, tea, water, soda's or anything else on the list.
  15. If you cancel before 45 days prior to your sailing the air would be cancelled unless you did early ticketing. If you cancel after the 45 days prior you would own the ticket and it would fall under the Airline rules which I believe would give you a credit.
  16. I am surprised you are not able to book seats on Delta, unless it is not a Delta operated flight. (Booked through Delta but operated by a different airline) If you have a Delta Skymiles account, attach your number to your EZAir booking and log into your Delta account online and select your seats. I have always been able to select seats directly on Delta. BTW- It helps with most of the Domestic airlines if you have a Frequent Flyer number attached to your booking, you will be able to see your booking on the airline account when you log in.
  17. Princess does offer an EZ pay program. (most of the cruise lines are now offering something similar) You can set up payments or set up your final payment to be paid on your final due date by supplying the credit card you want to use. This is helpful for people that are traveling or want to set it and forget it. I am guessing that this is what was set up. I find it doesn't pay first thing in the morning, but in the afternoon/evening. It does send out a reminder 2 days prior but that may have gone to the Princess person or the Travel Agent. https://www.princess.com/en-us/plan/ezpay-cruise-payment-plan
  18. I've had several issues with booking specialty dining previously, I log in and it shows no reservations available. I delete the app each time and reload it and then they usually show up and I've been able to book them at that time. Whenever the app doesn't look normal, I always delete it and reload it and it usually solves the problem.
  19. What ship are you booked on? The benefits vary based on the ship. The Royal Class ships have a Suite Lounge where you can partake in complimentary beverages and food during the day. They usually offer a light breakfast with pastries, yogurt and fruit and sandwiches at lunch time. In the evening They offer complimentary beverages for two hours (including alcohol) and they offer nice appetizers to go with it. They have a really nice coffee machine and you can always grab bottles of water (still and sparkling) or cans of soda. We liked the suites on the older ships, but we love them on the Royal Class ships.
  20. I guess it has been awhile since you have cruised. They no longer have a coffee package so you can no longer swap the minibar for the coffee package.
  21. We opened a separate checking account with debit cards through USAA. We have a separate bank account for our home. We never use our home checking account for pulling money out at a foreign ATM. I don't want our home funds lost should someone have a skimmer placed etc. We deposit money in the USAA account we are going to travel and then that is the Debit card we use at the ATM. We have a 1% foreign transaction fee which I feel is pretty nominal plus the transaction fee for using a bank outside of my network. Several years ago we traveled with a lot of folks on a cruise and several pre-ordered Euros for an exorbitant price. We withdrew Euro's from an ATM in Barcelona for $1.08 plus the 1% fee. I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread and we have been operating this way for travel since.
