  1. Princess does offer an EZ pay program. (most of the cruise lines are now offering something similar) You can set up payments or set up your final payment to be paid on your final due date by supplying the credit card you want to use. This is helpful for people that are traveling or want to set it and forget it. I am guessing that this is what was set up. I find it doesn't pay first thing in the morning, but in the afternoon/evening. It does send out a reminder 2 days prior but that may have gone to the Princess person or the Travel Agent. https://www.princess.com/en-us/plan/ezpay-cruise-payment-plan
  2. I've had several issues with booking specialty dining previously, I log in and it shows no reservations available. I delete the app each time and reload it and then they usually show up and I've been able to book them at that time. Whenever the app doesn't look normal, I always delete it and reload it and it usually solves the problem.
  3. What ship are you booked on? The benefits vary based on the ship. The Royal Class ships have a Suite Lounge where you can partake in complimentary beverages and food during the day. They usually offer a light breakfast with pastries, yogurt and fruit and sandwiches at lunch time. In the evening They offer complimentary beverages for two hours (including alcohol) and they offer nice appetizers to go with it. They have a really nice coffee machine and you can always grab bottles of water (still and sparkling) or cans of soda. We liked the suites on the older ships, but we love them on the Royal Class ships.
  4. I guess it has been awhile since you have cruised. They no longer have a coffee package so you can no longer swap the minibar for the coffee package.
  5. We opened a separate checking account with debit cards through USAA. We have a separate bank account for our home. We never use our home checking account for pulling money out at a foreign ATM. I don't want our home funds lost should someone have a skimmer placed etc. We deposit money in the USAA account we are going to travel and then that is the Debit card we use at the ATM. We have a 1% foreign transaction fee which I feel is pretty nominal plus the transaction fee for using a bank outside of my network. Several years ago we traveled with a lot of folks on a cruise and several pre-ordered Euros for an exorbitant price. We withdrew Euro's from an ATM in Barcelona for $1.08 plus the 1% fee. I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread and we have been operating this way for travel since.
  6. No need to bring an extension cord. Just ask your stateroom attendent for one. They will bring it and route it safely to an outlet and tape the cord down so that it isn't a tripping hazard. You can also request distilled water for your cpap.
  7. Thank you, I'll research these options. I am also looking at the Shinjuku area.
  8. We are arriving by cruise ship to Yokohoma. We would like to stay for 2 or 3 nights before flying out of Haneda. I've been searching for transportation options and found the YCAT at the Yokohoma Station to get us to Haneda before our flight home. So we were going to take a taxi from the ship to Yokohoma Station. I originally thought about staying at the Sheraton at Yokohoma Station but I am wondering if there is another area of Yokohoma or Tokyo to stay in for good hotel/restaurant options that we can use as a base for sightseeing and we can always work our way back to Yokohoma station/ YCAT for the transfer to Haneda. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If we stay for longer we may spend a day sightseeing in Tokyo from Yokohoma.
  9. Full suites get Club class dining for Dinner each night, Lunch on Sea Days and you get to dine in one of the Specialty dining restaurants (usually Sabatini's) for a mimosa Breakfast each morning. (The breakfast is the best part of this deal, it is never crowded and while there is a menu they'll basically get you anything you ask for) You get the use of the Suite lounge on Royal Class ships. For two hours each evening they serve beer, wine, cocktails and appetizers. Alcoholic beverages are only available (complimentary) during those two hours. There is usually a themed night several times during the voyage. The concierge is also located in the Suite lounge and helps with dining reservations and requests. You can also grab Soft drinks, bottles of sparkling and still water and mixers. They have an espresso machine and hot tea. The room attendant leaves two bottles of water per day, but we grabbed extra water when needed and sodas as well. At breakfast they had fruit, pastries etc. and at lunch hours they have sandwiches and fruit. The first time we sailed in a suite on the Discovery Princess we had the plus package. We never used it. The second time, we cancelled it. We changed the mini-bar setup to two coffee cards and on a 15 night cruise we barely used that because there was always coffee across the hall. (We like the S4 suites near the concierge lounge) My husband is convinced we will cruise no other way....
  10. Pre-Covid - I was employed where I was required to wear a mask and a full bunny suit and oftentimes an scba and all kinds of protective gear in multiple layers. I worked 12 hour days and a lot of required overtime. It was hot and uncomfortable but it was required and I did it because I wanted to keep my job. You are a passenger and you have the choice. They are employees and their employer mandates something else, just like employers all over the world. If they are sick and in bed they are of no value to Princess and the folks that are spreading it get to enjoy the rest of their vacation and then go home and complain that the ships are understaffed. Wearing masks and protective equipment is not abnormal and never has been.
  11. We booked a suite in April, and have two upcoming cruises booked in suites and as soon as they were booked I was able to book our first night specialty dining in the Medallion app. One is for a cruise in 2024. Try deleting the app and reloading it and see if that changes things.
  12. I love afternoon tea in my cabin.... Come on September 2nd! 😁
  13. If you open the app they all have a default time. Mine is 8:10PM as you can see below and each specialty restaurant is listed at 8:10 PM. But there is a dropdown box that says "SELECT TIME" that I have circled in red below it gives you the ability to switch the time. Scroll up or down until the time you want is highlighted and it will change the default time.
  14. We booked them for 3 nights prior to our cruise. It looks like a lot of fun. We don't go until the end of August/first part of September. I'd be curious as to what you think.
  15. We are traveling from LHR to the Hilton Tower Bridge hotel. I have been trying to research options for transportation- We will be traveling with a couple of suitcases per person. I thought about the Tube but I've read you have to be careful which stations you transfer at because you could be schlepping luggage up/down Stairs and longer distances between stations. I thought about the National Express Coach from LHR to Victoria Station and then catching a Taxi to the hotel. I've tried to research Taxi's from LHR to the Hotel. Having never been to London I'm unsure what to expect. We will be up and traveling for over 24 hours before we get to this portion of our travels so I'd like something reasonably frustration free.
