Anyone who has previously ordered these, how long do they usually take to ship?
Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
The $100 ones come regular USPS mail
In about a week. The $500 come UPS and require signature so they take a little
Longer. I ordered over the holidays and it was delayed - took nearly 3 weeks.

Can't wait to read all about it!
Great review so far....very entertaining! :)

Do you get a shipping notification when the $100 ones ship? I know I got tracking info for the $500 one, but do the $100s just show up? I want to book my excursions! :)

How do I sign up for e-mail notifications?
You would need to find your cruise roll call, and at the top of the thread, it says "thread tools" I think. You can subscribe to get email notifications when someone posts. You might get a lot of notifications, but if/when FTTF comes open, hopefully one of your fellow cruisers will let others know.
That's how I was able to jump on it when more spots opened up.

I bought 2 of the $500 cards, I received conformation that they were purchased but it said they will be mailed. Is this right, I hear everyone talking about theirs being an e certificate.
Yes the $500 ones are actual gift cards and are mailed by UPS (at least mine was when I ordered in Dec). You should get an email when it's shipped and you will have to sign for it when it arrives.
E-certificates would be so much easier, but I haven't heard about Verizon rewards doing that.

We are sailing on the Breeze in March and FTTF was previously sold out, but just this week, it opened up again. It was sold out in a matter of hours. Your best bet is to find the roll call for your particular cruise and sign up for email notifications...if/when it opens up, you'll need to purchase it quickly.

Looks like that week is the most common for college spring breaks. We are leaving March 20, and it was (is) a major concern of mine too. I think generally speaking, the longer cruises on the newer (more $) ships will attract fewer college kids, but it IS spring break, so I'm sure they'll be on every ship. As long as it's not one big wet t-shirt contest, I think we can manage. ;)

Snagged 2 $100 this morning...thanks for posting!
Do the $100 cards come quicker than the $500? Just regular USPS mail? When I ordered a $500, it took awhile to get here and then I had to coordinate to be here to sign for it. Hoping the $100 are easier...I need to book some excursions!
Thanks!

Ugh....Royal Caribbean GCs just came available.
Hopefully that's a good sign that Carnival's are coming soon!

We just purchased FTTF when it opened up again a couple days ago, but being the crazy overplanner that I am, I already printed and laminated our luggage tags. Now if I go in to print them, they have a little FTTF circle and a big F 2 F on them.
So the porters tag the FTTF bags with an orange sticker to identify them as "faster" bags?? Will that be enough to mark our bags or should I just suck it up and redo all my tags?
Thanks!

Where have all the gift cards gone...?
I need to book some excursions, and 10% off would be a big help.
I even joined AARP rewards to increase my chances of scoring a few! :D
It seems like it's been awhile since the gift cards were available.

He has said it is NOT the Vista
"As I mentioned in a previous post I will be heading to Jacksonville tomorrow where on Thursday I will be joined by our President Christine Duffy and a gaggle of beards and press
Now apparently some of you are speculating what we will be announcing and while I cannot tell you what I can tell you what it is not
The Carnival Vista will not be sailing from Jacksonville. While we love the port and love sailing our ships from there, the bridge the ships have to sail under poses the same concerns as me squeezing my flaccid thighs into a pair of skinny jeans with no Xs on the label .
It's going to be a fun announcement though for sure. Stay tuned
Cheers"
:D That's awesome.

I think you made a good decision.
Just curious...how did you get the offer? Email, phone call?
And if you book through a travel agent, is there still a possibility of getting an upsell offer?
-
-
That would be amazing!
We live 30 min from the port...it would be fabulous to have a new port that could accommodate larger ships.
Where did you hear about the announcement?

I emailed Mr. Sanchos and they do honor the passes purchased on Shore Excursioneer.
Great, thanks for letting me know! I'm going to book tonight.
-
Have you checked out shoreexcursioneer.com ?
It's about $5 and you just pay a deposit, but I can't seem to find many reviews.
-
Thanks! I'll print, cut, and laminate now!
57 more days....too soon?! :D
-
I know that it clearly says "do not cut" but is the purpose of folding both sides back just to strengthen the tags? I want to laminate them, but wondering if I can just cut off the sides and laminate the center (with the info).
Thanks!

The cards were available on Monday of this week for just a coupe of hours.
Once you click on checkout, there's a link right there that says "pay for with gift card." Click on it.
Thanks...I'll keep checking.
And I now see the gift card box! Thank you!

TWO QUESTIONS:
~ Have the $100 cards popped up lately? I'd like to purchase a couple.
~ When using the cards to pay for shore excursions on the Carnival website, where do I enter the gift card number? Where is says "promo code"? Do I need the PIN # as well?
Thanks!

Has anyone booked an excursion through shoreexcursioneer.com? Interested in going to Mr Sanchos and they offer a little bit of a discount and a reduced deposit, but I was hoping to get some feedback.
Thanks!

If they have a FB account they can do the same.
We are boarding our dogs and will have contact through FB messaging.
Great point...they do have FB. Thanks :)
Spray tan before cruise?
in Cruise Fashions & Beauty
Posted
Does anyone have any experience/advice on doing a spray tan before cruising? I'd just like to have some color for vacation. I'm thinking about doing a booth spray tan, but I'm wondering how soon before we leave I should do it and should I do a "trial run" a couple weeks before??
Any advice would be GREAT! :)
Thanks
