What do you want to do? 🤔 There's several beach options in the area, everglades/alligator tours, Kennedy Space Center, etc. Or rent a car or book a tour and head to WDW or Universal Studios for the day.
I could find only 2 excursions offered in Orlando (Port Canaveral yesterday- one was to "Icon Park" and the other to Disney Marketplace. There used to be tons of excursions. Any idea what happened. This is for a cruise next March (2021)

thanks Cool Cruiser

can anyone tell me- do you still get points for comped cruises and double points if you travel solo? What about solo balcony studios?
-
Checked for this years prime offer and it is not showing up yet- nor is any other offer!
-
Yes- i don't see anything in my offers yet and i should have a prime annual offer

We were booked on the March 29, 2020 Empress Of The Seas cruise and were cancelled when the CDC ordered a shutdown. I have called twice for my refund, but still have not received any funds. Has anyone else received their taxes and port charges for a comp cruise?
Nope and they cancelled mine on March 13 for March 20 and again cancelled on April 11 for my May 15 cruise- still nothing. I have called numerous times and still nothing.

A Government lab just proved that this virus does not survive in sunlight and hot/humid temps. This is a good thing. I will look for the link and post. See if this link works.
This might give us some breathing room this summer to find better treatments, Remedisivir is one and a vaccine as well.
I don't wish to be too harsh or critical but this is not yet proven per the DHS and if it were it would have been disclosed by Dr Fauci, the CDC and the WHO. The article says they are hopeful but that it would irresponsible to draw conclusions at this time.

I saw online this afternoon that Trump is speaking with Carnival cruises about possibility using their ships for corona patients.
https://www.miamiherald.com/news/business/tourism-cruises/article241336261.html
It is a nice offer but I don't think it is a good idea for several reasons.
What are your thoughts? What if Royal did this, would you get on that cruise ship for a future cruise?
It was my understanding that the idea was to use it for non-corona patients freeing up some space in the hospitals for the sickest corona patients.

I have heard that are extending the Prime cruises for those who had theirs cancelled
I have not heard or seen that anywhere. In fact Club Royale said they absolutely will not extend them. I earned mine last year and it had to be used by March 31 so i had one scheduled for this Friday and they said i would just lose it. I earned this and it cost me quite a bit to do so last year!

Not only can they NOT do New Zealand for next three months, but they can't do Alaska either. Unless the PVA is turned over for 3 months allowing them to go to Seattle which has its own issues too.
Gee should be interesting. I mean the FLA and East coast ships might fare better but the Pacific area is gonna really hurt the company.
Feel bad for the Officers and crew and all the passengers who had TA and trips. Wondering if Australia will allow them to cruise around Australia?
Time will tell. Take care down under you two great ships that I have been on both.
so far- it is not 3 months- it is thru the end of June so as of July 1, cruising is still open in Canada. That may of course change at any moment.
-
the reportsd are only that Canada has closed its port until July. In other words thru the end of June. Not the entire cruise season- so far.

We came off the Allure yesterday with casino certificates for my wife and myself, the certificates were for $500 and $400 but still had the statement “must be booked within 30 days” when I asked the Casino host whether this will be extended was told you must still book within the time stated even with all the issues going on.
This is really ok- ypou just need to book something withint 30 days of your prior cruise- the cruise you book does not need to take place in that time frame- you can book something now for the summer or next fall- so you can use it- you just need to book within 30 days of the cruise on which you received it.

Is this your free cruise from last year earning Prime? C.R. told us we couldn't book our current free cruise till after 2nd week of April for this year so will book ours later - hopefully!
Agree, try calling again - talk to someone else. You might get a different answer.
NJ
Yes this is from last years Prime status. It expires on 3/31/20. My cruise on 3/20 was cancelled by Royal so i won't be able to use this.

We are in the exact same situation, believe it or not the last time this occurred to us (100% free cruise and Royal cancelled and refund / FCC was given) we received a FCC equal to the value of the cruise fare rate, not what was paid to them. So I will be waiting to see if that occurs again before requesting my refund. Luckily we had already both earned of prime status for April 2020 on prior cruises otherwise I would be upset.
My suggestion to you is to wait and see how much FCC they offer before requesting a refund.
Kyle
Kyle- thanks so much! I will keep my fingers crossed for this. Yes, i already earned my Prime for this year too so this cruise was not critical.

Sorry, Robinhill, that doesn’t seem fair. Is it because you had to use the prime certificate before the end of March? Whether or not, they should allow you to reschedule. Ordinarily I would suggest escalating your request to shoreside executives, but they probably would not be sympathetic at this time. Maybe wait until this all calms down and approach them about it saying you didn’t want to burden them with your request while they were dealing with the immediate situation. The supervisor you dealt with probably didn’t have the authority or ability to override any system programming blocks. I hope you can eventually get your cruise reinstated.
Thanks so much- this sounds like excellent advice.

Since yesterday 3/13 Canada will close its ports because of coronavirus may end Alaska big ship cruises over 500 passengers until July. What will happen to all the Alaskan cruises? We have ours June 12th? Los Angels Times/USA Today
they postponed cruising until July 1. It is closed through the end of June.

So after being on hold with Club Royale for 2+ hours- and speaking to a supervisor- they will not allow me to move my free Prime cruise (which THEY cancelled) to a May cruise date. They said i just get the port fees back and lose the cruise benefit. I think this is very unfair. I earned it and they should extend the ability to rebook this cruise within the next couple of months anyway since they needed to cancel the cruises. What is your opinion. Of course i understand they needed to shut down but i still theink they need to honor this.

I'm from Kuwait. Although we don't have many infected (72 as of today), Schools and universities were closed for 2 weeks. Today, it was announced that the whole country will shut down for the next 2 weeks, and all commercial flights to be suspended. Borders with Iraq and Saudi Arabia were closed earlier in the week.
There is so much fear, mainly when seeing the sharp increase in confirmed cases in Europe.
The family plans on travelling to the US in July/August. So far, we haven't talked about cancelling that trip but we will get to it next month probably, when it becomes clear if the virus is under or out of control.
Nalrudaini- a lot can change and either get better or worse between now and July/August. We may have a better handle on it by then. I would not worry too much nor would i cancel yet. Just my opinion

You will lose 100% of your cruise fare.
Port fees, taxes and gratuities will be refunded
I thought that they would be given FCC for cancelling up to 48 hours prior to the cruise and the taxes, fees and excursions would be credited back to their credit card. Read the cruise with confidence statement.

If I book an interior guarantee stateroom on Symphony of the Seas is the one with the virtual balcony or central park view included?
Or if it's only the regular interior stateroom?
Thanks

Thanks for the info. We'll keep that in mind for next year when we go (land tour starting 08/07/2021 in Fairbanks and working our way down to Seward, followed by the southbound cruise). Hopefully, they'll be offering that excursion next year.
Thats what i always do although honestly after i did the cruiseline tour and saw how easy it is to maneuver from Fairbanks down to Anchorage and then the train to Seward for the ship, i since have done 3 more DIY land tours myself for about half the price and including all hotels, car rentals, meals, and many extra excursions that were not included in the cruisetour. I know you are going to love it and will return again and again! Have a great time
