  1. Funny, on my both my Oasis August 20 and October 13 sails, the MDR food was good to very good. WJ lunch selections and quality was meh. Went mostly to the MDR for lunch and brunch on sea days. There may be some hope in the future if Royal follows Celebrity lead. Celebrity effective in late November will reintroduce the Classic entrees section in each night's menu. Also, they are rejiggering the entree selections in the main part of the menu.
  2. Don't know if changes between the date booked and the actual sailing date is a reason. Recently, Bahamas/Nassau announced that effective January 1, 2024, their taxes on cruising would go up. Got a revised amounts from Royal and it's a mishmash. My Anthem February 9 is lower by $12+, while my Mach 31 is up by $20. My Symphony October 13 sail went up by $11. These sails are from Bayonne and have basically the same itinerary. A hint as to why the February 9 sail got a reduction is that the original Anthem March 31 T&F totaled $176.69, while my Symphony October 13 was $169.36.
  3. On my October 20th sail on Oasis from Bayonne only signed 3 times and always at the same places Coco Cay, Sorento and at Park Cafe on embarkation day. None at MDR, WJ, Theatre, Aqua, Ice and Adult shows.
  4. Not to belabor the point, why even show it. When I get an invoice from them this amount is not shown and included in the total fare line.
  5. Adjustment for taxes & fees. Sometimes I get minor credits on my account and no explanations. Also, when I do a mock booking on my TA website, they show an amount for Port Fees excluding the taxes & fees. For instance, on Symphony October sail from Bayonne it states "includes Port Fees of $450 and excludes taxes and fees of $181. For those in the know, is the $450 for the docking in Bayonne only or does it include the other ports visited. This amount is a good chunk of the price for the cruise.
  6. So, you think Hawaii is cheap. Are you going to flap your arms to get there and stay in a flop house and not leave it.🤣
  7. I feel for you. I'm sure other cruise lines will welcome you with open arms.
  8. WOW, your first post and you doubt what is being presented. Welcome to CC.
  9. We had no issues in the past, until the October 20 Oasis sail as some geniuses decided to change the method of paying for parking. Prior, as you entered the garage, the attendant gave you a parking ticket and you proceeded to park the car. Payment was done on disembarkation. On the October 20th cruise, the attendants at the entrance to the open garage had a small handheld machine and collected the parking fee via cc and gave you a receipt. The machine accepting and issuing a payment receipt was quite slow and this slowed down the process as cars waiting to drop luggage and park was some 2 miles long. One thing that the new process did was reduce the number of passengers in the terminal going thru security. Disembarking was another nightmare. We disembarked at about 8:30 and a long line snaked thru the MDR on the 5th deck. Also, at the opposite end the line snaked near the theatre. Don't know if everyone decided to get off at the same time but at certain stretches, we did not move for about 10 minutes. What made it worse many passengers had large bags that they were disembarking with.
  10. If you have such low opinion of this company, why do you even bother with them. It boggles my mind.
  11. The main section of the dinner menu changed from day to day, however the classic (4 entrees) portion remained static every night. The classic were the standby entrees for those diners that did not like the main section entrees. Really, on what vessel. The French Onion Soup was my favorite daily App. Some complained that it was watery, but to me it was always piping hot and delicious.
  12. If something was in the works, I would think there would be some leakage from some of the Ps on this board. Maybe, it'll be a Holiday surprise.✨⛄
  13. Conversely, there's less contribution that Royal has to make if there's a shortfall in the total employee fund.🤣
  14. It's added to your invoice and the entire balance of invoice is paid when due which is usually 90 days prior to sail.
  15. Not in my case. Just the solo supplement and balcony discounts are identifiable in $ savings and not subjective.
  16. Needs to speak to the Headwaiter. My granddaughter has allergies, and each night her mother went over the next evening menu with the HW and made changes if needed.
  17. Went to the Celebrity board and the feeling is quite mixed. Some are happy, some are guarded optimistic, some are taking a wait and see attitude, and some are pessimistic, more in that the video does not touch on quality. Most were happy that Celebrity felt the criticism and pressure and needed to make the change.
  18. Sorry, December 2024 vs December 2023,
  19. As a D+ with 340 points I estimate that my C&A benefit is more than $1G when one considers, the balcony and solo discount, 5 drinks, 2 days of internet, BOGO, free wash and fold, 2 bottles of wine, and many other benefits.
  20. Do you remember those toll booths that weren't attended, and if one was short on coins, the Parkway provided envelopes for submitting toll payments. Wonder how many honest passengers actually submitted payments. Not to be confused with the gratuity envelopes.🤣
  21. Just wondering, someone posted that NCL calls it a service charge and it's $20 pp/pd. Does NCL allow removal of this charge. I'm assuming that it is listed as a line on the invoice.
