What is best way to get to airport from cruise terminal in San Juan? Does Windstar offer transfers direct to airport?
-
Will be disembarking Pride in San Juan on March 17th. Can I safely book a flight departing SJU at noon?

Here is a link to the current dinner menu for Atlantide. Lots of complaints about it being on seven day rotation. Not a problem for us. Lots of choices over course seven days! https://cliff.smugmug.com/Travel/Cruises/Muse-Menu/i-pj762XH

I really apologize, but I can't equate your ID with a face or name. Would you send me an email cliff.jensen@yahoo.com
Would like to follow up with info which might offend staunch Seabourn fans.

Cliff - are you doing another cruise after the Muse?
Three weeks on Windstar Pride late Feb which will be casual. Have pleasant memories of our times on the "little sisters". Hoping Silversea is maintaining dress code. Might try Viking next year if Muse is a disappointment.

You can usually board from 12 noon, rooms are normally ready around 2pm. You can have lunch, explore or just chill with a drink or three.

Thanks - I was hoping that would be the case.

Our reservation shows boarding beginning at 2:00 PM. Is it possible to board earlier than that understanding we would have to wait for our room to be ready?

What about using for wifi?

Can a onboard credit be used for the daily tipping charge?

We will be on the Dec 18th Holiday Cruise. Interested to know if tuxes and gowns are common on formal nights. We are extremely disappointed with no real dress code on Seabourn and miss the opportunity to dress formally. Hopefully Silversea passengers will be more like we were accustomed to prior to the move on the part of Seabourn to the mass market.

Seabourn won't be Seabourn if all they offer are Encore and Ovation - to me, for sure. So if this rumor of selling off the Odyssey class ships ever come to pass, well, I would not return. (If anyone has a clue who might be the buyer, please let me know!)
I understand fully how the launch of Encore and its different "character" and style have led lots of us to question what Seabourn is doing with their brand. But since we are booked out one full year frim now on the 3 Odyssey class ships and there is no hard information about change - much less change at the top - Seabourn remains our line of choice. Let's see what happens to Seabourn's plans generally, itineraries and pricing in several months!
Best of luck Cwisleman as you cruise on other lines and I hope we hear from you about those adventures.
Happy and healthy sailing!
Thanks, Always enjoy reading your posts

Actually I am starting to wonder whether Seabourn have any idea where they are going next. However they would be crazy to sell the Odyssey ships and leave themselves with just two. There are plenty of larger ships and the competition must be great at that end of the market. Windstar are doing well because they have grasped that what a lot of people want are smaller ships.
Having spent my working career with a large corporation I learned the only thing that matters is the bottom line. Seabourn now falls under Holland America in the Carnival Corp organization. Following is a link to an interesting article re: Holland America and Windstar: Arnold Donald wasn't paid $10 million last year for thinking small! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windstar_Cruises

In your opinion, what does this move by Graham signify in terms of Seabourn's ships' kitchens?
Happy and healthy sailing!
Really don't know about Seabourn. Hope they can get their act together again, but suspect they will sell Odyssey class ships once the Ovation is in service. John Delany is making his presence known at Windstar. Have also always appreciated Guenter's abilities. We have decided to go back to Windstar. Will also try Silversea Muse for more "formal" cruising. All the best to you Markham.

Sure hope this is true! After 650 sailed days on Seabourn we have called it quits with them and their no dress code enforecement attitude.

Seabourn is part of Carnival and the size of ships, number of passengers and revenue to the Corporation comes from the larger ships. If you watch as the schedules come out for the second half of 2018 you will see that they schedule the larger ships first into the better ports. Carnival probably reserves space in ports around the World using its Corporate size to get the best rates. Seabourn is always the last to come out with schedules. Seabourn operations are now handled by Holland America and they are in the process of merging Holland America and Princess together.

Interested to know who Handre has as assistant cruise director(s).

Met a fellow here in Fl that took a private tour in Aqaba off one of Seabourn's sister ships (HA) two years ago and the five of them were kidnapped! He thinks a ransom was paid and the ship waited for them to be released and then sped out of port without a pilot. We have been there a couple of times, once on an extended land based trip and later on the Seabourn Sojourn in 2014 and found the city safe and interesting, so very surprised to hear about this guy's experience.

Also, Annabelle Wright left Seabourn.

I will try to post something and maybe even a bit of video.
A hard job but someone has to do it :)
Henry :)
Also curious to hear who is assisting Handre.

Encore on the way to Athens this morning. Hope someone will do some live posting on cruise to Dubai on the 4th, or maybe one of the TA's currently on board.

Wondering why Silversea has not published itineraries for 2018. Particularly interested in Muse in January
