Good morning all. We tender in to Great Harbor today. While in school, I worked on a charter fishing boat and made several trips here. Great memories 😆. The halibut was a big hit in Waterside last night. Chiefs’ game was on ESPN last night, no Peacock blackout outside USA I guess? The whole ship was very chilly last night. We will be searching for the perfect Tshirt and some Painkillers🍹. Hugs, G

Another morning. Saturday, I believe. I figured out Airdrop for picture transfer.😆 But still can’t get them into a post! 😩 St. Barts today. I’ll be checking on Heidi Klum and her sun burn. David and Roniel have been meeting me at the Market place to help me get the best 6am coffee in the Caribe. When I thank a crew teammate, more often than not, they thank us for coming back on board. It takes such dedication to leave your home and family to work on a Cruise boat, I couldn’t do it, even when I wore a younger man’s clothes… It’s 8 below in Denver. Hi guys…I just can’t seem to grasp the issue with synchronization of photos on IPad and iPhone… Got a chance to ride the tender in and back and practice my poor French while here in Les Saintes. Very cool little islet just off Guadeloupe. As we left Antigua last night we saw a “house” fire…I can’t get the pic so here’s a frigate bird instead. I went to the future cruises desk this AM and reviewed future cruises with them. I was told the bookings for 2024-2025 are very strong, plenty space available still, but they expect to be very busy as the Crystals come back from others cruise lines. For instance, Christmas’24 is almost full🎅🏻. See you in the lunch line😘🍷 G

And a wonderful morning to all! We’re in Antigua today, day 6 and all is finally well as we slip into our routine. Having survived the initial rapture of being back on board and gorging with food and drink, my Apple Watch tells me that I have achieved an acceptable level of slothful exercise.✅ I continue to ask various Crew about how they came to be on Crystal. One fellow has Crystal sister who married a Crystal guy and now he and his Broinlaw are together on Serenity. It really is a family. Happy day😘

Yes, they have a tv with the menus by the Waterside entrance. I haven’t seen hard copies at the bar.

Time changed ahead an hour as we sail leisurely to St Thomas. As my buddy Neil Sedaka said, “Waking up is hard to do…” Major issue with the menu tonight. Mushroom soup bowl, liver, short ribs, lamb chops ALL on the list…I’ll get an extra side of each😆! Salad can wait.

Best night and day thus far! 6am coffee was the best. Ran the gauntlet to get into the Grand Turk plaza next to Margaritaville. Had a dish of sherbet and listened to a guy to reggae versions of everything 😎. Back on boat and had a fine salad and leftover veal ragout…OMG so good. NAP Swim Sail away was a teary moment, Wonderful World and Over the Rainbow just get me. Dined on Die Schnitzel mit a rendition of German tater salad. Again and more please. We went to see the show, James Foxx does Billy Joel and he rocked it along with the band and dancing Uptown Girls and Boys. Don’t miss it! Back to Main dining to get dessert, Citrus trifle…thanks Kasa! And we have a Sea Day before hitting the USVI. I think we’re stopping somewhere today…Turks and Caicos maybe? For moi, the ship is my destination but since we’re docked today, we’ll wander off sometime and help the local economy. (Probably a comma splice in there, but Mrs Fish will forgive me😆) it is a simple joy to have Mark Farris playing for us in the Saloon. He brings back so many memories of singing, hootin’ and hollering. Recognition of so many couples wedded for 40, 50 and yup…60 years. Amazing😘. We are beginning to get into our normal ship-board routine now and the Lido Team keeps us in beverages without missing a beat. I get a bit misty eyed seeing just how dedicated the crew is. Everyone has a smile and wants to help. They’re just as glad to be home as we are.

I guess so…it’s got beds and a potty so we’re good!😆🍷

Sun comin’ up and cakes on the griddle… Super supper last night, Ahi and veal was delish. Early bird coffee, very strong so stir it up. There are 599 Crystalites aboard. Crew tells me the Christmas Cruise was fully booked with a big waitlist! So far, everyone I have asked is a return crew member. Evidently, A&K sent out emails early in ‘23 to see who wanted to rejoin and the response was huge. More evidence , to me at least, that A&K is serious about these two boats. We agree. Easiest boarding ever. Room key didn’t print correctly so the butler took care of getting me a new one. Can’t wait for Louis and sail away😘
