My mother always said that travel should be an adventure...and this life has given us such wonderful times. Five grandkids, happy retirement and opportunities for more travel. Our family has been doing Crystal, our first trip 35 years ago(?) was on Harmony. We survived the 'rona and got back everything we had laid out for a Med trip in May 2020 and a full family Christmas Cruise in '21. Today we begin our first "excursion" and get to DIA and stay at the Westin night before our Thursday 0700 flight to Miami. This prestaging at DIA means we dont need to get up at 0300 etc. We have a sitter for the alpacas and silly dogs and hope someone will shovel the snow that's coming😃. I will do my best to report back on our experiences on board. Happy New Year to all. Geo

Just get on the boat. All the meals are fantastic. The service is awesome. All it takes is one trip for you to be Crystalized. You can dress up as much as you like or not. Room service is open 24/7, especially enjoy a Turkey club at midnight ⭐️ The spirits and wines that are included are quite satisfying, if you want super alcohol brands, just ask. G

Symphony all the way... The stairs on Serenity Lido deck pool zone are built backwards!!😃 Avenue is better because of the column on Serenity... But, I'll get on which ever one lets me on G

Crystal is all about customer service. i wanted some red roses for the wife at New Year’ Eve. we’re sorry sir, we have only yellow.. Oh that will be fine, I say. NY Eve arrives and RED roses appear! The next day I inquire about them, a crew member was ashore and found red ones for us. Made us happy.

If you can find Smithsonian channel, find Season 6 Episode 1 for Crystal Serenity pre-Covid cruise from Sydney to Singapore…😘🍷🥂 Did not hear Satchmo on sail away☹️. G

I have no idea, didn’t even know or ask. I filed all that Moeker stuff and hoped for the best. When we booked our Jan trip, my TA said Crystal wanted to know if we wanted to use any of the credits, good til 12/025. G

We had 5 staterooms booked and down payments made for Christmas Cruise 2021. Total: $15K (round numbers) After a few months of “discussion” with Visa we received a full refund to our card. Now we have booked for Jan 2024 and have 5 future cruise credits of just under $3K each. Seems like we came out way ahead in the deal. See you in the lunch line! G

We still have the old Crystal beach bags and leather luggage tags from trivia. my old white Symphony hat is now orangish…

What are the observations about the shopping in the stores? Any cool shirts, hats and shot glasses? what @bout the “necessity” store for headaches and band aids? Please advise. Jan5baby! G.

Long Beach, Panama Canal Cruise...Jan 2012 Won big in the casino. Ate much food.

I bet there will be art sales and gold chain by the foot in the ex-casino space. Poker playing dogs and Elvis on black felt. Maybe even t-shirts, 5 for a dollar! 🎉🥃🎰

We will try out NC once without the casino. It's all part of the cruise experience, lights, luxury and libations... Are you feeling lucky, Mr. Bond?

We always enjoyed dinner and a show, then stop by and play some ♣️ cards ♦️ with a night cap. Always felt a nice sense of luxury and mystery watching the high rollers. Seems like a mistake, however, with feedback they may reevaluate later…hence the Lounges for the ancients to share wisdoms.

Who is going on the first "new" trip? Marseille is lovely in the summer. We are going to need exceptional reportage on the first trip so if any of y'all are sailing, be ready to report!! We're going to wait, there is a Miami trip to nowhere on Jan 5, 2024 that we have our eyes on. No casino yet, but I suspect they are rounding up a vendor still. The space is not suitable for basketball for sure...no head room for a three pointer. I really hope they have the mushroom soup bowl, my efforts just don't rise to the occasion. G&J
