  1. This trip to Hawaii we are spending about $1500 extra. We have OBC of $600 (from military and TA) so another $1000 or so we will spent. That includes our shore excursions, $200 for casino, two nights at the specialty restaurants, coke card for my husband and gratuities. I found two coffee cards on ebay for $25 but did not include that as a cost. Total for the trip and expenses will be about $6500. We will be on the 15 day Hawaiian trip in a mini suite. Comes to about $215 per day per person. If we were to stay in a nice hotel, factor in food and entertainment you cannot beat this price.

  2. My behavior is not dictated by what I wear or don't wear. I agree with what others are posing though. If you have rules then abide by them and if not, get rid of the rules. I will enjoy my cruise whether you wear shorts at the table or not. I dress up for myself and my husband and what others feel about it is their business. But please don't have different rules on certain nights or for certain people. We are all on the cruise to have fun and when the rules are not enforced or enforced haphazardly then it ruins it for us. With that being said, don't worry what others are doing or wearing as it does not impact the enjoyment you should be having.

  3. On our first cruise with Princess we were on the Diamond, her second voyage to Alaska ten years ago. We were in a mini suite and we were upgraded to a presidential suite (not sure if they call them that now but that is what it was called back then). I always wondered if it was because we were first timers, celebrating our 20th anniversary or that my husband was active duty Air Force. On our first cruise with RCL we were also upgraded to a very large suite. Whatever the reason I love it!!! Would love to be upgraded this time (Hawaii on the Grand end of April) but it looks like everything above a mini suite is already booked. Oh well, will have to try again.

  4. My husband and I, along with our 26 year old son and his wife, WERE scheduled to go on the EPIC in May from Barcelona to celebrate our 27th anniversary and their 1st anniversary. WE had booked a beautiful Garden Villa (whomever got out room enjoy) had our tours ready and were just waiting for May. But alas, due to Air Force orders (husband is a Colonel in the AF) we had to cancel our once in a life time vacation. Fortunately we were able to still help our kids go on the cruise (but not in the Villas) and will have to live vicariously through their trip. Reading your post, I know that we will have to see if one day we can make it. Best of luck to all of you on your Epic adventures.
