  1. I did this last year. It was great. It was way cheaper for us to book one room that included 4 wristbands to Atlantis than it was to book 4 of us on the ship's excursion to Atlantis.

The ship docked at Nassau and we were probably off by 9am. We got a taxi and took a 10 minute ride to Comfort Inn. Everyone on the ship doing Atlantis thru the ship excursion was boarding a big bus......the arrived probably 45 minutes after us!

We checked into the Comfort Inn - now probably 9:15am. I told them we wouldn't even need the room at all, we were going straight to Atlantis and back to our ship. She handed me Atlantis vouchers and we walked across the parking lot to Atlantis. It's literally across a parking lot, not far at all. The walk was less than 5 minutes from one hotel to the next.

Then we get to Atlantis with our voucher, we head to a desk where we turned the voucher in for 4 wrist bands. You can get only 4 wristbands for each room booked thru Comfort Inn. Like I said, we were there, already down the water slides and enjoying our day and 45 minutes later in comes the bus load of people from our cruise ship.

The Comfort Inn passes are the way to go!

That is great to hear. I booked a room at the Comfort Inn for the upcoming Easter Break in April 2018. There are no day passes available from our ship or through Atlantis so this was the only option to get to Atlantis Aquadventure. The cost was approximately the same through the ship, I just wasn't fast enough to book through the ship since I didn't think we needed to reserve so soon. It must be because it is the week of Easter. Nice to hear we may beat the crowd too.

  2. We now have $69 OBC thanks to the sale back to our account to spend. The pone agent from Oregon was really helpful. She cancelled and rebooked and now we can use the extra $$$

Our First Night Done Right Package went from the $30 we paid to $40 so we got a good deal there.

Do yourself a favor and get your savings or book new excursion before the sale ends today.

Yesterday hold times were 2 hours today I got through in 5 minutes.

They can reuse your OBC right away.

Thanks so much! I just saved $31 on the the excursions I already booked plus booked the discounted price for Chops. My savings pretty much paid for one meal at Chops.

  3. They do have assigned check in times but no one in the terminal looked at that.

We arrived by car at 10:30 after heeding the advise here on CC. It was the best advise.

We drove into the terminal and waited behind a few cars to drop off luggage with the porters then proceeded to the parking garage. We entered the terminal and all the check in people before security had groups of people with them so we went through security and then got on the regular checkin line. We waited about five minutes in that line and after we were checked in we were directed to board the ship. We walked right on. I think we were on board by 10:55. I did notice people that got there earlier were seated in the waiting area and were boarding by groups. 10:30 arrival was perfect! Thanks CC

Thanks Jersey Girl. I love CC!

  4. I would like to get on the ship as early as possible for our Easter cruise. I am a little confused. Are there assigned times to check in or can we get in line early and get on early? We have been sailing lately with Celebrity so this is our first RCCL cruise in a while We are gold members. Will be traveling with teenagers and seem to have missed the sign up for iFly and Northstar.

Any suggestions on the earliest time we can get in line at the port and get on? Thanks. Christine.

  5. So after looking into private tours and getting pricing I am rethinking a DIY day for Naples port. Please tell me if I am too crazy for thinking this! The money savings is about €230 so that is a factor. Traveling will be myself (42), my mom (a mostly fit 62), DS 13 & niece 11 (ages at time of travel). We have traveled on public transportation in both England and France (bus, train, metro).

    So, the plan would be:

    1. Off the ship as close to 7 am as we can

    2. SITA bus from Nuovo Marina stop to Pompei 8am departure

    3. Arrive 8:35 am and walk to Pompei-Scavi train station

    4. Buy tour from Busvia del Vesuvio for 9 am departure

    5. Return approximately Noon

    6. quick bite to eat

    7. Visit Pompei for a couple of hours and depart by 3:30 pm

    8. SITA bus from Pompei at 4 pm

    9. Arrive Naples at 4:35 pm

Give it to me straight people and thank you for any help!

How did this work out for you? I am looking into doing the same thing next month. Any additional pointers? Were you able to get back to port by 4:30?

    Christine.
