  1. Can't decide on the two. A little background.

Will be first time to St. Thomas. Coming in on Celebrity. Looking to rent a couple chairs, umbrella and get some drinks. Will be in port from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Quick lunch at the beach. Don't want some place totally remote. Would like it to be at least a somewhat active beach, music, etc.

What am I looking at for cab fee to both beaches? Time to both beaches?

Much appreciated for any help. I am researched on the forum here but just looking for a llittle more info.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. If you are a Captain's Club member, the A1 cabin costs the same as an A2. We'll book an A1 if it's on the slant of the hump with the extra large balcony. On our recent Equinox cruise, the pool deck noise wasn't that noticeable most of the time. We've also booked an A1 hump cabin for our upcoming Reflection cruise. Reflection has an extra deck so we will have a cabin above us instead of the pool, so it's definitely worth it on that ship.

Ahhh... Guess I was just considering Silhouette. Looking at the layout though I was thinking besides being midship and possibly being on the slant I couldn't see the point of paying more while being under the pool.

    Thanks for the input.

  3. OK... Sailing first time with Celebrity in March. Booked an A2 cabin (1527). Was curious why would anyone book an A1 at a higher price with the location under the pool? It seems like the A2 cabins have a much better location.

So for Aqua class cruisers why would you choose an A1 cabin over A2? Just curious if I was missing something.

  4. One more on my behalf if I could. If I have an aqua class cabin should I worry about specialty dining or will Blu be enough?

And with Blu I see it being healthy cuisine... will I get enough food or are the portions small?

  5. Curious because neither are showing up online for our March 26th cruise. It was booked through a TA if that matters. Just want to make sure that those perks do happen. I think it was the drink package and $150/person OBC. I see passengers names, dining time but no drink package or OBC listed. First cruise with Celebrity so not familiar with how they handle OBC and drink packages as far as managing reservation online.

Thanks in advance for any information.

  6. Check out Fort Lauderdale Inn and Cruise Port. Soon to be 4 Points

    By Sheraton

Shuttle from airport and to port

    Rate is around 140.00

Took your advice and booked this hotel. They do not offer free transportation to the port but from airport to hotel. I think they said $6/person to cruise port. My rate was $195 + tax. About the cheapest I could find.

  7. Reading with great interest as we will be sailing March 26th on this ship.

We have air and cabin (aqua class) but still need hotel. We get in late the night before so just need a place to crash. Staying one day after the cruise also.

Will be watching the replies in your review. Thanks for taking the time to submit the review.

  8. Question concerning carry on luggage if I could.

I know I can bring on one 12pack of pop as can my wife. Also, one bottle of wine/champagne. Can I put two 12 packs of pop and 2 bottles of wine or do they have to be separated? Also, if I have a carry-on of clothes/etc can I also bring this as a second carry-on? And do all carry-ons have to be tagged or just checked luggage tagged?

Thanks in advance for any help.
  9. Now just remove the "everyone in the cabin over 21 must purchase" policy and this will be the PERFECT drink package!

I agree totally. My wife doesn't drink. For me to get the package she would also have to even though she doesn't drink. Crazy. No way I can justify buying 2 with only 1 drinking.
