That's good news. I'm gonna go out on a ledge here but Gaaaaaary is a pig. Although I may have said something similar in Season 1. Daisy us starting to act like Hannah, just before she was canned. Informational tidbit here... my best friend's daughter is in FLL going through yacht training right now. She said if anyone were to act like this bunch no one would be hired. This malarkey is just for the show.

Oh my. She is adorable.

I'll have to check out cuddle duds. I have the long unders and snuggle tops that I love. I used to have a heated mattress pad that took the edge off crawling into cold sheets (awesomeness). It quit working and haven't found a replacement. Winters are cold here!

Jewel is going to Iceland next June, round trip from Amsterdam. We're booked & can't wait.

So this might sound icky BUT... when my niece and nephew were little they would catch lightning bugs. When the bugs died they would smear something from the bugs on their skin and fingernails. They get a kick out of glowing in the dark.

I hope your knee gets better with that marrow cell transplant. Amazing what can be done now. Nice to have brother who's a doctor. Rant away...that's why we're family.

Sounds yummy and easy to do. I don't make meatballs but do a 3-meat sauce instead with Hamburger, Italian sausage and Pepperoni. Homemade sauce (or gravy) smells so heavenly!

Recipe please, if you wish. I make a pretty good sauce (if I say so myself) but I don't use wine. I also got tired of constantly stirring it and still scorching it so I bake it for hours to reduce it. Yours looks amazing.

We went for our daily walk today. Weather was near perfect. Saw this cute guy on one of the fishing docks at one of the lakes we frequent. I got about 4 feet away. Pretty tame. Some of the kids fishing were feeding him their throwbacks. I also caught this kingfisher just perfect! He speared a tiny sunfish. You have to look pretty carefully to see it in perfect position for his meal.

Wow...that year went by so fast. Happy birthday Lizzie. You are beautiful.

What a difference a day makes. Yesterday due to the fires we had to keep the windows closed and took our walk inside at a local mall. Today the air quality alert was dropped so we went to our favorite lake for our daily walk. Downtown Minneapolis in the background is visible. OK, we don't have the biggest downtown but it's visible today. We also saw this great heron fly by and land in a tree right by us.

Bad weather day here. Started off with air alerts. It's very hazy due to those fires. My eyes are feeling it! Here's a pic of the freeway near our house. That road sign is only 1/4 mile away. We live only about 20 city blocks from downtown Minneapolis and you can't even see it now. There should be tall buildings there. As bad as it is here, I can't imagine what it's like way north.
