We booked a hotel last year in Earls Court- the K and K george. It was in walking distance to the tube. We like to walk in a city so we walked to Kensington, Kings Road and Portobello Market from the hotel. When we went to the London Eye we took the tuble because of time . The K and K George offers a very nice breakfast. Check out their reviews on trip advisor.

Westminter is more centrally located but Earls Court is alot cheaper. I would not hesitate to book there again

I have been on the Silhouette in the Med and loved it .I am debating between doing the Silhouette in Aug for the 14 day or the 12 day Royal Princess in June. Personally, I do not like the 12 day Silhouette itinerary but not sure how I feel about going in Aug. Most of my Europe travel has been mid May to early July.

Dermot, do you know if this is a new place to dock or have the ships docked there for awhile? Princess is showing it for their 2015 sailing but the 2014 sailing just says Dublin.

It says Dun Laoghair. The 2014 cruises just say Dublin. Is this a new dock? How far is it from the city center? It also says it is a tender port. Do the ships currently tender or do they dock?

would you choose? We have two sea days on a 12 day cruise.

We were on the feb 1 sailing of the Reflection. First sea day had a lot of movement to make it not enjoyable on the pool deck due to the wind but it was fine indoors.

I have done Aqua twice, first on the Silhouette and then Reflection. We loved Aqua on the Silhouette which is why we booked it on Reflection. Did not love it on Reflection. For $500 I would say save the money and get a specialty restaurant pkg.

We were on Feb 1 reflection and we got water daily.

I have been trying to cruise the British Isles for a number of years and something has always come up. I had always planned to go in June but it seems Celebrity is offering a cruise out of Amsterdam that overnights in Dublin that sounds interesting and that is in Aug. My husband says he would like to go to Amsterdam since we were only there for one day about 8 years ago and were in London last year however their June sailing is not as nice as the Aug one nor is it as nice as Princess which leaves out of Southampton..

Would most things tourists want to do still be opened in August?

And is it usually more crowded than in. June? Thanks

We planned on a British Isles cruise for June 2013. Comparing Princess and Celebrity for that time Princess was one day more for $1000 per couple more. We decided to go on Celebrity and save the money.Ultimately we had to cancel it.

Planning for 2015 also.We will wait for pricing and then we will pick. Can't go wrong with either as both lines are using their newer ships.Did the Silhouette in 2012 for an Adriatic cruise and loved it
