  1. Was on last weeks sailing of the Reflection and booked the Summit for next year but that was mostly because that was what my friends wanted. The Summit has a much nicer itinerary, the Reflection is a much nicer ship. Depends on what is important to you. If you decide on the Reflection be aware

That the first sea day is not as nice as the sea days on a Southern route. On our Reflection sailing it was so windy it was unpleasant sitting on deck. We were in Aqua so I wound up going to the Persian Gardens to get out of the wind. The staff told me that is not unusual for those sailings

  2. We were on the Reflection for the Super Bowl and they made the Super Bowl night an optional formal night rather then reschedule it to Monday since we were not scheduled to arrive in port till 3. Monday is a standard port day on the Summit so did they have it that night or did they keep it on Sunday.?

We are on the Summit next year in a reg balcony cabin(this year we were in Aqua so it did not matter to us) and need to plan what to do about formal clothes. Figured I'd ask now while it is still fresh in people's minds.

  3. I was on the Feb 1 sailing and thought the crew was wonderful. The only one who was not friendly was the one who put the seapass card in on disembarkation. Usually they say goodbye and wish you a safe trip home. She did not say a word and had a sour puss on her face.

The first day at sea was very windy to the point it was unpleasant to be on deck. Maitre'd said the Sundays are usually not that great so anyone on an eastern Caribbean should be aware of that. All the other days were fine.

  4. Just off the Reflection. On the first night they offered 50% off to those dining in Blu.

If you have a reason to want all the specialty restaurants you might want to consider a regular balcny and with the money you save buy a specialty restaurant package. That is our plan for the next cruise. It was our second time in Aqua and Blu seemed better on the Silhouette than on the Reflection

  5. Just returned from Reflection sailing in Blu. Blu was much better on the Silhouette last year. Menu was heavy on duck and they were not as eager to arrange for something off menu as they were in the past. . I would spend less for the cabin and eat in specialty restaurants instead unless the difference was less than $50. Pp

  6. We ate in the Lawn Club Grill on the Silhouette and everyone who ordered the veal said it was the best veal chop they ever had. It was a 12 day cruise and had we gone there in the beginning of our cruise we would have done it again. Leaving on the Reflection next week and it is the only Specialty restaurant we plan on going to. My group certainly thinks it is worth it!

  7. We did a cruise that left May 18 on the Silhouette a few years ago and the weather was quite cool. It did not warm up until the last couple of days of a 12 day cruise. We have also been on a number of Med cruises in late June/early July where it was uncomfortably hot for touring. I have never done early September as work schedules do not allow it but from all I read it is a lovely time for the Med.

Can you find out when the formal nights will be on the Feb 1 sailing.? Will they switch it from Sunday to another day because of the Super Bowl? I made specialty reservations for Monday and if the make that the formal night I will switch my specialty reservation. thanks
