We visited Coco Cay May 2019,
Totally different from the old Coco Cay. We had a fantastic time with the family (group of 11)
We purchased the water park tickets and spent most of day there except 2 hours that
we took to explore the island. We used the tran to go from one side of the island
to the other because it got too hot out there. It runs very frequently (great idea) but it's very easy to
walk from one side to the other. There were plenty of chairs and some umbrellas. We were there early
and we had no problem finding a good spot with umbrellas both at the water park and the
other side of the island by the beach. The lagoon is pretty long and spacious, and plenty of chairs to sit
around, this side is free. Also there is a play area for the kids, it has a large ship that looks like
a small water park for them, very cute, also free.
So there is plenty to see and do even if you don't pay for the water park.
We were there on Mariner Of the Seas, and the only ship at port.
Not sure how it would be with more than one ship at port, but our time there was
very relaxing and did not have to worry about finding a good spot.
The food from both the snack shack from water park and the Skippers Grill were great
the Skippers grill has lots of choices from fresh fruits and salads to steak sandwiches, hotdogs
hamburger, and some vegetarian options. Also water, tea, fruit punch, and flavored water.
Beautiful food spread. Just loved it.
The Snack shack at the water park, you can order fresh burgers from the grill, crispy chicken sandwiches,
hotdogs, mozzarella sticks, fries, salads, funnel cakes, brownies, cookies. (funnel cakes were so
freshe and good)
It was fantastic and all free included with in your cruise price, except the bar drinks and bottled water,
these are for a charge of course. Unless you have the drink package.
Hope you have a fantastic time there!

I saw Cats on the Oasis and loved it. During the intermission 1/3 if the people walked out, It is not your typical broadway show. The music and sets are amazing; but for those who do not understand it is based on poems by TS Elliott it is confusing.
Agree.
We walked out for that reason. We saw the show on Oasis back in October 2018,
Even though the show and set were great, I thought it was hard to follow.

Well , the more money they get the more they want.
It's all about the mighty dollar.

Loved Boston! For such a large city, it is so clean. Everything downtown is close together so it’s easily walkable. Since we had never been there before, the hop on hop off trolley seemed like the most practical idea. It gave us the opportunity to see everything around the city, plus we got discounts off several sightseeing locations with our trolley tickets. You can go to their website to see if you think it would work for you. It’s really not necessary to book through the cruise line. (They run all day long and they really are the exact same thing. Just watch the time and get yourself back before all aboard.)
I’m not sure if I can post the link or the website, but go to the site for Old Town Trolley it’s at trolley tours.com with no spaces. Go to the one for Boston and you can see all of the trolley stops. Hopefully this helps you!
Yes, very helpful information you gave us,
Thank you so much for your response.

I love those photos from Boston, specially the market and the skyline
when you were leaving in the evening. So gorgeous!
I have never been to Boston before,
so I'm looking forward to visiting on our upcoming cruise.
What was the highlight of your visit to Boston?
Any not to miss spots?
Thank!

Thank you for your reviews,
I'm really enjoying the reviews you are posting and the beautiful photos.
Question for you,
We will be on Anthem in 3 weeks. Since this is a last minute booking we missed out
on booking a reservations for the Northstar and the Ifly. Did you book in advance for
both of these? Hoping we can get a spot once we are onboard, but not sure of it.
Thanks in advance.

Ahhh Freedom of the seas!!
So happy for you. One on my favorite ships. I love the crew there, very nice people.
Our last time on Freedom was 2017 when she was still in Ft Lauderdale, Fl.
Can't wait to sail out of Puerto Rico.
Enjoy your trip.

Harmony for me, great ship.
We have been on all three Oasis, Allure and Harmony.
We have experienced that the crowds on the first day tend to stay heavy
in certain areas, some people just don't know that there are
so many other areas of the ship they can grab a bite to eat, and they tend
to stick with the Windjammer. These ships are so spacious, after the
first day I think people start to spread out better throughout the ship
and it does not feel as crowded. We had a wonderful
cruise on Harmony. Younger crowd too.
This would be my choice.

Good info.
Good to know for future cruises.
Thanks

We were on Harmony in November 2016 with our family, (8 of us)
4 kids ages 5, 12,15 and the oldest who had just turned 18.
The 15 year old really enjoyed the teen's club, plenty for him to do
and that's why he loved it. He was always involved with doing something
with the other teens his age. For 18 year old, this was his first time not being able to
be with his brother at the teen's club like other cruises we have been on (since he had
just turned 18) he was a little disappointed.
He was able to find other things to do, but really missed being with his brother
in the teen's club on this cruise.
If you have been on Allure and Oasis before, then it's basicly the same thing, except for
some of the main attractions like the Abbiss (slide), Escape the Rubicon (puzzle room)
and the new production shows. There is plenty for the teenagers to do on this ship.
The sports court, flowrider, mini golf, zip line, the Abbiss, just to name a few.
We really enjoyed the 3-D movies and the Escape room as a family.
We all had a great time on Harmony. Food was good, and the service from our
waiters and cabin attendant were outstanding.
We chose Boardwalk balcony cabins and it came with a super nice perks.
We had a free soft drink package for 2 free, and dinner at Johnny Rockets for 4 free.
This was by far one of the best cruises we've had on Royal Caribbean.
3 of us had the wristband from previous cruises and all we had to do was
take it to the front desk to get it reprogramed, no charge.
So it's worth it to pay for it, you can re-use it on other cruises.

Here's a throw back from when we sailed to Alaska in August 2006 on Serenade of the Seas. We had late supper which started at 8:30 and on the night of the buffet they asked if we could vacate a little early so they could set things up. Viewing started at 11pm and the destructive consumption began at midnight.
Here are a few pics from our first and only midnight buffet. The line of people weaving its way through the MDR around the displays of ice carvings and food presentations.
We didn't take a ton of pictures but those around of us did. Some food was obviously for presentation in carvings and other items were plated for consumption.
We returned at midnight to see what was happening and you would have sworn that some of cruisers hadn't eaten in 3 weeks not just 3 hours. Prime example - the photo above with the cooked chickens with one playing a guitar. We saw a man with at least 1/3 of one of those chickens on their plate, with lemon head and olive eyes. Obviously, they didn't realize that chicken was for "presentation".
It was hilarious and frightening at the same time. I'd love to scope one of these now as it could be even funnier than bad karaoke.

Wow ,quite a spread there.
Thanks, very nice pictures.
Some of our early on cruises we have been on had the midnight buffets,
with the ice carvings, food and such, but not as fancy as yours.
The food on those pictures look so scrumptious!!

So much looking forward to the new ship booking (itinerary)
to open. Wondering if it's going to be released this March too.

We were on Harmony this past November with the
family. We all loved the Zipline, 3D movies, the Abyss slide and the puzzle room.
You pay a little extra for the puzzle room but it's a lot of fun.
Shows were pretty good too specially Greece.

We were on Harmony this past November,
We had a group of 8, Park Cafe was perfect for
everyone, we loved the choices did not have to wait
too long to get our food. Very good food.

You are in for a treat on Harmony.
Serenade has nothing to compare with the experience
on Harmony. Harmony it's an awesome ship.
We just got back from a cruise on Harmony a week ago
and we loved every minute of it.
Go on deck 16, entrance to the Abyss, great views from there!!
Looking forward to your video.
Thanks!

Just off Harmony a week ago.
The service we got specially in the main dining
was outstanding, Tsahai our server was amazing.
Food was amazing. No complaints here.
Beautiful ship, great service.
There was no ice machine in some of the areas
like Sorentos, but the water dispenser had ice in it,
water or flavored water were cold, just no separate
ice machine.

Yay!!!!!
Can't wait!!!!
-
Thanks,
I knew it was around the $13 dollar range

from the back of the ship.
Ahhh, so nice!!!!!

Do you need reservations in advance for the escape room
experience???
Thank you all for all your photos and postings, it has been
very interesting.
Really loved the pictures of walking the Atlantic.
Enjoy your last week onboard everyone!!!
Perfect Day at CocoCay - on a budget

The drink dispensers I saw were by the snack shack or by the picnic area, even an ice machine.
I thought this was a very nice addition.
And yes everything is served on disposables.
