Last note; On Discovery Princess L 107 and similar cabins up front - there is no teak furniture, cushions or Chase loungers. A table 2 chairs and ottomans is standard. We asked and were told cushion loungers are reserved for full suites only. I don’t give up easy so I asked the room steward to check with his supervisor about a pool chair plus $20 it showed up lol. Now it occurred to me. I could locate one of the adaptable cushions for movies under the stars. And Bam improvising .

That is an on board credit by the casino. I thought it was for casino play, it's not but if everyone thinks that it is they have done what they wanted to get you in. I’m currently on grand princess Internet works just fine South Pacific- yesterday I was able to access YouTube TV without even using a VPN but now it says that It can’t get access cause it can’t find my location so I tried to use the VPN did all kinds of work around it’s not working I don’t know if I’m being blocked with a VPN. I don’t remember that every problem before but it was before starlink

I streamed the entire Texas Rangers baseball game through this area without a glitch.. noticed occasionally when I come back to my room, I have to reconnect, probably dropping the signal from one transponder etc

i’ve been cruising for 20 years so to me. Yes, this is not land based but it’s totally fine for everything you would want to do. Including streaming sports, movies, FaceTime, etc..

Grand Princess just south of Honolulu headed for Tahiti multiple tests shows similar results no matter what time of day or night. certainly better than the old days and good enough but considerably slower than land-based lines.

In 20 years on Princesses ships $400 once on slots I donate $100 every cruise when it’s gone I’m gone. The most I’ve seen won was video poker at the bar. Lady bumped me and pointed to her royal straight flush $3700 then complained because they kept 20% back for Uncle Sam lol.

Scanning this thread quickly i would agree that the speeds you can exspect are 2.9mbps and 1.0 and less mbps uploads. Once in a while much faster but not often. Fjords on sky a few weeks back was the same.@ $50 a week for some customers it is the best price at sea. Will test South Pacific next month

In regards to the northern hemispheres, my wife and I just completed a Norwegian fjords cruise on Sky Princess and had excellent Internet the entire time which surprised me. Used an VPN and watched all the games. You would’ve thought in between the mountains we would’ve had no Service, but that wasn’t the case. as an interesting note, when I did do speed checks, they were pinging off of starlink, which I thought was notable

That is an whole different cabin it is as good as a full suite the balcony is super huge strange interior lay out but massive out doors

I will also add that if you book on Marina Level or M - Peeps on the Lido can look down into your outer balcony .. My short video above shows this. 101 and 102 are just a little larger on the terrace

Ironic that after 20+ years sailing with Princess and starting this thread , I booked a cheapy out of Galveston back to back at an SOLO Rate - Jan 29th on Ruby. Could not believe it. I guess they need to raise stock . With $400 on board credit for both plus my CCL $200 bump. They are paying me to go LOL.
