My travel agent was told last week by Celebrity to allow at least 60 days. We have records so no worries about getting the FCC.
-
It does say. $4.95 between 11PM-6 AM. Otherwise free.
-
Thanks. Plan on keeping the same perks. Just worried since I had bought excursions when they were on sale.
-
If you reprice your cruise, do your excursions that were already purchased with OBC stay as is?

is the dinner like a Cagney dinner or just basic mdr food, (only reason I would go is if the food was better)
Three times all in the MDR. First with Chief Engineer. He offered us cappuccino. He gave me his NCL pin. Next with the Staff Captain. He offered us a glass of wine.
last time was with Shore Excursion Manager. As I said regular dining room menus but conversation was stimulating.

Turtles,
Thank you for your reply. The Haven courtyard is not a must for us. We much prefer a larger balcony. As for the perks, we enjoy them but we also know were paying for them. At our age it works for us.
I looked on NCL web site but SF cabins didn't show as being available on deck 10 for our cruise on 3/8/20
We have stayed in 9670 three times on the Gem and once in a cabin on deck10. We preferred the 9670 for the room space instead of the larger balcony. Loved being in the aft. You will enjoy it.

No charge to bring the wine aboard. A corkage fee may be charged if you take the bottle in the dinging rooms. Pour yourself a glass in your stateroom and take it anywhere on the ship. No problem. 🍷
Thank you!!!

We brought 2 bottles in our carry-on and our own wine opener. Our steward got us Reidel stemmed wine glasses and we opened our wine and carried it into dinner. If you ask them to open it, they charge a $25 corkage fee.
Thank you!!!!

have never brought wine so have a couple of questions. Is there a charge and can you only drink the wine in your cabin?

What I did is each night call housekeeping to come get my scooter. They charge it overnight then call in the morning to bring it back. Easy peasy
When you called how long did it take for them to bring the scooter to you?

Is this the same at the Brooklyn/Red Hook cruise terminal?
Since NCL doesn't usually use that port who knows how they will have it set up. You would think it would be the same.

Yeah, I already have a login account. I booked a bunch of excursions already, but nothing available for anything else like spa.
Spa treatments with USA bookings can only be booked on the ship. You should be able to book dining but not all times will be available. You can book both dining and spa treatments the first day.

Last year they made us spill out our water from our water bottles so better drink it at the port.

Activity cards have been around for years. Gifts are getting cheaper but it is fun to get anything. Years ago went on RCL. Our group got a medal for winning trivia. Brother just went on a RCL and got a medal. No change for them.
Much better to get a mug, a shirt, keychain, etc.

Don't expect good binoculars. Husband always brings his.

Sailing with a friend who now sleeps with a Cpap machine. Will a regular 6 foot extension cord be adequate to plug into the outlet in an INSIDE cabin on the Jewel or do we need to pack something longer??
I always bring at least a 6 foot cord. I requested distilled water from the Access department. They recommended bringing at least a 6 foot cord as the outlet is not near the bed. They have cords on board but they are first come first served.

Suites can book at 130 days. Mini suite is considered just a big balcony so 120 days.
When deposits were 90 days we booked at 100 days for suites so before we were paid up.
-
When you pre-book the shore excursions do you need to pay the balance at the time of booking? Or do they just show up on your onboard account? Thanks.
No need to prepay. It will be on your account.

Speaking of CruiseNext......I am sailing on the Breakaway at Thanksgiving, and I already have a Med cruise on the Jade booked for May. If I buy a CruiseNext certificate, can I apply it to that cruise, or are they only good for new bookings?[/quote
Some will say no including when you call NCL but have done it a few times. Told our TA to not accept no and it was used.
-
Thanks! Since he will be barely 20, I don't think he will be that picky, but good to know. I'll warn him, and then if he still wants it he can go to CruiseNext with his father and the signed permission form.
It is one bottle per cabin so there shouldn't be an issue. The steward makes sure it is there.
-
Thanks yes I just checked my cards, nothing pending on any of them.
Something is definitely wrong especially since you cannot pre book massages on NCL.

For the $15 upcahrge... if you make a reservation before the cruise, say 90 days out -
I assume you pay the $15 pp to a credit card (+ maybe tax etc)
If you wait to book Ocean Blue on board... would the $15 pp be available to be charge against OBC instead of to a CC if OBC is available?
Long story short I'm assuming if booking pre-cruise, you can't use OBC... but if booking once on board, the upcharge can be used against OBC - can anyone confirm if this is the case?
Yes you can use your OBC. Booking ahead of time you do get the Pick of dining times. If you have the dining plan and have made all your reservations, there will be no extra charge until you dine since Ocean Blue is ala carte. We usually pick four ala carte restaurants first and then pick Ocean Blue. We then cancel one of the restaurants when we board. That way we can use the OBC.

Just wondering if there is a limit on the $50 per port credit. We are on a 11 day cruise and 6 ports. Someone mentioned its only up to 4 ports. I have heard different answers.
When it first started it was only four ports. Now as per the terms it covers all ports.
How long to get FCC for a cruise you cancelled?

Cancelled a June cruise mid March before final payment. We also are still waiting. TA said not to worry they are overwhelmed.
