We cruised with Norwegian for the first time last month and had a ball. We have a future cruise reward certificate.

Tonight I received an e-mail from a NCL PCC. I am not sure how a PCC works - what can they do for you? Do they e-mail you with deals, new promotions etc?

Carnival Splendor in 2011...had a great time! First time in a balcony cabin.

We too cruised on the POA 15-22 February. It was our first Norwegian cruise and thought it was terrific. POA is a great way to get a taste of the Hawaiian islands, which is why we booked the cruise... worth every cent we thought. :D

We were booked in an obstructed oceanview cabin for our POA cruise last month.

NCL gave us an upsell of a GTY balcony cabin on deck 7 at a small fee, prior to final payment in November.

Luckily we took the offer, as our cruise was sold out from mid January.

We were finally assigned a cabin 1 1/2 days before our cruise - a starboard hull balcony cabin on deck 10. We were pleased with the cabin and its location.

You can always ring NCL and see if there are any "upsells" available, if nothing is showing availability online.

We booked in April last year for our POA cruise last month and we saw prices increase from there. Our sailing was sold out from mid January onwards.

It was a terrific cruise, great ship, fantastic way to see the Hawaiian islands. Highly recommended!!! :D

I see there are inside sideways cabins on deck 12 (12041, 12039 etc). For those that have stayed in one of these cabins - what did you think of the layout and location?? Any pics?

Hi, wasn't sure whether to post here or on the Norwegian board.

We are looking in Panama canal itineraries on Norwegian for next year. We are looking at LA-Miami or in the reverse.

I notice for the LA-Miami itinerary, the transit is "daylight" - it doesn't say whether it is partial or full.

Has anyone booked this cruise with Norwegian and know whether a daylight transit is a partial or full transit??

How exciting!! :D We got off Norwegian Pride of America last Saturday and enjoyed it so much we paid a future cruise deposit to use within 4 years...now to decide where to cruise to next! :cool: Looking at Alaska, Panama Canal or Europe!

We have just come back from a Hawaiian islands cruise on Norwegian Pride of America.

There is a lovely beach within walking distance, as well as Anchor mall (where there's an ABC store etc).

As mentioned by another poster, there are free shuttles/trolleys that goes to Anchor mall, Hilo Hatties and Kmart.

There is a free Hilo Hatties trolley on nearly each port.

We received our cabin assignment 1 1/2 days before our cruise. Moved from deck 7 to deck 10, in cabin 10118. The sides of the balcony were partially obstructed but as least we got a balcony and it was worth the anticipation and wait, I reckon! :D only one deck from the aloha café (buffet) etc. :D

We had a lovely cruise. Maui was cold and wet, same as Hilo. Kona and Kauai was hot, although on the second day on Kauai it was pouring for a bit!!

Not sure if anyone is looking for GTY assignment info anymore, but on 2/10 I purchased an upgrade from my assigned OB room for my 3/2 sailing on the Dawn. There was a deal where if you booked a family oceanview, you were automatically upgraded to a BD Balcony, which happened to be in GTY status. Well, today I got my room assignment and they bumped me up to a BA! Yippee!!!

That's a great upgrade!! :D
