I always say I'll wait til the last minute to book st low cars because I live within driving distance, but here I am again ready to book over a year in advance. No self control at all.
-
So I looked at the port hole cabins Which are the same rate as the 4J, but they are on deck 2 forward. I think I'd rather be higher.
-
Thanks for the responses. I'd have to go into it not expecting a price drop since the itinerary is rare out of Port Carnival and very few cabins in that category. I have no motion issues st all but it does look like an inconvenient location.
-
I think I have seen a comment by someone that they were uncomfortable with being able to see inside someone's cabin from this deck. Those cabins are considered and are priced as an inside but have windows. Has anyone been in one of those cabins? If so. Do you have to keep the curtains closed? There is an 8 day cruise out of Port Canaveral which I can only afford at an inside rate, and I'm extremely claustrophobic so don't think an inside cabin will work for me. This will probably be my only chance to sail to Aruba because DH will not go to Miami or San Juan. It's also on the most forward point of the ship. Any thoughts by anybody,?

I posted the same complaint and got the same suggestion. My solution for the future is to ditch NCL and book Carnival Early Saver. You don't have the option to cancel but you get all promo up to 2 days before cruise date. Now I'll get pounded again but I'm getting used to that.
-
I always do. No matter which or how long.
-
I won't ever book NCL early again. If I can't get on, I just won't go. I've had my booking a year and 10 cabins are still available and the drops and promos are coming hard and fast and they won't five me OBC. Won't happen again. I'll book Carnival Early Saver from now in.
-
Me too. I've sailed Carnival for years and just discovered the serenity deck last Nivember on the Sensation. Loved it.
-
Does Liberty have a serenity deck? If so, on aft or front?
-
I am not saying they did not enjoy both cruises. Just that they preferred the Carnival in this case. I think Spendor is bigger than Paradise though.
-
Although a previous reviewer liked the Epic shows, my friends said they were pretty bad. They also don't like not being able to see the water from public areas. They preferred the food on Carnival. They themselves were surprised they preferred Carnival because they expected to prefer NCL.
-
As promised. My friend just came back from b2b Splendor/Epic out of Miami. They preferred Splendor. I tried posting warning about parking break in but thread was deleted. The name of the lot is still showing if you want to see..
-
That will be great because once I book Early Saber, there's no turning back.
-
I'm definitely interested in these reviews because we are looking at Liberty for the most expensive and longest cruise we've ever been on (8 days). Wish I weren't so claustrophobic so we could do an inside like our friends.
-
Thank you all for your suggestions. I will call and clearly state my request and explain why I want the information. The cruise itinerary I want is pretty limited and the price is a little high right now. I'm thinking I had better not count on a price drop but would like to evaluate my chances.
-
Can some of you pros tell me how to find out how many cabins in each classification on a particular ship. I want to book Early Saver but would like to know what my chances are for a price drop. Right now, the price seems kind of high. Seems like a price drop for an inside would be really good because there are so many. There appear to be far fewer ocean view, but I would like to know how many.

We sailed Carnival Sensation on November 11 and were served lobster and prime rib in Fantasy dining room Your Time Dining on 2nd night. Both were excellent. My dh had both.
-
Early Saver for me too.
-
Hard to believe changed so quickly in 1 month. We had our time dining in Fantasy and all the food was well seasoned and service was great. Cabin steward was excellent. The buffet area was well run with tables cleared quickly. Wonder what happened?
-
We must have been lucky or short Carnival cruises attract interesting people. On a 4 day cruise, we had very very entertaining people that we thoroughly enjoyed seated with us every night. All different. All fun. Freestyle, the tables for 2 are so close, you can visit if you choose or not. We always do and enjoy.
-
If no one else jumps in here, I'll have something next week. I have a friend who is doing b2b Epic/Splendor and will be at my house Dec 21 and I'll get the scoop. But I don't see how you can compare Epic and Paradise. Too big of a difference.

The prices just got down to what we paid on 3/15/14 for our 2/22/15 cruise. Still no drops and there are 10 cabins open on our deck. Can't understand why they are not dropping in view of current fuel costs.
-
I'm booked on Sun for 2/22/15 and there are 10 cabins open in my category, but they are not dropping prices. I keep hoping for an OBC. Carnival would be dropping prices but not NCL.

Let us know when you get it and what you got please.
Early Saver Question
in Carnival Cruise Lines

I called Carnival to inquire about the number of cabins in category 4J because I was under the impression that there has to be a cabin available in your category to qualify for a price drop in ES. She said that is not true. She said an ES can get a price drop even if all cabins are full in your category. Is that true? What do you pros say?
