  1. We have the classic package included in our Apex cruise.  Probably don't need the next package up, but how is the upgrade handled in any event?  As of my planner today the classic package is $47; while the next package is $55.  Do we just pay the difference, plus 20%?

Sure hope we're back to sailing by the end of April!

  2. So great to see you back on board again!  Really needing a cruise fix.  Our May 2020 on Harmony was, of course, cancelled, so this helped me pretend I was on that cruise.  We had a ton of OBC that we used for the BP (at the unreal price of $18/day) and a day pass to the Coco Cay Beach Club. It was also enough to pay for our internet.  Oh well...easy come easy go!  You're not the first person to complain about the spinning guy at the Aqua Show!  Now I'm glad we missed him.

So to make up for no 2020 cruise, we've booked two for April-May 2021.  Fingers crossed, we'll be able to sail!

    Don't be a stranger!

  3. Congrats on the new purchase!

Our plan is to sell our SF Colonial in northern Virginia and buy a small house in central Florida.   After our cruise from PC next month, we were going to spend some time looking around. Well...those plans changed!  Cruise cancelled and we’re under a stay-at-home order until June 10th.  Hoping to still make it down there in the fall sometime. Looking at cruises for next March.

  4. We're booked in a JS on Harmony in May (fingers crossed we go) and the other day I received the Royal Bid upgrade offer and the included offers were all full suites.  There were three one-bedroom GS the other day; sold out now.

Last year, we had a D1 (oceanview, large balcony) on Anthem, and out upgrade e-mail included full suites as well.

Maybe it has to do with C&A tier?  We're D.  As of this morning fares had increased by almost $1k since we booked last Spring.

Here are a few options.  Some extreme others make more senses.

    1. stop sailing completely

    2.  not allow anyone on board that has traveled  to/through a country with an outbreak of greater than X people unless 30 days has passed (15 days could also be an option)

    3. Sail but at the first sign someone has (runny nose, fever, cough, stomach issues or any other type of cold/flu symptoms) isolate immediately and kick them off the ship at the next port of call.
    4. Combination of 2 and 3

    5.  Roll the dice do basic screenings and hope for the best

As for #3, I bet soon none of the countries being visited will accept a cruise passenger showing signs of illness.

Earlier in the month, I wasn't worried about our early May cruise; I'm beginning to get worried.

  6. Have really enjoyed your review and pictures.  We will be doing the same itinerary in reverse in May, and have booked the Coco Cay Beach Club Day Pass.  Looking forward to seeing pictures and reading your review!

I'm guessing I did something right in using the app when checking in -- ours has "Expedited Arrival," too.  I couldn't get my husband's pass to show up, but after he fiddled with it on his phone, it finally showed up on my phone, too.  But I also printed the hard copies, just in case...  Just waiting for the luggage tags (then it's really happening!).

  7. We have a JS on our upcoming Harmony cruise.  Just for fun I called to see what an upgrade to a GS would be (there were only 3 left at the time).  It was over $2,000, so we're keeping the JS and spending that money in Disney World after we leave Harmony.

If it had been what your difference was, you can bet we'd upgrade!  We've had JS before, never a GS...yet 😉
