  1. I found you!! Bon Voyage and safe travels! Don’t drink yourself completely to death, you must live to tell the tales!
  2. So we’re looking at pricing some of our future cruise expenses and I was looking at port parking in Galveston. When I went to the Port of Galveston website it is showing prices for the SMP Garage, says it’s self parking at 150 Rosenberg St. Is that the most convenient garage to where the Jubilee will be docked? We’re not necessarily wanting the cheapest parking, we really would like a secured garage.
  3. Possibly? I think it depends on your needs. But if you’re someone who’s going to be easily irritated with children then I’d say no. But it does sound nice to have the buffet with breakfast, lunch, snack, coffee and ice cream right there if that’s worth it to you!
  4. I am so jealous!! My stainless is like 10 years old and no magnets for us.
  5. What is within walking distance of the Grand Galvez? It’s kind of hard to tell on the map. Any casual dining we don’t have to get dressed up for, but can sit down and eat (not takeout)? What about the pleasure pier, can you walk from there? I really want to stay there, it’s such a gorgeous property. Any recent reviews?
  6. So we had 14410 on Mardi Gras back in January. We absolutely loved it. We got to know our next door neighbors and they came over for a tour out of curiosity. We had my husband and I and our 4 year old twins and we had plenty of space. The bathroom is small, but bigger than the balcony cabin bathrooms. It was manageable. Bathrooms aren’t a dealbreaker for me by any means. IMG_5180.MOV
  7. I’m following along and enjoying the comparisons! Thanks for the review!
  8. I think it just depends on how close your room is to the closest bar. My husband and I took turns going to pick up drinks. They had no problem with him getting a drink for each of us as long as he brought both cards. It wasn’t as inconvenient as we expected it to be.
  9. Have a great time!! I can’t wait to read more.
  10. I pay tips before the cruise because I know I’m going to pay them and I just don’t want them charged at the end. I like having everything paid for when we start our vacation.
  11. Honestly, no. What’s listed above is what you get. Carnival’s suite perks aren’t much to get excited about. And honestly the only thing I loved was the priority boarding.
  12. I think so. Right when cruising started back up there were discounts and free cheers offers. But that seemed more geared to getting people to cruise again. I doubt you’ll see those again.
  13. If you arrive early they’ll put you in the line for early/late arrivals. I would think by 2:30 check in wouldn’t be crazy/busy..
  14. Have fun!! I’m following along. I’m sure we’ll have spring break cruises in our future as our kids get older. May the odds be in your favor!
  15. Carnival doesn’t have a coffee plan. It’s the soda package or cheers. The cheers package does include the specialty coffee and soda though!
  16. For future reference for anyone searching for info.. we had ocean suite 14410 and had no problems with the side table or an extension cord reaching the outlets. We did unplug the cord and get it out of the way during the so no one would trip. The side tables are small but definitely large enough to hold a cpap without moving around any furniture.
  17. Are you talking about checking in for your cruise? If so it’s in Eastern time.
  18. I’d call carnival. Somewhere on your booking page you should be able to mark someone as your travel companion and that should link your kids to you. I’m assuming you’re in different cabins? If you can’t find it I’d call the carnival 800 number.
  19. I couldn’t get it to work. But I was able to make FaceTime to work on the Mardi Gras in January.
  20. I read an article that popped up on the face page yesterday and it sure sounded like a big deal. They said something like it being half the size of the United States or something? I feel bad for the communities that have to spend a ton of time cleaning it up!
  21. We had 14410 on the Mardi Gras in January. And although the room was more narrow than we’re used to and the bathroom was smaller than other ship’s cabins, we loved our suite. The suite bathrooms are larger than the ones in the standard balcony cabins. We had our 2 kids with us and we weren’t cramped at all.
  22. Thanks for doing a review. I’ll be following along, and I can’t wait to see what you have to say. We just got off MG in January and we really enjoyed her minus the MDR.
