  1. I reached "drinks on us" status  on day 3 of our 7 day Conquest cruise. I never had to go to the cage. I just stopped one of the slot attendants and showed him that I had reached 1500 points and he took care of the rest. On the Conquest, I found the drink staff to be very attentive (I was also tipping for each drink). They took very good care of me and deserved each tip they got. ;)

That is good to know!!! We will be on Conquest in April and we love to spend time in the casino!!

  2. Nothing until this last cruise....

WATER PILLS!!! aka Diurex, etc.

I've never needed them on a cruise before and have never brought them with me.

Also, I travel with a small pharmacy but this time, for some reason, my ankles got seriously swollen.

    It was horrible :(

They DO NOT sell them on the ship and you can NOT get them at the Infirmary either because they're considered medication.

I saw people with their legs wrapped, etc.

They are now in my traveling drug store.

Good one!! I had swelling issues on our last cruise and definitely need to add this to my list!!!!

  3. We stayed at Sleep inn in dec and I was nervous as well but the free hotel shuttle picked us up at MIA and the driver was so informative he told us about Toms and said it was good and it was. After dropping us off at the hotel whenever we would walk he would wave and honk at us. Not alot to do in the area so be prepared for that. The Hotel desk staff were extremely friendly, and helpful. Our room was clean, bed soft, the airport noise was not an issue and the hotel uses a 2nd party shuttle to get you to the port the next day and you pick a time and its 10.00 per person. We purchased fttf and we wanted to be there early and the shuttle was right on time and there was 3 other couples with us for other cruise lines. We are going again in Dec of this year and I already booked them again. The breakfast area was packed with people but the selection of food was good. Wafflemaker, sausage, cereal, bagels, donuts, juice, coffee. We just took it to our room. The pool was chilly in dec but we layed in the sun and I did get in for a little bit. It was clean and behind a locked gate that they give you the code to. All in all I would recommend this hotel. We enjoyed it and trust me I do ALOT of research before I travel.

AWESOME!!!! That makes me feel a lot better!!!!!!! Thanks!!!!!

  4. One thing I notoriously forget to pack is PJ's!!!! I don't know what it is that makes me forget but I have 4 out of the last 5 cruises!!! LOL!!! We also hadn't been able to find our binoculars for the past trips and I found them the other day and went ahead and threw them in the suitcase so I wouldn't forget again!!!!!

  5. credit card maybe but never with a debit card. Credit can be cleaned up easier but with debit they can drain your account and you may not be able to recoupe that money.

Exactly!!! I work at a credit union and tell my members all the time to only use credit cards or purchase a prepaid visa when traveling because if someone were to steal your info then you could only be responsible for up to $50!!!

  6. I like to take showers in the spa. They are sooo much bigger than in your stateroom and some ships have mutliple shower heads. I would order a BLT everynight before bed time :) and they were always delish.

I have never tried the showers in the spa but it is on my list of Must-Do's for this upcoming cruise!!
