Absolutely, using electronic babysitters.

I work in a major department store and I have stories. It's depressing to see how parents refuse to see what their children are doing. We see babies, yes babies in strollers with their faces in a cell phone. Usually this cell phone is at maximum volume. These kids will never learn discipline or how to interact with society.

Is there a place to go to see when ships are changing home ports?

Seeing the ship for the first time up close. My first cruise. It was the OG Celebration. I wasn't prepared to see such a large ship, 😁. That always sticks in mind everytime I get a look of the ship we are about to cruise on.

That'll be great. The hubs and I have done the excursions in most ports so now we look for relaxing beach days. Will this be a Carnival pier or for cruise lines?

We stayed on the ship the last time we were in Belize. I think we enjoyed that better. Love an empty ship!

On my first cruise back in '07, on the OG Celebration. We were coming back from Key West to the Port of Jacksonville. The caption said there was a sub tropical storm (this was also in May) in front of us and he was going to go around it so we will be late getting back to Jacksonville. Sometime during the night, we were awaken to huge waves and wind. Being my first cruise, I was scared to death. We found out in the morning that the captian decided to go through the storm. I don't know what his reasoning was and we were'nt given an explanation.

I've never been charged for using a TA. They get their money from the cruise company.

The library is usually very quiet. Do you have a balcony cabin? That is usually my go to space for peace. Just me and the ocean.

Good to know. Thanks. We like to tip with cash, but leaving a $1 or $2 cash tip just looks chinzy even tho they are getting an 18% on the bill.

Just thinking out loud. If you add an additional tip, does that go to the server who gave excellent service or is that pooled?

With that amount of damage, I can't see how it was able to sail for the next cruise.

Of course we always start the cruise with a Fun Ship with a rum floater. My favorite drink is an Alchemy dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives.

We wanted to change cruises. I called PVP and we booked with a non refundable, non transferable deposit. We would lose our deposit if we chose to change cruises. It all depends on what kind of promo you booked under.

Belize is a tendering port. It's about a 20 minute trip. Costa Maya has a pier. It's a long walk.

Not a fan of Belize. The last time we were there, we stayed on the ship. The ship has a whole different vibe on a port day and you stay on the ship.

Can we pay for the gift cards with the Carnival card? We're within a couple of thousand dollars of OBC with the Carnival Card. Also, is AARP the only ones with the 10% discount?

Yes, we used a PVP. She spent a lot of time searching for us. We actually looked at another cruise that our son and family booked. Our perfect cabin was available. The promo under which we booked was still available, but our deposit is non transferable. That was a deal breaker fir us. Oh well. Regardless of where our cabin is, we'll have a great cruise.

I have heard of people removing tips. I wonder how common this is. I think that is so despicable and selfish.

Unfortunately, cleaning the dog potty area is probably not as gross as cleaning the human restrooms. 😝

That's not quite true. Speaking as someone who was a server. Our tips were divided with the hostess. Working in a small restaurant with mo hostess, I kept the entire tip. I don't see the harm in asking where OUR money is being distributed.
