     "guys" food/drinks? 🤔

Sounds like Nachi will meet your desires for a quiet, relaxing beach - great food and good service, small pool with swim up bar and a hot tub that always seems just warm to me.  Current cab fares will be posted but expect to pay about $25+ each way for 5 of you sharing a van taxi.

Stupid autocorrect.  GOOD food and drinks.  We want good, not guys.  Lol

Yes but I have never had one. Here is a previous thread

Another place that comes to mind is Occidental, which has an adult-only pool and quieter and busier areas. Park Royal has an adult-only pool too but I found that too noisy for what we were looking for and prefer their main pool near the lobby. Not sure if any of the hotels are offering day passes at this time. Have you considered a cabana at Mr Sanchos, or Cabana Beach, Chankanaab?

Do you require beach (actual sand), ocean/pool swimming, water activities, massage, AI, quiet/active? Perhaps if you could say what your priorities are someone will be able to help you better. Also which cruise line/pier you will arrive at?

We are sailing with Celebrity... Not certain what pier.  We want guys food/ drinks, quiet chill atmosphere, massages would be nice.  No water toys needed.  Comfortable Lounge chairs and umbrellas, pool and Beach.

  3. We are in Cozumel on Nov 13 and want to do a day pass at an adults only, chill, good food and drinks, beach club.  We are a group of five 50-60 year old (but much younger at heart) women.  Is Cozumel allowing independent excursions or do we need to book through the cruise line ( please say yes)?  Recommendations for a very nice Beach club for the day?

  4. We are booked on a 4 night GC cruise in November...GC was to be our only stop.  This is a ladies weekend cruise celebrating a 70th birthday.  Id be fine with a 100 percent sea day cruise.  Heck, anything at long as it's not cancelled.  We've been planning this for a year and a half.

  5. Our experience has been that we never had to wait for a table at any meal.  We do typically prefer eating alone at breakfast because I can be a little too "chatty" for most people in the morning and don't want to subject them to it LOL!   Of course we will eat with others if it means a wait for a table otherwise.

We had a few people on our cruise that weren't happy--one couple weren't going to be happy unless they had been on a private yacht with an entire staff at their beck and call.  They were just really challenging people to be around--for other guests and definitely the crew.  Overall people were happy and social, and we made a few friends who will be friends for life who we have--or have plans to--cruise with again.
There are people like this on EVERY cruise line, unfortunately.

  6. We are looking to do another Med cruise. We've done this itinerary on Celebrity, but for some reason the Windstar ships are calling my name this time. Sell me on what's better about Windstar vs. Larger cruise ships please.

  7. The only ones I saw when we were there were the permanent ones. Sorry, I don't know if they have others to rent. They do have a large covered deck where the restaurant is. You could always sit up there in the shade

  8. I just got back from our fourth Celebrity Cruise in January, on the summit. I felt the same way the OP did , with the quality going down on Celebrity Cruises. We were ignored by bar wait staff , and upon returning from a port day, there was not a morsel of food to be found in the ocean view Cafe until after we had already set sail. I had people on this message board telling me I was mistaken or exaggerating, but I was not. Modern Luxury it ain't anymore.

  9. Nordic Prince, I have also sealed on the equinox, as well as the summit previously. On both those occasions, yes, there was food in the buffet Upon returning from Port. Plenty of food.

On this most recent sailing, there was no food in the buffet Upon returning from the port. This is a marked difference from my previous two Celebrity Cruises, and that is why I was distressed about it.

Please do not state "of course there is food available in the buffet." There was not. And if this is a trend That Celebrity is following to keep costs down, I am not a fan.

Another person who was on the exact same cruise that I was, stated that the masked girl also was not open during this time so I could not have gotten a hamburger from there.

And I resent the fact that you're telling me I am lying. You were not on the summit.

  10. We got up there approx. 45 minutes prior to the event, and they were showing The 100 Foot Journey. Not as Taste of Film; just showing the movie.

My only complaint was the lack of restrooms up on the top deck. It was quite a walk, two decks down, to use the rest room. If they are going to utilize that deck as a venue, they need to find a spot to add restrooms. This was on the Summit

Sorry, 7 small plates paired with the movie. Really fun night. Except our first try got rained out. Second night was so rough they lost the entire table of liquor and DD got seasick. But the concept is fun.

  12. I was at Turners Beach in January, and it's every bit as spectacular as I remembered. Crystal clear gorgeous coastline, bar had great food and drinks. Got a foot massage food only $15. It was a great day.
