that's really sad to me bc i love royal Caribbean and my understanding was princess was a step up from that. we have a cruise coming in may and i had the option between royal and princess and i hope i don't regret it

My understanding is that Alaska did not go with the program. After reading some of the articles... I am going to stick to cash and card to pay for my things to help out the locals vs using the medallion

At the Alaska ports, have you noticed if any of the stores/shops allow the use of the Medallion?

It's been 6 weeks since the new plus and premier packages have been released and there are cruisers who have had experiences with Plus VS. Premier... Including differences. Account charges at the end... etc. What are your thoughts now that you have had a chance to EXPERIENCE the levels of service?

i know this doesn't compare but over the holidays the airline cancelled my flight and said- oh yes we can send you in 1 week, a week from today. that's all we can do. you mean when my trips over and vacation times over and my place i'm staying isn't available. yes that's what we mean. here is $100 each ticket for your inconvenience

I have never had a good steak in a restaurant except for 1x in Texas at Longhorn. I have tried many steakhouses and no one does it quite like home grilled. I am going to be on the Ruby in May and this is my "anniversary dinner". Believe me. I will be more critical than the worst of cruise critics as I have rarely if ever been impressed with steak in a restaurant. Unfair ? Maybe... but even the best steakhouses just don't cook great steaks anymore.

my pro tip is to book your specialty restaurants for ad early as you can handle bc they tend to last longer and you still get evenings. i have 2 booked on sea days at 5:30... strangely won't get out of there until 7:30-8... my other dinners we do 7 or 8 depending on the port or day in MDR... beats the early crowd but you can still catch the late show... and have evening cocktails and relaxation

Flight got cancelled and we are going a day early to Vancouver, BC. What is a good hotel to stay in? I understand we are flying in almost an hour away. Where should we stay? Near the airport? Downtown near the cruise terminal? What is a good hotel, close to food, maybe some restaurant attached or entertainment style venues before we cruise?
